Another good way to approach the problem is to give yourself a time limit. When you get home from work say to yourself "Okay, I don't have to clean the whole house right now but I do have to spend at least 15 minutes cleaning things up before I collapse on the couch." When the 15 minute timer goes off you might even feel like doing more cleaning but if you don't at least you'll feel much better while you relax.

:go to sleep earlier: I go to sleep as early as possible, thing is, it's not that easy to FALL ASLEEP, it's not as if you're in a cartoon that you go in bed and suddenly you're asleep. smh

This is a poor experiment and the conclusion may be something completely different from what is stated here. But if it helps people get off their addictions, vices, bad habits, butts, etc... then it has accomplished its goal.
I love yall, but this example is stupid. Whos going to periodically wash dishes over a week? Whos going to get their hands wet and gross, only wash 5 dishes, and then do it again the next day???
Yeah the actual example is quite ridiculous and unrealistic but the point still stands and can be applied to lots of other, more understandable things. I guess you can't always create the best metaphor, example or "what-if" scenario heh.
