They don't pay that actual amount, only a percentage of it. This is why it's so easy for these criminals to post bail and go out and commit more crimes.
In my homestate of Alabama. It's usually 10% of the amount...u can use cash and or property. If it's a straight cash bond, then the full amount is required, if I'm not mistaken.

I knew a male who was charged and convicted of the exact same thing. The charges were manslaughter, felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child.
