You're lucky that you didn't hit your femoral artery! Be safe and god bless LFG. Thank you for sharing this and being so honest with your viewers. I appreciate the content. Love all of it
So lucky! If he hit that artery he would have been unconcious before he could have gotten inside and up the stairs and likely would have been dead before his family knew what happened considering he didn't immediately look at the wound and there was nobody else on hand to tie a tourniquet (probably would have passed out before he could tie it himself). You gotta be careful when your doing shit alone.
That is the most relatable injury I have seen in a while. Can’t count the number of times something sharp bounced back and hit me in the leg like that.
I hope you learn quicker than I have, and stay safe.
That sure must have scared the crap out of your wife, cutting your leg and passing out like that. Get well soon LFG
I bet this isn't the 1st time 👀
I passed out one night after a knee surgery. Went to the bathroom and woke up on the floor with people surrounding me. Always an awkward situation for the person waking up 😂 glad you’re doing well!
😂
I'm an EMT. And I've picked up quite a few people after they were unconscious in a lot of awkward places. The way you put it was kind of funny.
@@conniebennett6646 this just reminds me of an episode of Top gear from years ago, where the guys were testing big rig’s and one of the tests they did was running into a wall of those office water cooler bottles. One of the guys (I think it was James), got knocked out in the impact and came out his seat, so while the firefighters and paramedics were treating him, they cut a piece in where the other two guys were talking about how he was going to wake up in a truck cab, with 5 sweaty firefighters, and be mightily confused for a couple minutes xD
@@dylanshandley1246 😆😆😂😂
Scary for all parties involved.. Glad you're recovering LFG
Man. When I saw the post on IG, I was like, "Whoa. I hope it wasn't a broadhead.".
Many, if not all of us, have done some silly stuff. Glad OSG was there to save the day!
Oh, and my wife and her sisters were taught Mumbley Peg by their Dad. Look up that family fun time activity...lol
Big congrats on reaching 1 million subscribers - definitely well deserved.
Ive had way too many accidents like this. So embarrassing…..there with you man.
Geez LFG! I'm glad you're ok and keeping it real. I was laughing through the while explanation but seriously I'm glad you are ok. The whole outdoorsman craft is being lost to time and I'm ecstatic that I can come to your channel to learn some basics woodsman skills and lessons. Love ya brother!
hell of a way to do a indorsement for a knife company. Glad your good man lesson learned
You’re one of my favorite fishermen to watch. I am very impressed with your skills. Keep fishing brother.
Glad you're okay man.
A reminder to everyone… accidents happen quickly… everyone keep your toys put up so your kids or grandkids can’t get to them. Love your vids, always looking forward to seeing them.
Sooo this is why we haven’t seen you for a few weeks! Glad to see your doing just fine,no more throwing knives now.
That'll learn ya!
As my dad always said, "If you're gonna be dumb, you better be tough." 😂
Kidding aside, glad you're okay.
Your father is a very wise man.
@@titanuranus lol... Yes he was
Yep me to", expect I usually didn't win against trees while riding bikes so I stopped jumping them period
Ouch! Throwing knives not always the safest lol. Glad you’re good man👌
Thanks for sharing such a vulnerable moment to educate folks! You are a class act Justin!
Just watched this two or three times. Brilliant video. I laughed so hard my back hurt. It is so nice to know things like that happen to someone besides me. Your immediate reactions and retelling if the story were priceless. Fantastic job - hope you’re healing well. Thanks for that !
I just wanna say thank you brother, for the years of outdoor content and sharing the good and the bad
Man what i would give to get my son a trip to Mexico 🇲🇽 for some awesome bass fishing..thank God you didn't hit a vein, still praying for you both and hoping you stay tumor free. You guys are blessings to each other . Keep it up..
Ready to watch Mexico.
So glad you're okay! And thank you for touching base on your tumor! Keep the great content coming my guy!
Glad your ok LFG! Hope it heals up quick and prayers for you sir!
