Happy to announce the following: I was a late stage positive HIV diagnosis case. June 6, 2023. Started Biktarvy on June 12th with 160000 copies of virus and a 220 CD4. Stayed true to the meds and didn't miss s day. . On July 19, 2923, I have only 100 copies of virus and my CD4 is bouncing back. I'm at 321 now. So much progress in just a month.
I was just prescribed Biktarvy today, took my first pill at 12:30, the doctor says within the next 2-3 weeks I should become undetectable!! I'm SOOO happy about that!!
Rae K only using the bathroom like 2 days into taking it I was like on the toilet all day, tmi but that's it it's almost been 2 weeks now and I feel great!
Raif Derrazi thanks I am happy about it to, even thou I found out my CD-4 levels were at a 67 the doctor prescribed antibiotics to keep me from getting infections, I feel great and can't wait to see them jump back up
Rae Rae with Genvoya I was undetectable. Each time I change the medication I get a little bit nervous . Now I see the side effects ( woke up and I was sweating ,I am getting angry fast, at work I see that I get sleepy 😓uffff I hope that this new Biktarvy is better then the previous . I like the biktarvy pills that are smaller
@@shinyadino1926 no really who are you? where are you from? What lands are you in relationship with and where do you wake up in the morning and what do you see? What do you see when you turn that gaze inward? Love is created not found, & I love you too. Get well soon shiny dino.
Hi Raif! I am a medical student from Slovakia and often use your videos as a source of new information. Love them, keep up the good work. Thank you for sharing and educating the world. :)
Hey my friend! Thank you for sharing...stoked that you're able to get some info from me. I realize that a lot of people are in the same position as you so I do my BEST to keep the info as accurate as I can!
I just started Biktarvy yesterday. I was diagnosed last week and am very thankful for people like you putting these videos out there. You guys are the reason I went and got tested in the first place! I love seeing you being able to live your life, and you’re so handsome! It gives me hope for the future. Thank you for your video! 💗
Sher Ali Hey! One morning I woke up and I just felt off. I was feeling some muscle aches which were very unusual for me. It’s like I could feel it in my body and I knew something was wrong. I also knew that I had been having unprotected sex with a couple of different guys over the course of a few months. There isn’t always symptoms. Some people go years without feeling anything. Some people get flu-like symptoms. If you are even slightly questioning it. PLEASE, go get tested. It is not a death sentence. I was very scared at first but, I have been reassured that I can live a perfectly normal, healthy life. Don’t let the stigma scare you, we will be here for you as a community. 💗
Sher Ali no problem! So if your test is reactive, they will test you again to make sure. After that, you will be getting “ labs “ done. Which is bloodwork. They will take blood from you and determine how much of the virus is in your body. After that, they will set you up on a medication that they think will work best for you.
I’ve recently been diagnosed with hiv. I was diagnosed on Tuesday, and the following Tuesday, 7 days later, Biktarvy was home delivered to me through a program here in my state- OK., by a nurse who re-did all my bloodwork a second time. No cost to me. My cd4 was 84, and my VL was 300,7600. That was 4 weeks ago... My first visit with my IDD was this past Tuesday and my recent bloodwork came back today and my cd4 is over 300, and my VL is already at undetectable. I had absolutely ZERO, no symptoms whatsoever... it was only by accident that we found out my status. Feeling grateful!!
This channel needs advertisement. A lot of people would be educated about this topic. I am surprised how you are taking the steps to do extra research about your medicine
I'm glad you feel that way buddy. I feel that way too! My hope is that if I create enough valuable content for enough people, that it would naturally get more reach with time. 🙏
HIV causing AIDS has always been a scam. Professor Peter Duesberg who has worked with retroviruses for decades. He wrote the book "Inventing the AIDS virus" as AIDS aka IDS was caused by drug use, malnutrition, poor sanitation as some of the factors. Those that are taking antivirals are poisoning themselves slowly and making these pharmaceutical companies wealthy.
i was recently exposed to hiv, my test came back negative but i had no idea how important it is to be tested once a year at least. i know since I was exposed, I will still have to be getting tested for a year but it’s crazy that there’s not more talk about this topic. thank you for this channel and talking openly about your experience.
Thanks for this video. I am currently on Genvoya, but my doctor wanted to switch me to Biktarvy. I was hesitant until seeing this comparison. Well done. I took my first pill just now.
I just want to add that you can take Biktarvy with or without food versus Genvoya, it must be taken with food to avoid stomach problems. Great video and good information. Thank you.
Hey Raif! Thanks so much for the heads up about Biktarvy. I was tired of my regimen which included one truvada and two massive etravirine pills ( which I diddnt realise you could dissolve) which were a bummer to take. Biktarvy is now available here in the UK for free through the NHS, but you do have to fit a certain criteria to qualify . It’s certainly made taking meds a lot less daunting, so thanks again for your brave and brilliant coverage of HIV!
