Old bar manager here, in the UK the flash coolers used for Guinness are typically a few degrees cooler than you would have in Ireland. I actually went over to Dublin for a week just to drink Guinness and see what the difference is between how Guinness is served.
The big reason, is Guinness settles much quicker than a warmer pint.

Was in London the weekend just gone (Fri 24/03/23) went to the Guinea Grill - packed pub as id expect for a Friday afternoon. Plenty drinking the G which is a good sign. Fair wait from ordering to delivery, the bar staff know how to pour a decent pint. Perfectly fine drink (had 8) so no complaints - not the best ive ever had but certainly drinkable. Saturday (25/03/23) went to the Coach and Horses Covent Garden - opens 12:00 with around 8 people waiting at the door - by 12:30 the guy on the door is turning people away - small pub that got busy very quick - and I know why - the G was superb !! great to watch settle, lovely creamy dome on every pint - and taste brilliant - every pint (had 8) so of the 2 - its the Coach & Horses everytime - but the Guinea was good

When Guinness introduced 'Extra cold' years ago in the UK, many pubs would serve both options unless they specialised?
These days, most tend to have just the one tap, which usually is the 'Extra cold'. I suppose you have to put this down to cellar space and turn over? Pubs do vary though, the one we used to use on Fulham Broadway had at least nine Guinness taps on the one horse shoe shaped bar.

In the UK we wash glasses (or should wash glasses) in an automatic cabinet glass wash... Nothing other than glasses should be placed in there, that's very important. The glasswash uses detergent and rinse aid. Rinse aid is very important and not easy to find the right one. Use the wrong one or none at all and they will dry streaky, causing the issue you see with Guinness (it's not 'just dirty / greasy glasses that cause it.)
The problem is we usually air dry glasses. That becomes a problem only if it's not done right. If you don't take the glasses out immediately after the cycle finishes (when they're red hot) they won't air dry properly. If you put the glasses straight on the shelf rather they air drying them in the tray somewhere that air can get underneath, then they won't dry properly. All of these things, along with using the wrong rinse aid or no rinse aid at all can cause it.

An Irish barman at the Porter House (Covent Garden) recommended I got to the coach and horses, as he said its the best Stout in the UK, including better than the Porter House stout. Porter House, if you’ve not been is the best stout for me.

Get yourself to Hammersmith. Next to Hammersmith Bridge is a pub called The Old City Arms. Best pint of Guinness in London. Plus, it is less than a fiver! A proper pub, not some fake Oirish place.
