This is my very first comment ever, but as a father of a 1 1/2 year old daughter this hits different. As a grown-ass man I’m sitting here at work, tears in my eyes for about a hour and still can‘t get over this. His face said it all. He would give his life to bring her back. The pain that father has to go through knowing he lost his little angel by HIS OWN fault cannot be described. There is nothing that can ever compensate his pain. Now I need to go home early, buy my daughter a present and treasure every moment with her (Like I always do). Take care everyone

Honestly im not really empathetic and only feel weird when I see emotional outbursts on RUclips. I understand how everyone's heart hurts for this dad and his family. It's such a tragic loss, but are we going to ignore the fact that he was never supposed to have possession of guns due to priors? In addition, he decided to go against those orders and didn't keep the gun in a safe location away from where a kid could get a hold of it; furthermore, there wasn't a trigger lock. It came with a steel cable to tether the box to my seat, and 2 keys. Illegal firearms aren’t cheap. He had the money for that, but not for the safety equipment?