Although I’m negative, I found this to be very interesting. I have about a dozen friends who are positive, so learning about HIV and HIV medications is important to me. Now that I’ve watched it, I have the knowledge to actually join in on their conversations...and who knows, maybe they’re not on Biktarvy and maybe I can get them to try it out and they can reap the benefit(s). PS - HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!!! 😁😁🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🤙🏽🤙🏽 PPS - still thinking of ideas for your milestone. 🤙🏽
Sean! This is very cool to hear. So stoked on that! You're a great friend to have in that you even care to be a part of the dialogue. Much respect for ya brother and Happy Pride Month!
Raif Derrazi Thanks Raif. In all honesty, I try to do this with ALL my friends. I’ve never been a fan of classical music...but my good friend was getting his PhD in music and had his senior recital (violin). He gave out a bunch of tickets to our friends...so before I went, I studied up on violins, how much they cost, diff types, etc. It was only 1 night of cramming. Well I called a bunch of our friends to see if we could carpool...but many were going and their reasoning was almost always, “I don’t like classical music” and “I don’t like violin music”. That baffled me ‘cause it wasn’t about us. Or like futbol (aka soccer)...my (straight) friend invited me over to watch the World Cup. It was clearly very important to him since it’s only once every 4 years...and he was inviting me into his home, so I did a night’s worth of research on how the game’s played and how the scoring works. He was really surprised that I knew what was going on and that we could actually talk about the game...so those 4-5 hours that I studied about futbol was TOTALLY WORTH IT when I saw how happy my friend was that we could enjoy the game together. Sorry it’s so long...and I don’t tell you this to brag...I write it out so that hopefully someone reads it and thinks about how them putting their wants aside could mean everything to their friend(s). I really do enjoy all of your videos and I wanted to thank you for educating me and making my friends and I closer ‘cause that’s because of your didactic videos! 😁
HIV causing AIDS had been one of the biggest scams, stop doing drugs and doing poppers and you won't get AIDS. Also those antivirals are toxic and make you sick in the long term, just look at all those side effects.
Hello ! I m from nepal . I have been taking medication from last two months.. I don't know why but i hate taking medicine and don't want stay here in Nepal
I was diagnosed in March 2020 and was put on Biktarvy right away. My initial Viral Load was 83,845 and CD4 was 9. After 30 days of Biktarvy my VL was 48 and CD4 was 94. Apart from the night sweats, the only issue I have is this chest pain that I’ve having. I first thought that it was because of the antibiotics that I was also taking but after I switched to a different antibiotics the chest pain is still persisting but not as bad as it used to be. I’m also afraid that it’s affecting my liver because my AST and ALT levels spiked in 30 days (one doubled and the other tripled). I just did some other tests for my liver and I’m currently awaiting the results.
Hi. Thanks for sharing. I was wondering what symptoms were you experiencing prior of getting tested? What side effects are you experiencing? Thanks for sharing.
Shahrzad A Hey! Sorry for the late response. I didn’t have many symptoms to be honest. I just lost a lot of weight prior to my diagnosis. At the time I thought that I was losing weight because I wasn’t exercising which is what usually happens to me (weird, I know). But other than the weight loss I also had extreme itching all over my body especially on my legs. That’s what pushed me to go and get checked up. I was infected 2.5 years before my diagnosis. Maybe that’s why I didn’t have serious symptoms.
Thanks a lot for sharing. How do you like Biktarvy so far? Do you mind sharing about the side effects and the impacts on your blood work? Thanks a lot for being helpful.
Shahrzad A The side effects started off with diarrhea but thank God it was only the first day, then night sweats for like a week or two, and a stabbing chest pain (very uncomfortable but bearable) that lasted for 8-9 weeks. My liver enzymes also were elevated the first 30 days but they’re back to normal now. As of now there’s no side effects and I hope it stays that way. The results of my blood work were way better than expected. I was undetectable 30 days after I started treatment and after two months my CD4 went from 9 to 369. Overall I do like Biktarvy. It’s easy to swallow and they say it’s the best thing out there.
having a hard time lately. I was diagnosed in January, which kickstarted a MAJOR (and much needed) change in my life, and I'm grateful to be exactly where I am. With that said, I was under the impression that HIV was NBD nowadays... a pill a day, you're just magically undetectable... bad things only happen to the untreated/aids patients. well, here I am 10 months into treatment, still not quite undetectable, anemic, asthmatic, kidneys and liver not happy, and seriously affected by any other illnesses... this sucks. it's not what I thought.
