i feel like someone with a snappy quick brain or something would do the action itself ,like quickly moving backwards so he would repeat the same thing and save him
@dasfx Anything Spike Jonze does is high production...that's what makes Spike Jonze so amazing not to mention his ability to compile a well written story both visually and mentally. A true artist.
I haven't seen this in over a decade but I was just watching the vid for Solomun - Kackvogel, and it brought my mind straight back here!!! Did we ever find out if he name of the track at the end?! Hahahaha
@happyfuntimestation The song is called Sentimental Journey and has been performed by (among others) Frank Sinatra, Dorris Day, Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Charles. Hope that helps.
@joshyxpoo I would like to know too the music during it is "Sentimental Journey" by Esquivel and his Orchestra but the music at the end I wanna know too
I'm quite certain it's only that last one. It's quite obvious how the other two get there. Shoes on the other hand aren't typically people just throw away on the street though.
@Phahbyo i know man he is the perfect character for this...so different from what everyone else considers normal, i guess its just how they get there..lol
How they get there, can only be the answer to the question:How do they get there?when someone sees only one,of a pair of shoes,in the road.I now do not ask,as I know the answer.
For some people it seems to be absolutely normal to 'loose' their trash whereever they are. This I dislike in the film, if it wasn't inside it could be shown to kids to teach them a lesson.
I saw the flaming lips listed in the credits, I'd search through their discography. Even if you don't find the song, the flaming lips are cool, so you will find something to your liking I'm sure.
thanks! I saw them listed as well... I'm a _little_ familiar w/ the band (soft bulletin and like pink robots), but idk if I'll find this song out of their *entire* discography >_
+Phillippe Ferreira The name of the video is How they get there. There was a key zoom on two independent stranded shoes. You saw how the second shoe got there. which means you can infer how the first one got there
i can't believe i have to write a three page paper of a theme on this..
the fact that this was ten years ago and I am just having to write it in 2020

Wonderful short.
The tune will never come out of my head. Ever.
there is a scene in paris texas very similar to this, except for the car
Spike jonze must have had his heart broken pretty bad

Nice homage to the Paris, Texas scene.

The fact we have to do a film analyse about this

Niiiice...I've alwaysssss wondered how the ONE shoe gets there. Hahahah!

he comes from a rich family and was a trust fund baby like how most people become film makers ( ie:sofia coppola)
