The woman and daughter who died is the family of my sister Co worker. It was his wife and daughter and their other daughter was following behind them. The entire family and job are just heart broken. .. keep the family in prayers. 🙏🏾

I love how understanding and empathetic everyone was. Sitting in traffic for hours; not showing annoyance or anger but complete understanding and care for what took place. Shoutout to the man who said he’d basically be willing to sit there all day if that’s what it took to “clean up” the accident involving fatalities. Takes a real man and a real human being to have this much compassion and understanding when others would be quick to show anger.

My daughter was stuck on 17 for 3 hours trying to get home from work in the ER she works at from a 12 hour shift. Her car was overheated, she was crying and upset and there was some stuff going on with other drivers that was scary. But she got home alive. I am thankful, RIP to those that didn't.

I recently drove from NY to Florida and back and really hated it and did not feel safe. Everyone tailgates. Everyone is going over 95mph. Everyone is cutting people off. Everyone is in a rush instead of enjoyethe drive. A lot of wrekless drivers.

Latest reports are that the driver of the big rig was intoxicated. IF that is true he deserves nothing but prison for many, many years.

Most accidents are avoidable if we practice defensive driving. Always give yourself plenty of distance and enough time to slow down or come to a complete stop. Please don't speed and no texting while driving. I traveled on that
stretch of I 95. Some people drive 95 mph on I-95.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Don't assume someone was texting while driving. When people make assumptions like that, they think the worst in people.

Drivers if you are driving at excessive speeds and then you decide at the last second that you want to stop in at the welcome center, please don’t slam on brakes in the fast lane and attempt to cross 4 lanes to exit. That careless type driving causes accidents like this

It just takes one careless or impatient person to ruin the lives of many. I’ve seen people too many times cross two,three or even four lanes to try and make an exit instead of accepting it and turning off at the next exit to come back to it…not saying that’s what caused it, just that people drive like that all the time and cut off semis too, which can NOT stop on a dime like some people think…

If you are paying attention and driving correctly you won't have accidents. I've been driving over 20 yrs and I've never been in accident. Never. Because I follow signs. I follow road rules. I'm considerate to other drivers. I don't text n drive or use phone n drive ever. You can avoid accidents by driving right and paying attention.
This is one reason why I do not travel to interstate. I find me a County road and take that into where I need to go. A lot of County roads lead into side streets that will take you across the State of Florida and lead you out to where you need to be. Our roadways in the State of Florida are so dangerous especially during early morning, late evening, and rush hour traffic. Praying for all the people that were involved in this accident and I hope that the people who were killed get real justice.

The truck driver was going south, lost control, crossed into the northbound lane, got hit by multiple vehicles.
So sad! Prayers to everyone that was involved & hope they make a full recovery & to the family that lost their loved ones I'm so sorry & my deepest sympathy.
My heart goes out to the families , sorry for their loss. I lost a family member last month due to a boat accident. I feel the pain when love one's past away . God bless the families for this horrible accident.

@@alphaomega1351 I have to agree w/that. I gotta believe that most of those ppl trapped in that traffic were saying things like "Are you kidding me? Seriously?! I was suppose to already be at such & such place by now!" etc. Ik after an hour of just sitting still in a traffic jam or just bumper to bumper traffic, I would be getting irritated at the least. And to top it all off, think of the one's who were just trying to get to the next exit to fill up their gas tank & were hoping they didn't run out of gas before they even get there & of course the gas prices as they are rn, ppl just having to waste gas just to move 3 feet per hour. Yea, not everybody was so understanding like the news portrayed but that's the media's job...to lie or stretch the truth. LOL

I was traveling from Virginia to Jacksonville. Every state had a horrible accident, but oh my god this was horrific. Our 8 hour trip turned into a 16 hour trip. However, once I saw a semi with a fully crushed semi on the back of it, I knew that sitting in that traffic was nothing compared to what happened to those involved in the accident. I really want to know how it happened.

I've seen people with movies playing, porn, live chatting, on their phones while driving. It's crazy how people drive anymore from when I started driving.

