I love listening to Keith talk about Eberron. I wish the campaign setting had more reach. His design philosophy and attention to detail always leaves me impressed.

Yeah Eberron manages to include everything from DnD without feeling like a kitchen sink setting the same way the realms do.

Keith Baker is such an inspiration for me, he's really a worldbuilding legend into my eyes

Really like those recommendations for high lvl adventures as a way to help plan how lower lvl activities might build up over time. Looking forward to reading the detail

27:00 I would still very much like to have reccomendations where to put guns in there because I use the setting for pathfinder which has has guns.

He actually puts it in Chronicles of Eberron, but prefers the Magic as Techonology angle to gunpowder, but suggested a DM could use it for say Dhakaani or another isolated advanced culture so it doesn't imbalance the world powers?

9:45 I think a good idea of you dont want your character to be religious is to do the Malcolm Reynolds thing. Used be religious but then the war happened.

Daine, the main protagonist of Keith's first Eberron novel, is this guy.
The book is "The City of Towers". It's part one of the Dreaming Dark trilogy.
I've not made it that far into the video. Maybe I've just told you something that Keith has already said.

18:00 I would rather just start a new campaign than deal with stuff like that. Big world ending threats and planar travel never got me the least bit excited. I like personal stories.

Both can be awesome. I love how Eberron gives so many great hooks for both types of story.
I was never into planar travel, but Eberron's planes are amazing. Their treatment in "Exploring Eberron" has forever altered (improved) my understanding of how to use them in games.
