    This virtual program welcomed local and state of Georgia professionals who provided information on statewide resources for families with autistic children.
    Moderator: Dr. Michael Morrier, PhD, BCBA-D, owner and founder of Morrier Consulting LLC; previous Associate Professor at the Emory Autism Center in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Emory University School of Medicine
    Panelists and topics:
    Synita Griswell, MPH: The status and progress of the Georgia Department of Public Health’s (DPH) statewide systematic approach to improving access to early identification, screening, diagnosis, and intervention for children with ASD, including potential solutions for public health challenges contributing to limited access, particularly in the case of Early Intervention families.
    Mahila (Leah) Haider-Bardill: Crisis services for youth on the spectrum available through the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD).
    Dr. Nicole Hendrix, BCBA, and Dr. Katherine Pickard, PhD: An overview of an evidence-based early intervention program that gives parents a roadmap for how to teach their children new communication skills, as well as the different initiatives that are focused on increasing access to the program across Georgia.
