I had a 1997 4runner I put 315,000 miles on. Never any major issues only maintenance. I gave it to my friend for free. I was like man I got my money's worth out of it and he needed a car bad he also had a newborn so it wasn't a thing to give him the truck. Just bought a 2003 v8 blavk with 90k miles...in perfect shape for 5 grand. It's an older model but Idgaf i will never have a different daily driver than a 4runner for the rest of my life. Best trucks hands down

I just bought an 06 4Runner Sport Edition with only 62,700 miles on it. I'm going to replace the Xreas with the Bilstein 1500's. I don't like the feel of the reas but I LOVE the look of the truck, dark gray with black interior., and that scoop, though not functional, looks so good.
I'd like those lights, but they may be too bright. Seems like they would totally annoy other drivers.

Hey nice video man, I was also thinking as well to get the Bilstein 5100s on my 05 4runner sport v8. So is it okay to leave the rear completely stock and just put the Bilsteins on the fronts with a 2" inch lift? And if you have any recommendations on what to get for the rear, that'd be great!
Do you have a link to the Bilstein 5100s all I can find online is full kits. And did you do any lift in the rear or just the front to get rid of factory rake.
I have a silver 2008 with a 3in lift. Personally I like the running boards for the black accent
2006 Frunner SR5 Morimoto HID lows with yellow SNGL LEDs for the fogs. Nothing better.
Looks like Auxbeam now makes those LED bulbs under the Beamtech brand because I just got those identical headlights from Amazon.

I wish I could be more help buddy. All I can tell you is that they were billstein 5100 adjustable shocks. They're pretty widely available, so finding them shouldn't be an issue!

holy crap buddy, your 6'7" and you drive a 4runner? I'm 6' and find the leg room is kind of lacking. That's coming from owning a 2010 maxima mind you but still, that's crazy!

Thanks! I actually sold the 4Runner a few months ago. But before I did, I swapped the headlights out for Diode Dynamics SL1s, which I liked quite a bit more.

@@beltwaybandits406 Great question! Not at all, it ran flawlessly. I took a new day job, and was burning fuel commuting 60+ miles a day. So I sold it (for exactly what I paid 2+ years prior 😅)
How do you fit in there? I’m 6’1” and I feel cramped in my ‘08 4Runner
Bryce Moore I’m an inch taller than you and I fit fine. Unless you are 300lbs shouldn’t be an issue fitting in a 4th gen
Yeah when I lifted my jeep I did it in my garage and it took 7 hours and me getting hit in the head with a pry bar that slipped. It sucked but totally worth it.

Big Jake right. Like it's scary. And we had the right tools and it took us 2 and a half hours to get a bolt back into place Lol. I haven't seen it in person yet but I bet it looks great. What else are you going yo do to it? Unless you can't say then I understand lol
Haha I believe it. I actually haven't figured out what all I'm going to end up doing to it. I'll probably keep modifying it as along as I own it. Next, I'm thinking of some big audio upgrades. I'm a huge music fan and am thinking about installing a window-cracking system lol

How's the MPG on the V8 compared to the 4.0L V6?
I average 17.3 (indicated) and I've got a pretty heavy foot. Glad I have a bike that gets 40mpg 🤣

How’s your 4Runner holding up? What’s it like to daily drive?
I actually sold it a few months ago, but it was great! Dead reliable, perfect daily. The only drawback was averaging 14.5 mpg lol

What happened?
@@dustywizard1104 the early 4th gen V6s are prone to head gasket failure. I believe 05+ fixed the issue