HIV causing AIDS had been one of the biggest scams, stop doing drugs and doing poppers and you won't get AIDS. Also those antivirals are toxic and make you sick in the long term, just look at all those side effects. Those antivirals are going to kill you Professor Peter Deusberg wrote the book Inventing the AIDS virus. He was a virologest for decades and lays out the true cause of AIDS.
thank you for share your experience, its my first month on medication, I got scare with my diagnostic, now I starting with Biktarvy, I hope everything gonna be ok. Love ur video, im from Mexico
Hello my brother! You and your videos are an inspiration! I was on Odefsey, making me undetectable for the entire treatment. My doctor switched me to Bitkarvny and yesterday when I got my panel back I was shocked. I have a 268 viral load! I told her I remembered from one of your videos to space out your calcium magnesium zinc with the med. I was not doing that. I was taking Bitkarvny about the same time I took the ZMA (just before bedtime). I since then read that calcium magnesium can reduce the drug effectiveness by up to 48%! I am now taking Bitkarvny late morning on an empty stomach, and my ZMA at least 12 hours later. I'm to return in one month for a recheck. My doctor had not heard of this problem. Maybe time to switch docs...
Hey brother! Thank u so much for sharing your experience with that! Please keep me updated on your follow-up lab work! And yea...so many doctors are just not as well educated on the topic as they could be. My doctor is a HIV specialist...so that HELPS
Hi. Could you please share what medication are you taking for hiv? What are the side effects? Any impacts on your blood work ( glucose, liver and kidney)? I really appreciate if you could please share your experience.
Charles Holland Biktarvy along with a few others are made by Gilead. They have a payment assistance program that they provide to help with patients using their medicine. I’m insured through my employer, but my co-pay still comes out to be about $600+. But with the Gilead advance access co-pay program, they give me an allowance of up to $7200 per year which pretty much pays most of my prescriptions for the entire year. And I believe if you are not insured, they have a separate program to help reduce your costs as well. Might want to check that out. Look up Gilead Advance Access - I hope this helps.
i’m on my first week. no issues that i know of. possibly a tiny bit of dizziness. also i was lucky enough to get treatment quick. i contracted HiV in June. Confirmed September.
Hi. If you don't mind, I was wondering about your viral load and CD 4 when you were diagnosed? Which medication are you taking and what are the side effects? Any changes on your blood work ( glucose, liver, kidney, etc)? I appreciate your help.
I unfortunately experience side effects after I've been on the medication, starting about 3-4 weeks in. I like Biktarvy at first, but, then I notice they amp me up, and I have a hard time sleeping. It causes me to show body wasting. Also, I get sciatic pain. Once I come off, it goes away. I would prefer to stay on Biktarvy, but, I always end up having these weird side affects.
Hi. If you don't mind, what symptoms were you experiencing prior of getting tested? Which medication are you taking and what are some of the side effects? I really appreciate your help.
@@shahrzada7180 hey I had developed flu like symptoms severe wait lose lose migraines akin rash ....basically my body had become unstable it felt ... I am currently on genvoya and back to normal
Hi. Thanks for sharing. I'm trying to figure out which med has the least side effects. I'm glad this med is working for you. I was wondering if you feel comfortable what was your initial viral loads and CD 4 and how long it took to improve? Also, does this med has any impact on your daily activities, work, travel and energy level? I really appreciate your help and your support. It's not easy to find people who are going through the same experience.
I’ve been using Atripla for 13 years and I’m getting ready to switch to Biktarvy. My specialist is at UCLA, and insists Biktarvy is cutting edge. I’m a little skeptical because Atripla has always worked for me. I’m worried if I switch and the Biktarvy doesn’t work as expected, I’ll no longer be undetectable. I’ll be anxious to hear about your labs to know if it’s effective for you. Thanks for the video :-)
Hey, thanks for sharing my friend. I'll definitely get back to you on the results of my lab work in July! I say, don't stress it too much and give Biktarvy a try. You can always go back to Atripla if need be...but Biktarvy is overall a way better drug.
Actually Atripla is effective but contains a very toxic component : EFAVIRENZ which damages brain and nerves on the long run. I wonder why Gealead still make profit of it.
Message important, Never. I’ve not had a side effect even once from Atripla in 13 years. I’m just a little worried that if I switch, Biktarvy may not bring me to undetectable.
thank you ! for posting this ... I been on atripla for a long time and it causes kidney and bone loss so for a fact . this vid has made me want to take biktary which I been hesitant because of my past when I first started meds and also because. I am doing great also. thank you! again Raif
Hey bud, Thanks for sharing! So glad to hear you're doing great. Yea man, I was on Atripla for a while and it fucked my shit UP. the bone loss lead to a broken ankle as well 😭
I’m sorry to hear that because years ago the doctors where not so advanced as it is nowadays and that was in 2003 they didn’t put me in meds till they said I was dying which was very scary due to my ex- who could not be honest