This was a great video Justin. Thanks for all of your videos, knowledge and family values. Just keep doing what you are doing.
Thank you for sharing this. It's so easy to forget about being safe. Glad you are ok.
Dude!! That sound!! I would’ve reacted like Jim Carrey in Pet Detective 2 when he had the knives thrown into his thighs😂😂. Glad your ok bud.
It may not feel like it but you are very blessed buddy. I'm glad you are doing ok.
Lol. Your honesty is dope af, brojangles. Glad you’re ok and you didn’t poop your pants when passed out. This a good reminder to everyone how dangerous knives can be. We spend so much time being super careful with our guns but the knives can just as lethal. Stay safe, homey!
I sent this video on to all my boys. Great lesson for everyone on how fast things can go bad. Love your content great videos.
Those Nuke Punches are legit! I put one on and fished my pond. Six bass later was still using the same one. Great stuff from you and the googans.
The way you tell this story and the fluke of this even happening has me rolling!! Glad your ok though and my wife has been with me to get sown up for dumb shit too!
I don't think a guardian angel could prevent that as fast as it happened. And LORD your last 2 video titles go so well together "Top 5 Knives every outdoorsman needs" to this one.
We’ve all done things with knives we wish never happened. And passing out is no shame at all, the body does what it wants to. Hope you healing up quickly.
Hopefully you have a speedy recovery
I have a few things to say-I enjoy your channel because it is very well rounded. fish, hunt, camp, show some home life, etc. you keep it real. I am very glad you were at home and that Steph was home too.. Heal quickly!!! I am very glad to hear the tumor is not growing again. Ignore the haters on youtube because I think I would be very sad if you quit posting these videos.
I know me and a lot of other people appreciate that passing on of knowledge. Love the channel and buds keep it up man!
Man glad you were at home and and the wifey was there. Hope you heal soon, and love your video's.
You're a good person. Glad you're okay brotha.
The Walmart that my wife and I used to work at just lost a manager, actually my wife's old manager. She ran an animal rescue in her free time. She was out taking care of the animals and apparently something knicked her Femoral Artery and she bled out. She was all by herself.
You were extremely lucky and we're all glad that you're still here 😁👍
I would like to see you do some fishing videos from more of the states. Most of us can’t do Mexico or other countries. But I really like your videos. I have a bunch of buddies that have had an annual trout trip to Arkansas for the past 17 years. Thanks
Honestly Rackley for any of the RUclipsrs I watch and follow on social media platforms, you are by far my favorite. Just everything about how you operate. I hope one day to be able to meet you. I have followed your channel for a very long time and I am always watching for new content from you! Keep it up. God Bless you and your family
I can’t believe you actually get shade. That’s crazy. Favorite channel. That was some wound man glad you recovering nicely
A”… a defense mechanism…”
Like a fainting goat? LFG has found his true spirit animal! And I thought it was a Crappie.
I'm just glad you're ok LFG!
Gotta respect this man, it takes some ⚾️⚾️'s to tell this story to the fullest.
I'm so glad your ok. This video is by far more educational than anything. No need for an explanation. It shows us that at any moment something can happen and the key is to stay calm
Thank the lord you’re okay!! Everyone stay safe out there!!
I think a lot of us have had these mishaps, it's great to hear you are doing well. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you’re good man. Not everyone is down to earth enough to share their mistakes. Why people love watching your channel. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks lfg. You are one of the only googans i watch now. Seems like all the others are searching for content in odd ways. You keeping it real. Hunting and fishing. Thanks. Keep it up. I know making content can become stale at times
Boy I just had a thought that your last vid could have been the last time I watched you. Thank god we still have you. Can’t go a single month without watching LFG. Ps get lfd to retire and join you on your channel!!! The father son duo is awesome.
Don't try this at home kids!! Lol that's crazy, glad you are ok. I had just told my wife yesterday that I havnt seen a LFG video lately. Glad your back.
