- It started with a disagreement over fries at a fast food restaurant in Cobb County. It turned into a police chase and a customer being arrested. That customer was out on bond on murder charges, police said.

Let me play devils advocate here… what if he was truly innocent. Would you want your loved one to be held for possibly 3,4,5 years or any length of time for that matter until they could have their day in court and prove innocence? Accused murderers often post bail, such as Derek Michael Chauvin after he killed George Floyd. What you're missing here is that someone posted bail, which is usually pretty hefty for murder. What that means is that someone may have lost their house when they put up the house as collateral for the bail. Serves them right.

Our legal system is predicated on the belief that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Bail is to ensure that person will show back up to court and it is easy to mount your defense why you are free as opposed to being incarcerated.

I wasn't given bond for a failed drug test. I was in trouble for something that caused no one harm but myself. He's out after murdering and setting the body on fire. What is f'kin going on with this country? This is sickening.