im taking my last 20 days of the genvoya and gonna be starting biktarvy next batch of pills they just arrived and just waiting to start them been undetectable for 2 years now
Hi. Thanks for sharing. Do you mind sharing what symptoms were you experiencing prior to getting tested? What are the side effects of your medication and how that has impacted your blood work (liver, kidney, cholesterol)? I really appreciate your help.
Hi. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad to hear that the medication is working well for you. If you don't mind sharing I was wondering what was your initial viral loads and CD 4 and how long it took for this medication to work? I really appreciate your help.
I just got prescribed Biktarvy, I don’t have to pay for it either not a cent. It’s free in the state of Western Australia, I’m so greatful for universal heath! The one side effect I’ve noticed is insanely weird and vivid dreams
Hi. Do you mind sharing any side effects of taking medication? Or the impacts on your blood work ( liver, kidney, cholesterol)? Thanks for being helpful
Jivago Campos no side effects so far, it is free in Australia in most states with the others capped at $8.00 for the unemployed and $44 for the employed. Medications here don’t have the same legal protection as America too so soon it will also be available in Australia generically
Thanks for the info. I have been using Genvoya for 2 years. No healthy problems at all. But I like to try the new one. I dont if it is available in Lebanon. I might ask my doctor. Thanks again Raif.
I’m on biktarvy and I had some side effects but now thinking about it It seems like it was the iris that you mentioned. I seem to be okay now and have not noticed any huge side effects other than sometimes I Will get bloated and gasey after I eat.
Hey man, glad the info about IRIS may have shed some light on your experience! And Im glad you're doing ok on it now...hey, if you only get gas and bloat as a side effect once in a while, that's awesome....i ALWAYS get bloated and gassy smh lol No matter what I eat or how I change my diet...gas and bloat is a part of my life since i was a kid
Hi. Thanks for sharing. I was wondering what symptoms did you have prior of getting tested? What are some of the side effects and the impacts of the medication on your blood work? ( liver, kidney and cholesterol). I really appreciate your help.
I’ve been taking biktarvy for about 5 months I’ve noticed weight I am really not happy about that I was weighing 150 before and now I weigh 177 I have a gut my clothes don’t fit I am depressed should I switch or is this all my head
My doc just suggested Biktarvy at my follow-up appointment this morning. Switching over from Genvoya after about four years on it (Atripla prior to that). Atripla royally screwed with my cholesterol! After switching to Genvoya those numbers were greatly reduced. I’m happy to be switching to something much cleaner. This video is extremely helpful! Thanks for the info!
I started 5 days ago with Biktarvy... everything was really ok, until yesterday I started to feel something in my stomach, like "full"... a ittle bit dizzy like some kind of anxiety... Im a little scared. I dont want to quit my treatment.
@@joeyconvery2055 when I first started taking it yes. But I also gave birth to my son while taking it. I'm not one to workout but I'm sure if u where a gym everyday kinda person I'm sure the weight u gain will disappear. After of taking it for so long I really want to try new advanced medicine but in fear that it could possibly end my life or mess with my undetectable levels. I only say that because I'm a mother now. But urs thoughts real quick? Do u think they will have a cure in your lifetime? cause I do 110%
I got prescribed Biktarvy as well, there’re not really much information on articles or in general about the usage of Biktarvy for PEP. I guess infectologist really know that it works! How was your treatment btw?
Thanks for this review., I just switched from Genvoya to Biktarvy also and was worried because I had absolutely no problems with Genvoya.. hopefully no side effects in the coming months ..Thanks again
I change genvoya to victarby and I feel like the meds for me has to many side effects can’t sleep dizziness thag not going away wiht genvoya I dint have all this side effects
Although I was tested negative, I have a lot of friends who are HIV positive and my best friend who just found out about a couple weeks ago just got prescribed Biktarvy and she's freaking out about taking her first pill!!! Watching this video definitely will educate her on this medication!! You're very brave 👏 I told her everything will be ok, if you dont mind me asking what supplements do you recommend to take aswell before taking Biktarvy!!! Thank you sooo much for sharing this to the world and for those living with HIV you all will be fine and live a long/healthy life !!! 🌈 🥰🥰💗💗💟💟💖
I've had HIV since I was 22. Now 38. I think I started on Truvada then Stribuild then Genvoya now Biktarvy for the last month and a half. Cd4 has stayed between 400 and 500 over the years and undetectable (just wish my cd4 count would go higher) but since I'm on other meds the Dr figured Biktarvvy would be better because Genvoya could affect some of the affects of the other drugs causing possible heart issues. Haven't really had any side affects that stand out accept noticed numbness in one of my hands but I do have neuropathy so that could be the cause.
