I met Charlie when I was about 22 years old! I asked him for his autograph and he held my hands and told me that I was a beautiful lady ! He had the biggest smile from up under his hat 😁 and the bluest eyes ! And a big ring on! He was a lot like my brother Jim! I won't ever forget him! What a awesome man and Musician! Rest in Peace Charlie! 🌹
And another voice joins the Celestial Choir. Rest in angels' arms, Charlie. You'll be missed.
He is alive! This was live on the Fourth! Incorrect!!!
God has all the great ones at his side now! You know heaven is rockin!😪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I am a dumbass! I was staying away from the media and missed this totally. He was a talented musician and a great philosopher.
@@Darthronnin thats not being a dumbass! I just happened to hear it on the radio while l was at work

The Man from Mount Juliet !!
Charlie - You Will Always Be Loved. You Will Forever Be Missed..
Never Stop Playin' !!
❤
One of the finest musicians ever, and one of America's finest patriots. RIP Charlie.

The world lost someone special today. RIP Charlie Daniels!
6th July 2020....it has just been announced that Charlie has passed away. RIP to one of the all-time greats.
My father just passed away the same age as Charlie, 83
I'm amazed how much Charlie Daniels has changed in his lifetime. Becoming a Christian made him a better fiddle player. He's got grit.
And today 7/06/20 it paid off big time!!
May he Rest In Peace :(
God Bless you Charlie. RIP!
@@DoomDeer He will be missed!
Amen!
Someone once asked me what the difference was between a fiddle and a violin. I simple said, listen to Charlie D and thats a 🎻. The best there was. Charlie sitting on that sack of seeds. RIP
Hello
its the same damn thing really
Beautifully said 🇺🇸🦅
Listen to Augustin Hadelich's version of this and then to this recording and you will hear the difference;)
@@adabarda203 for the uninformed folks, the origins of this creation is not even close this mess. Underrated Gipsy violin players could wipe the floor with Charley. Was written and created back in the dark mountains in the former Hungarian Empire by Dinicu exeptional violin player and composer. As a showman Charley would beat him, but as a violin player sorry to say it he has a lot to learn.
Rest in peace to one of the greatest fiddle players of all time now he can play for everyone in heaven because we know he's not in hell because he beat the devil twice
Amen!
A mean
😂
Amen and Amen. We all gotta go sometime, and this man had it going on all the time. Hope God was pleased with his life.
Yes he did
RIP Charlie. You are the standard for musicians and people in general. You will be missed but your legacy will live forever
I've been to probably 500+ concerts...the BIG artists in arenas and bars seeing people like Buddy Guy. Rock, country, punk, blues, R&B, you name it. Still, to this day, The CDB is one of the best shows I've ever been to. I was 8 months pregnant with my only child but that didn't stop me lol. Right down front, rockin, with the baby dancing in my belly. She was born two weeks early and I thank Charlie Daniels for that. My daughter is now 27 and has already seen probably 300 shows!
I woke up this morning with a heavy heart knowing Charlie Daniels was gone. This man touched so many peoples lives. There aint many more good old boys like this left. Rest easy big man. Love and Respect.
You are so right, born in the 50's, grew up loving Bluegrass, mom played Guitar and Uncle Banjo!
I’ve been to many concerts in my life. The best was back in 1978 seeing Charlie Daniel’s! He was the BEST! I sure miss him. I met him in 98. A very humble nice man
There will always be good ole boys
Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs being covered by a legend
Grace integrity and that North Carolina attitude. Praise the lord !!!!!!!.......
Sad for the Daniels family and fans But Heaven just got better today he's got that golden fiddle now
That little thing they had going at 4:10 gave me goosebumps. Pretty amazing band geez.
He was a great legend. 💔 I attended his concert in Albq Back in the day. He opened for ZZ Top. 🥰 RIP Charlie
Such a talent. Lots of fun. Fire On The Mountain. RIP, Charlie.
His fingers just fly across that fiddle!
Run boys run, devil’s in the house of the rising sun.

