The thief in question was subsequently arrested in London.
On the day that it was confirmed that he had been arrested, I replied to a comment on a RUclips video; the comment in question was about what had happened to the various Friends characters. I replied saying "Ross got arrested in Britain for stealing beer..."
But it turns out that it wasn't the *beer* he stole.
The lookalike thief is actually an Iranian national with quite an extensive criminal record in the United Kingdom. The crime in question was that he had purchased the beer using a stolen credit card. He has since been convicted, and was subsequently jailed for it.