Perfect timing. Wow! We’re getting home from a little weekend camping trip and last night I cut clean through my boot, sock and got to my toe with my hatchet. I was kindling in the dark. And this is the first video that popped up. It really does make for a good story. Thank God you didn’t get it worse man.
In college I played finally for a season, had a knee injury and while rehabbing, took turns in our D-3 school's lone whirlpool with a soccer goalie who hit the hip bone under his glutinous maximus on the 6x6 post of the practice field goalpost. His bruise bled down from his butt all the way to his ankle he had a 3-4" wide bruise that wad every color a bruise can have. He was easy to spot on campus, folks looking I'll behind him as he was a shorts guy almost year round in Wisconsin.
Yes the moral of the story is, don’t be stupid with knives lol. I know the feeling man I put one through my hand. Just one of those face palm moments we have to look back at and just laugh out ourselves. I avoided the doctor for 4 hours but It got the point where I was just constantly passing out and finally I went to the ER, some stitches and pain killers later I was just fine.
Hopefully it wasn't a face palm with the knife still in your hand!
Praise God!!! Prayed for you when I heard you were ill. Happy to hear the good report!
Damn. Luckily it wasn’t any worse. Crazy how it ricochet back towards you with the energy moving forward. Glad you’re ok
Thanks for sharing! I know it took guts to share the incident but you always come out on top!
Daaanng man, I'm glad you are OK. I remember the time when I passed out due to blood loss from bleeding ulcers and my head went through a bathroom hollow core door. That sucked.
Glad you're ok bud. Unbelievable how close that was. Wow. All the best
Happens to the best of them LFG, glad you are well now! Funny you mentioned FL trip, for sure got Scott Martin vibes on this video!
We have all had those, dang it moments, glad you are ok, heal fast bud, praying for a speedy recovery from Vermont
You just reminded me why I am a sub, bc your honest enough to understand and face fault. Good job youngman
Authentic transparency always brings respect. Thanks for sharing!
Were just Glad your okay man! Don't worry about it. It could happen to anyone. Take it easy and heal up.
Glad your OK dude. I’ve had the same thing happen with a throwing knife bouncing back at me after I’ve thrown it. Definitely doy doy moment
Hope you are doing better now. Thank goodness for Stephane , sounds like you had a seizure also. Godspeed 🙏🙏
Thank you for being transparent about what happened. Definitely a learning opportunity for outdoorsmen of all ages and experience.
Glad you ok man
I love how you said, "Don't throw knives at objects.. close to you."
Cuz we all love to throw knives lmfaoo😂
Here’s a good one. I was a butcher and one of my coworkers stuck my 6” semi stiff curved boning on a tray on a shelf above my line of sight. I grabbed the tray and went to slide it down and the knife slide down the tray and launched into my chest pokey end first. I have a 3/4” scar just a couple inches away from my nupple. I looked down seeing the knife hanging out of my chest. If I knew better I wouldn’t have pulled it out but I was 19 and pulled it out and stuck a couple meat diapers on the cut and sat myself down in a manner in case I passed out I wouldn’t hurt myself. I didn’t pass out and when my breathing recovered I looked it and the knife didn’t go through my ribs so 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Coming off a hunting injury 16 days ago. 2nd day Javelina hunting and ripped open my hand on a rusty barded wire fence post, skin flapped open, and two miles from the truck. Luckily my buddy had his first aid kit, mine was in my truck.. he wrapped me up within a minute of the the injury and walked me back to the truck. I ended up with only eight stitches between my index and thumb. Still have weeks of recovery. Awesome to hear you could still slay em in Mexico.
i agree with you regarding "passing on general outdoor information", keep it coming!!
Dang... the ol' lady is NEVER going to let you forget this one! I loved how she was chuckling at you in the ER room. Thanks for the reminder to be safe and not do dumb stuff!
