Dredhold sounds like the perfect location to recruit from for a campaign I'm calling "The Bastard Brigade."
It's basically Suicide Squad meets Independence Day.
The diesel steampunk realm is invaded by an alien vangaurd fleet, and the king recruits the worst of the worst dregs of society to scout them out and eliminate the threats to the empire...
