All your videos are simple and straight forward which I love. I just wish I had access to a quarter of the tools and space to do any of this stuff myself.
2 comments. Need (easier) to use a ratchet wrench for removing the nuts. You didn't torque the nuts for the Front Sway Bar TOP nut is 28 Foot lbs. BOTTOM nut is 25 Foot lbs. as per the Honda Service / Repair manual.
I use pliers or a vice grip to crack it free it tears the boot in the process but if it's being replaced it doesn't matter makes it a lot easier and faster
I bought new links for all 4 wheels on my Acura TL and I can't wait to change them to get rid of the rattling noise! Does anyone know why Honda sway bar links make so much noise even if they appear to be alright?
Make sure when checking them that both front wheels are off ground. Because if you just jack up one side the link Is under tension and won’t make noise
Hi, if anyone has an answer to my question please welcome! I just removed the link it from my civic then I realized the new one are slightly different in a way that it doesn't do a 90 degrees, it's slightly leaning. These are the original ones tho! Does anyone have an explanation?
+Gaming Construct Thanks for checking us out! You can go with our kit that comes with the trolley jack and 2 jack stands. This will be sufficient with a vast majority of vehicles. This is a great starter jack and the link to this is www.1aauto.com/trolley-jack/i/1axaa00068
Take this from someone who has screwed around with those Allen keys; don’t even bother. Just take a grinder and cut the bolt out on the side of the rubber boot on the link.
The rubber bushings get bad after a while and become loose causing a knocking sound while driving, not a major safety issue but it could affect the handling of the vehicle
It means don't overtighten (apply excessive force for a socket of that size) or undertighten (apply too little force). When in doubt, tighten a nut first, then put on a second nut and use a torque wrench to get the feel for it.
Dude I did the same for all my all my four sway link bars on 2007 civic Honda..When I tried the first and saw that the car had its original Oem sway links bars and the rust and troublesome it was giving me.I said screw and busted it out my grinder...real fast !
A knocking or clunking noise coming from any side of the vehicle when going over bumps, almost sounds like a broken shock but you can definitely feel something is wrong with the steering.. trust me all four of mine are broken lol
@@TylertheGeek28 I have a Civic and mine is completely broken on the passenger side. But I didn't notice any issues with the car I only noticed because I was changing tires.

I put AC delco links on all 4 and fronts are failing after only 1.5 year. should have put oem honda links. originals lasted 14 years
I love you guys so much lmfao
How can you tighten it without a torque wrench ? what do you mean nice and snug ?

Xactly.
Where exactly did you cut them off? I'm thinking this is what I will need to do on my 2008. And did you use a regular angle grinder?