Glad you are alright and that you had Steph with you. I had a similar experience this year on Jan 6th, I was getting ready to travel 5 hours to go hunting and decided to cut some small cedar branches to put with my hunting clothes. I was using a new multi tool with a serrated blade and didn't realize just how sharp it was and I cut straight down through a branch and with the momentum I kept going and hit my knee cap. I knew right away I needed to hold it and get to the house and stop the bleeding, my 7 year old son was the only one around but I was able to wrap it up tightly to stop the bleeding, I had to keep wrapping it up for a few days to keep it from bleeding. I had a hard time bending my knee for 3 days. Then a week later while moving stuff at work I hit it and busted it back open and had to compress it again. Absolutely love your videos and hope the family and you have a very blessed new year.
I’m just glad that your okay LFG
I hope you recover safely and hope everything is going well in your recovery and to your family. Hope to see more catch clean cook into 2022. Love your content LFG!❤
Hey LFG just wanted to say its amazing how long I've been watching your videos... from highschool to 24 years old now full time job, wife, and two kids! Plus building a barndominium with my wife that will be done soon! I just want to say thanks and how much of a motivation you've been for me! All the information I've learned from fishing to fatherhood to hunting! Which Watching you got me back into hunting ever since I went with my grandfather! Now I go solo and was lucky enough to fill two tags the last two years! Anyway good bless and thanks for sharing your journey!
Glad you're ok, Justin. Thanks for sharing, good reminder for us all, it only takes one little slip up.
Glad you are ok and near Steph so u could get some help. Thanks for the Honesty and Reminder on knives 😁👍👍
Just glad your still alive keep catching the big ones lfg!!!
Glad to see you fine. This was a classic case do stupid stuff win stupid prizes.
OMG, Pause for band aid is the funniest thing I have heard in a video in a long while. But the rest of the story honestly was kind of scary. I too have passed out but that involved getting hit by a ricocheting bullet fired by some (insert cuss words here) that hit just under my knee. Hope you heal quickly and you get back to normal soon.
I respect you for being honest about what happened. Let the haters hate, a brand new bubba fillet knife fell off the kitchen counter as I was cutting deer sausage and went through my foot stuff happens
A learning experience! Glad you are on the mend. Looking forward to the Mexico vids.
Thanks for sharing bud, you definitely saved a few folks with your story
Oh man. Time you threw the knife I knew it was coming. Hate that happened to you but it's a good lesson for others to learn from.
glad your okay, speedy recovery man
"The next thing I know... I'm waking up to EMT's .... " the quote that let's you know that you effed up. I laughed out loud but still had genuine concern. Love your channel and your posts. Keep up the great work 👍.
Soooo,glad ur ok and safe,R.I.P. Willis!!🤞 Love, Peace,& Respect!!!🤘🏴☠️
Glad you’re okay brother.
Man, close call. I've had similar experiences, so I feel ya. Another thing, I've been here since over a year prior to you joining Googan. I've been dying to fish with you. You've help me get back into fishing which helps my PTSD from the Army days. Much love to you and your family we the same age having babies. Lol only a couple months apart
I’m glad your still here too Justin!! I would love to go fishing with you for a day or two because fishing is a passion of mine too!!!!
Definitely could have been worse appreciate the honesty just to say kinda been there done that !! Thank u for always sharing
I first tuned you in for you awesome fishing content, but the last year and a half I have really enjoyed all the
Outdoor videos as well. Thanks for keeping it family oriented and interesting every time.
Sorry this happened, been there, kind of not to that extent. Love that Stephanie is laughing while you waiting to get stitched….lol

I just stumbled on a crossbow hunting video from 2014 and there you were!
Thanks for giving us a life lesson. You put your pride aside and gave us the honest scoop.
You could've just deleted the footage and not said anything however Thank you for
sharing it with us LakeForkGuy !! Love the vids with you and pops !!
Too bad you didn't add in Stephs view from this situation!!
*Have a good'nnn*