I've switched onto Biktarvy Feb this year and same, no side effects, quite happy. :3 I'm curious tho have you noticed changes/trends on you cd4 count and cd4/cd8 ratio over 1 year or 5 years and does traininh hard affect them? For instance within 9 months my cd4 went from 962 to 1600 and cd4/cd8 fron 0.5 to 1.2 Yet I had somewhat severe IRIS :/
Yea Zachary...my CD4 fluctuates all the time. It was only ever has high as the 800's but sometimes it drops down to the 400's. I think I just naturally have a weaker immune system regardless of the HIV. I've always been that way.
I just swapped from Genvoya to biktarvy.. I preferred genvoya.. I don’t like this one it feels not strong. I want to go back on Intellence. That was the best ARV I’ve been on, that with truvada and it was amazing
Hope it's better ... genvoya its way better than Stribild...Stribild had the fumerate and was so big too made me have Alot of sudeeffects .. I like biktarvy is way smaller and doesn't have the fumerate ingredient..I just asked my doctor if I can switch
I, fortunately, have not have any side effects with any of the ARVs... I was on Stribild, Genvoya and now Biktarvy! I do get a bit nervous when switching meds but so far I have been very luck!
What happens when a person doesn’t qualify for Guilead coupon because of an high income (which gets drown in taxes) and other USA life expenses such as: Mortgage, kids, kids schools, car, food , family clothes, student loans , etc ? How can a person like that pay this type of meds which monthly cost a little bit more than $3,000?
I been taking Biktarvy for few years more on then off I realized this year taking it which I felt them before but I would dismiss them was the side effects which was very bad. pain in my lower back, back of my knee, and ankle pain all day everyday took me right out my gym workouts. My blood pressure was elevated mild nausea, which I was ignoring until I started paying attention and kidney function abnormalities. I 'm getting off that it.
Hello thx for the video , I started on biktarvy a week ago from a 5 pill regimen of prezista Norvir and truvada and I was always great with those and undetectable but they are older and I wanted one pill for convienence, also the original truvada I wasn’t comfortable taking , but I’m feeling really weird side effects like agitated dizzy and at night I’m having dreams that are weird and overall I feel sick or poisoned feeling , is this the immune thing and should I give it the rest of week to see if they reside ? Idk if it cools be my Xanax but I don’t see anything about taking Xanax with it as being bad
just started Biktarvy I still want to take milk thistle to help reinforce my kidney and liver health. ill need to talk to my Doctor to make sure it doesn't interfere with the medication
It’s also once a day. I have been on it for almost two years and no side effects. Emtricitabine, rilpivirine, and tenofovir alafenamide. Taken with food. I started with Atripla and let me just say that pill is huge and awful side effects. Then I switched to Complera for over a year. Now on Odefsey.
Oh totally...I'm gonna do a review of Atripla...it was HORRIBLE for me too smh. I have heard of Odefsey...I'm glad it's working out so well for you mate!
Thanks so much for the info I'm here in Mexico and there's not that many places I could go to look for info about this medication... I'm currently tanking this pills I just hope everything turns out just fine... greetings
Hi. Could you please make a video about the impact of the medication on your daily activities, work, social life, energy level, travel, sports, etc. I really appreciate your help.
You make me more possessive about the medication, but..... I find I am HIV positive just 2 weeks ago and today I get Biktarvy medication, I am very happy and other side I am so afraid. When I see you, you look like very healthy person, do you have any diets, do you have any energy left to do some sport? I am not sure what time is the best time to take the medication and keep taking same time. Do you think, befor go sleep it could be good??? Sorry for so many questions, but I am very lost right now.
I used to take medication before I went to bed so that if there were immediate side effects I would hopefully deal with that while asleep. I have energy for sport. I am a competitive bodybuilder 😉
Hi. I was wondering what symptoms were you experiencing before getting tested? What are the side effects of this med? Does it cause any tiredness and fatigue? I really appreciate your help
I was told on gemvoya . You can't have raw meat like sushi , sashimi , only raw fruits and veggies.. but now I'm on bictarvy and I'm wondering if it's the same. I miss sushi =(
I've relatively new to the HIV situation ; I'm looking at Biktarvy it's a one dose smaller pill. The last pill that I was syntuza. It was a horse pill and always made me nausea and I had liver issues from time to time. I'm thinking about mentioning it to my doctor next week
Hey there. First of all thank you for such information. I saw your biceps, do you use any steroids ? I want to take something to get more fit,but afraid it will have negative effect on bektarv. Thank you
You're welcome; I'm glad the info was useful to ya. I do NOT take any kind of steroids or other Performance Enhancing Drugs. It will have the same negative effects that it has on negative people...and there may be more complications with HIV/ARV's that I am not aware of.
I'm about to start my HIV medication Biktarvy for the first time today. I have an alcohol issue and wanted to know if that's going to greatly impact the medicine since the kidney and liver thing

Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences with me. I'm so glad that you are responding very well to Biktarvy. I've heard it's a phenomenal and very promising medication. I'm trying to figure out what are the options out there. Have you noticed any tiredness or fatigue taking this medication? Thanks a lot for being so helpful.
Started biktarvy about two and half weeks ago...I've slowly had crazy dreams during sleep that have led to me feeling tired and even sad/depressed mood during the day. Today I'm even feeling a little nauseous and even a bit constipated. I'm not sure if these effects will go away in a few months or if they're normal and nothing to worry about.
Wow. You are so, so beautiful... Yeah, I’ve been on Biktarvy since I was diagnosed HIV+ in November 2019. My 6 month checkup is on hold, but it seems to be working fine! Some numbness in my legs in the mornings, but not sure if that’s due to the meds or just an allergic reaction to having to get out of bed...

So do you need to take the meds at the exact same time everyday or can the time fluctuate. Like if you usually take it at 10pm can you take it at 8pm, or like 12am?
I definitely DONT take my medication at the same time every day...i really don't stress it AT ALL. for someone who is NOT undetectable...i think it's more important to take it at the same time...but i've been undetectable for years and it's not an issue/concern for me
@@RaifDerrazi so when undetectable it's not such a big deal to take it at the exact same time. I tried looking for the answer on Google but I couldn't find it.
I was agonizing over this when first started taking my meds... My ID doctor urged me not to worry but to always take it with food. If dinner is at 5 O'clock, take it at 5 O'clock... If dinner is at 10:30 take it at 10:30! And I have been doing this pretty much from the get go... However, Biktarvy changed it all as I no longer have to be dependent of a meal!
I was looking for reviews because I just switched from atripila to biktarvy, the only thing I'd say is at first I couldn't sleep , but now I'm so fatigued , hope this goes away because I gotta work 16 hrs shifts, best wishes for all ❤️❤️❤️
Happy to announce the following:
I was a late stage positive HIV diagnosis case.
Amazing! Congrats my friend 🙌🏽
I was just prescribed Biktarvy today, took my first pill at 12:30, the doctor says within the next 2-3 weeks I should become undetectable!! I'm SOOO happy about that!!
Did you have any side effects
Rae K only using the bathroom like 2 days into taking it I was like on the toilet all day, tmi but that's it it's almost been 2 weeks now and I feel great!
Haha, it may seem TMI but it's good to share that stuff too! And thank u for doing it; stoked you're taking to Biktarvy so well!
I could cry … thank you … thank you … I felt very much alone and todays day one of any pill … I’ve been given biktarvy
Hugs to you ❤️
I love you.