Too many people speeding along highways everywhere especially here in Connecticut where you rarely see any troopers out enforcing speeding.
95 in GA is always loaded with troopers. I keep it within 5 miles of the limit on 95 in GA. This was just getting into GA. FL on the other hand you truly risk your life every time you get on 95 - people drive like maniacs.
EVERY Tractor trailer rig has at least one dashcam these days. Since there was no big fire those videos should be available,,,,
Unfortunately a lot of Florida Latino drivers don’t have 1 inside their cabs & take safety for granted. Latest report says that Tractor trailer drivers was suspected of diving under influence ! DOT must mandate in-cab dashCam on all Florida drivers. Particularly

Pray for the families of those killed and injured. None of us expects injury or death when we embark on our vacay. We live our lives one day at a time. Yesterday is gone. Today is the only day we have to be saved by the grace of God because we are not promised tomorrow.
Had to go to Jacksonville today left Savannah around 3:45 pm and passed two minor wrecks just outside of Savannah near pembroke and then got rerouted at exit 26 on 95 sb in Brunswick to Highway 17 to avoid that huge accident.
That section of I95 is a high speed area. Ppl routinely go 90 mph or more.
Unfortunately the way the highway system is set up with the I95 corridor, one major accident can cause extensive chaos throughout the region. The highway authorities need to consider if it’s possible to come up with a new parallel alternative road to 95
There is, it's called Route 17 & it was bumper to bumper jammed w/those who chose to get off I95 as use 17 as their detour. The news even stated that.
No money in that . America Gov sends money for highway s out the country.

I still think more can be done so that way no one has to sit for hours on end.... if there was a side road or a extra fence/guardrail that would let people off the highway it could be easier for everyone involved!

The semi truck drivers going in and out of that area are crazy - I was just driving that route and every time without fail there is a semi truck driving like it is a Subaru - I understand some of their methods but there is always one who is just going way to fast, cutting everyone off, and acting like there are no consequences.
I am not a trucker but I drive a lot and I know from experience that 9 out of ten times when a truck is involved in an accident it is because some 4 wheeler does something stupid. So many times trucks jackknifed to their peril to save smaller units. Truck drivers are the most trained and professional drivers on the highways. Other than equipment failure trucking accident is almost always caused by other drivers.
It's so sad, I travel to Jax and kingsland for work Monday thru Friday and some people really need to slow down and have patience ..

You know the Old Testament is a flat-Earth book, right? It claims that it's the word of God hundreds of times throughout. There were supposedly gates to Heaven at the "ends of the Earth" guarded by "great beasts". There were JAIL CELLS where stars would do "hard time" for not rising on time, lol. Stars actually had arms and legs. The Earth had a dome over it and the fastenings could be seen at the edges of the Earth. Thunder was God walking to and fro on the dome, so God had legs.
It's been PROVEN to be ALL LIES. The Earth doesn't have edges that you can sail over. Thunder isn't a man walking on a metal dome over a FLAT Earth. Your suggest is not logical nor feasible. How are is everyone going to eat? Where's all the money going to come from in order to lay down secondary turnpikes, highways, interstates etc. clear across this entire country as well as have enough room to do so? Like I said, it's not logical or feasible.

So weird it's a news report about a fatal crash and the majority of the video is about how bad the traffic jam was.
Here it is rare to have accidents on the highways because there are rules that everyone follows on how to travel on these roads. Each lane has a minimum speed limit and it is mandatory, if possible, to always drive in the right lane. The other lanes, center and left, are for overtaking only.

From the images, It looks like the semi in right lane must've blown a steer tire, or tried to avoid something slowing/stopping quickly it pulled hard left.. hit the pickup next to the semi pushing it against the guardrail & flipping over... the semi pushed thru the center barricade & rolled over & the white Honda drove into the sleeper as it was on the wrong side of the highway on it's side. Steer tires blowouts are pheonominally dangerous for tall or heavy vehicles... when they blow out. there's rarely anything that can be done to control it. RIP to those passed.
