I was just typing above, they recently gave Mega Man 2 the Color treatment, omg its wonderfully glorious! And they did give Metroid 2 the Color treatment awhile back! Playing that thru an Everdrive would be insanely good!

My GBC already looks amazing with the 2.6" IPS mod I installed. Anyone seeing that back in 1998 would feel like they saw the 2nd coming of Christ. Anyone seeing OLED quality would feel like they saw the meaning of the universe.

Not that I’ve seen for OLED, as the front bezel is laminated to the screen itself. I have seen some IPS screen kits without the light up logo though, like this one: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dmj64fd
Thanks for the video! I love the idea having a large Amoled screen but the minimum screen brightness still being "very bright" is probably a deal breaker for me. I fear eye strain when playing in dark surroundings. How is everybodies experience so far?

If you plan to play it a lot as a regular system, I’d suggest the FPGBC. If you have a GBC already that you want to restore, or are trying to stay on original hardware, I’d slightly suggest modding it like this, but know that because of the age of the motherboard components you may end up running into issues that have to be addressed immediately or down the road. Hi, how's the quality of the transparent/clear shell and plastic button of the Hispeedo OLED package? Are the plastics good quality? ALso which transparent shell is the most stunning from Hispeedo? The clear royal blue, clear green, clear purple, clear light blue or another transparent color from Hispeedo? Thank you. God bless you.
The shell is great quality, but I didn’t care for the buttons (had some rough edges, etc). I haven’t seen all the different colors but I like the normal clear that I got. My other one is solid white which also looks nice.
@@TynologyGaming very cool, that white one, I would make it all matte finish apply matte techniques, it'll look like soft PBT favored by mechanical keyboard enthusiasts or the premium plastic that's the back casing of a Wiimote :-)
You can mod a stock shell but it’s not worth it, the replacements are near 1:1 at this point, just get one compatible with funnyplaying screens (nearly all of them are)
What if i wanna present console gameboys style i founded something like Ambernic-RG35XX can be good or its other better alternative as presend console....
Specifically Nintendo handheld devices. The DMG gets the iconic status, the Pocket (and Light) for it's huge improvement in battery efficiency and screen tech, the GBA and SP for massive leap forward with "SNES" quality performance, the DS is the best selling handheld in history, so that leaves this little window for the GBC, with few exclusive games and minor improvements over its predecessors. I have a lot of history with Nintendo handhelds and feel the GBC is better than people (especially in the 90s) gave it credit for 🤷♂️

Honestly they both look incredible. I also still love my IPS. For a new install it’s hard not to go with the OLED 🤩

With scanlines it can get fairly dim, just something I noticed right off the bat vs the IPS

RG35XX is great (I also have a Miyoo Mini Plus). But these devices are emulation (which is fine), not using original Game Boy hardware