Aw, so happy to hear that Dustin! I hope Biktarvy works well for you...it's been great for me. Wishing you all the best!
Hey just a question, what symptoms were you having that prompted you to get tested?
@@dustinlongo5995 great thank you so much for reply! So is it like if my first test comes reactive what other test would I be undergoing?
Feeling grateful!!
how you doing now?
Gee, this is good. I started Biktarvy today. I hope and pray I am okay like this.

@@RaifDerrazi You really have helped me get thru the HAART change. I have been living with HIV since 1998. Keep in touch with me in the future?
Although I’m negative, I found this to be very interesting. I have about a dozen friends who are positive, so learning about HIV and HIV medications is important to me. Now that I’ve watched it, I have the knowledge to actually join in on their conversations...and who knows, maybe they’re not on Biktarvy and maybe I can get them to try it out and they can reap the benefit(s).
PS - HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!!! 😁😁🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🤙🏽🤙🏽
PPS - still thinking of ideas for your milestone. 🤙🏽

Shahrzad A
Hey!
Shahrzad A
The side effects started off with diarrhea but thank God it was only the first day, then night sweats for like a week or two, and a stabbing chest pain (very uncomfortable but bearable) that lasted for 8-9 weeks.
That's great that your CD 4 has recovered so quickly. It might reach 500 in no time. I'm very happy for you.
having a hard time lately.

