    Great content my friend. Now you have gotten your self a shop, but you started like a lot of us fix our cars, just a few jack stands and a concrete floor. In some instances dirt floor. No 80 thousand dollars worth of tools. Your videos have give me some hope of turbo my 98 prelude without a tune, just injectors and fuel pump. Here's the quick, it's an automatic. They get a lot of hate in the prelude community because of the transmission. I asked for some advice for a turbo in a prelude chat a while ago, and i thought they were going to come and burn my car by the responses I got. But you give me hope again, just keep it low on the boost, Thanks. from West Virginia USA.

If one of those strings were to get caught up in one of the pulleys you would be injured for sure. I know that you weren’t hanging all that far down but it’s still a good practice to not allow hanging strings and such. Same goes with metal rings on your fingers, as well. Around 16psi doubles power, in theory it would be 14.7:1, but there are efficiency issues that make it around 16psi to double it. So 5 psi would be worth 5/16 or 31%.

    • @ProDigit80
      @ProDigit80 Год назад +1

      @Dennis Robinson depends on how you look at it. 14psi only gets about 50% extra power, if you look at it from the perspective of there already being 14psi in the atmosphere, plus 14psi is actually 28psi. By those metrics, you won't ever come even close to 10% more power with 16psi (only 2psi boost) Or, if your zero line is 14psi, your total psi will be 30, and it's probably possible to make 60% more power with that. But definitely not +100%.

    • @dennisrobinson8008
      @dennisrobinson8008 Год назад

      On the bazillion dynos I've seen 8 psi gets around 50% over na and 15 to 16 psi gives 2x over na. Its not perfect but 14 psi isn't usually 2x its a bit less.

    Just to bring up the turbo sizing on the d series, I agree a td04 is the perfect size, but in my opinion, anything smaller isn’t really toooo worth it. it then become an issue of lack of flow/ boost output, td04 is probably the smallest turbo that will happily boost along the mighty Y4 for days. However the bigger version From Subaru the vf35? Or someshit would absolutely shit on any size eBay turbo, they’ve got the balls to boost up high & keep flow at any rpm/ speed, they’re also very responsive! But I’m pretty sure they’re not too cheap anymore, bang for the bucks can vouch td04 +1, however personally what I found with the td04 having a smaller diameter it runs out of juice in 4th/5th gear, wouldn’t be ideal for roll racing but still gonna chop fools