Does it work for HIV 2 as well
I've had HIV since I was 22.

For instance within 9 months my cd4 went from 962 to 1600 and cd4/cd8 fron 0.5 to 1.2
Yet I had somewhat severe IRIS :/
Yea Zachary...my CD4 fluctuates all the time. It was only ever has high as the 800's but sometimes it drops down to the 400's. I think I just naturally have a weaker immune system regardless of the HIV. I've always been that way.
Hi. Your CD 4 is awesome. Do you mind sharing what your original CD 4 was and how long it took to raise so high? I appreciate your help.
what was the IRIS like?

Did you switch? How has it been so far?
Lookin’ good raif! So happy you are in a really good ... point in your life. :)
Thank you so much. Yes, I'm in a really GREAT place in life now 🙏
What happens when a person doesn’t qualify for Guilead coupon because of an high income (which gets drown in taxes) and other USA life expenses such as: Mortgage, kids, kids schools, car, food , family clothes, student loans , etc ? How can a person like that pay this type of meds which monthly cost a little bit more than $3,000?
Hopefully if you are in a higher income bracket that means that you have health insurance. Health insurance will cover your meds
Hi Raif! Have you tested your kidney function(eGFR) after taking Biktarvy? This will give a quantitative measurement of kidney function.

Which medication you've gone through with personal experience had been the best in both no side effects and diagnosis results?
I would say Genvoya and Biktarvy have been great
Are you still taking it or did you switch to Dovato or injections?

Have you heard of Odefsey?
I'm currently tanking this pills I just hope everything turns out just fine... greetings
Hi. Thanks for sharing. I was wondering what side effects have you experienced taking this medication? I appreciate your help.

Any weight loss or weight gain with Biktarvy??

Hello Raif. Which one medicin pills use You today? Odefsey or Biktarvy or someting other one pill? Thank you Raif.
Greetings
I was told on gemvoya . You can't have raw meat like sushi , sashimi , only raw fruits and veggies.. but now I'm on bictarvy and I'm wondering if it's the same. I miss sushi =(
I've relatively new to the HIV situation ; I'm looking at Biktarvy it's a one dose smaller pill. The last pill that I was syntuza. It was a horse pill and always made me nausea and I had liver issues from time to time. I'm thinking about mentioning it to my doctor next week

Thank u SOOO much 4 this information 🌟
Plz Limit Ur Alcohol Intake, Even If ONLY 4 U! Most Medications, Including Aspirin, Affect Ur Liver, Kidneys, Etc...Be GOOD 2 U 1st & Foremost...I'm NOT Say'n U Have 2 Stop Completely, But If U Know U Have Issues W/Alcohol, Etc...Get The Support U Need: Fr-amily, Groups, Docs, Etc...Don't NOT Ask 4 Help If U Need It?! The only problem with biktarvy is sexual activity over exhaustion drains me out and causes depression and dehydration.
Bro are you still using biktorvy? Your answer will really help lot of people.
Yes I am
Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences with me. I'm so glad that you are responding very well to Biktarvy. I've heard it's a phenomenal and very promising medication. I'm trying to figure out what are the options out there. Have you noticed any tiredness or fatigue taking this medication? Thanks a lot for being so helpful.

Are insomnia and headache common when taking Genvoya?
I am allergic to it and have to take a calcium detox 😢
Unfortunately, genvoya causes me a strong increase in triglyceride levels, knowing that I have been using it for 4 years
Does anyone have issues with high triglycerides
My triglycerides will occasionally be elevated but i'm also not fasting before my lab tests so not sure if that's having an effect
From the comments I've read those side effects should pass. There's other great pills out there if Biktarvy isn't for you.
@@bladebrown4341 yep...they've seem to have gone now lol. In fact, I actually make it through the day without napping. Interesting

How has it been?
@@Tyrells1997 - Very well!!

What can one use to gain weight in terms of supplements?
So do you need to take the meds at the exact same time everyday or can the time fluctuate. Like if you usually take it at 10pm can you take it at 8pm, or like 12am?
I definitely DONT take my medication at the same time every day...i really don't stress it AT ALL. for someone who is NOT undetectable...i think it's more important to take it at the same time...but i've been undetectable for years and it's not an issue/concern for me
@@RaifDerrazi so when undetectable it's not such a big deal to take it at the exact same time. I tried looking for the answer on Google but I couldn't find it.
@@RaifDerrazi also what is your varied times? Like what time do you usually take it and how far do you deter from that time?
I was agonizing over this when first started taking my meds... My ID doctor urged me not to worry but to always take it with food. If dinner is at 5 O'clock, take it at 5 O'clock... If dinner is at 10:30 take it at 10:30! And I have been doing this pretty much from the get go... However, Biktarvy changed it all as I no longer have to be dependent of a meal!
Anyone on here that got peripheral neuropathy with Genvoya? It affects 5% of folks and I think it may be part of that 5%
I was looking for reviews because I just switched from atripila to biktarvy, the only thing I'd say is at first I couldn't sleep , but now I'm so fatigued , hope this goes away because I gotta work 16 hrs shifts, best wishes for all ❤️❤️❤️