Probably will never be anyone better then the late master of fiddle himself RIP. Charlie ! No one still compares
There should be a way to like this 100 times.
Charlie, Troy Gentry, and Taz DiGorio who is keyboard player in this video in the red shirt are up in heaven Having one huge jam session.
Rip Charlie! You are and always will be the best fiddle player the world has ever seen! You will be missed!
This has got to be one of the best live musical performances ever....
HOLY SH*T!!!!!!! These guys are amazing!! Pure JOY!
No one can rip a fiddle like him. God bless your soul Charlie! You're awesome.
Not even the devil.
R.I.P. Charlie Daniels 07/06/2020. You've entertained us for decades! You and Johnny will forever be the guardians of that golden fiddle!
RIP Charlie God needed a great fiddle player and a Patriot
Rest In Peace Charlie!! May your fiddle never be out of tune in Heaven !! Thank you for all your great music you leave us with !! The best fiddle player ever !
RIP Mr. Charlie Daniels. Love you always. Saw you when I was 14 in 1974. You are simply the best Fiddler from Tennessee. Your spirit lives on. Get Around Children. xoxo Mare Demma Sobo from Brooklyn NY USA. Now living on the Central West Gulf Coast of FL.
Saw Charlie twice - backstage media pass one of the times. Humble, nice and friendly fellow. Talked about his horses almost as much as his music. Quite a prankster, with his band. Loved it when he got playful on stage. RIP, big guy.
I am 68 y/o. I saw CDB 3 times over the years. He was always entertaining and never disappointing. When ever I need a pick me up I just get on RUclips and blast some CDB “Drinking My Baby Away” or jam away my blues. Thanks Charlie for the great memories!!!
RIP Charlie Daniels. You're my favorite fiddler. No worries about the devil--you already got his gold fiddle.
Right?!
Yes he sure did!
Saw Charlie play a gig in St.L a couple of years ago and he still had it at age 82. What a wonderful talent and a great spokesperson for God and country
Ah, such a treat to watch him just rip that fiddle with his incredibly talented band. All quirky and hilarious dudes too. Sad to see him gone, but he’ll last forever.
God bless Charlie Daniels, and God bless America!
I GREW UP WATCHING MY FATHER PLAY HIS SONGS ON HIS GUITAR. MY DAD LOVED TO PLAY LONG HAIRED COUNTRY BOY! I LEARNED BY WATCHING MY DAD PLAY MR. CHARLIE DANIELS. I LOVE YOU FRIEND. YOU'LL SOARLY BE MISSED!! JUST AS MY FATHERS SOARLY MISSED AS WELL. DAD NOW Y'ALL CAN PLAY HIS SONGS TOGETHER.
RIP LEGEND 🎻🕊😇 💙
The greatest fiddle player ever. Have seen him 7 Times and he was awsome every time
Sawin' the fiddle and pickin' it hot!! drove 5 hours to see Charlie Daniels Band he's still got it and he is a National Treasure!
You can see the sparks and flames flying off that fiddle!
One of the best versions of Orange Blossom Special I've heard in a long time
As a drummer and a HUGE CDB fan since I was a boy back in the 70's, I could watch this video all day. Charlie and the band ham it up and rock it out at the same time, and Pat's double bass is as amazing as ever. I've seen Charlie about 17 times in concert and I hope I get to see him 17 more before he finally retires. I would about give my right arm to be able to PLAY with the CDB at some point but then of course that would make it harder if I ever got the opportunity! THANK YOU Charlie and the CDB for so many years of great music! God Bless each of you and your families for putting up with the touring schedule, etc!
He was amazing & so very talented!! RIP Charlie Daniel
What a remarkable man , his talent is amazing , thank you ! RIP , Bob
Reminds me of all the Southern Rock concerts back in the 70's: CDB, Toy Caldwell & the MTB, Skynyrd [who early in their career even played at The Cellar in Charlotte]; all were great shows & Charlie's as good as ever
Lord do I miss Toy and Tommy. 💔
I saw Charlie at Carowinds Palladium June 12th, 1976 just before my 19th birthday
Charlie tears it up in this one. Just look at his strings on his bow! Wow. Good playing.
This kind if music should be played all over Ireland.
Charlie is kicken ass on that fiddle here.
Only in country music can a then-69 year old man kick ass like this! Note to future musicians, THIS IS HOW YOU KICK ASS! Keep on rocking, Charlie, and here's to hoping you reach the century mark, buddy!
His message will live on. God bless us all. Thank you Charlie Daniels
This man is amazing. I saw him perform live years and years ago at the San Antonio Rodeo and Live Stock Show. It was almost as if you could see the smoke coming off the strings.
Yeah, that's rosin dust
The devil was being choked
Charlie turns 84 next year, and it's good to know that he hasn't lost his fiddle playing awesomeness.
Died a bit after you made this comment, huh?
Unfortunately he did not turn 84.
A legend in our time. Always LOVED this man's talent!
I saw the BIG MAN HIMSELF play this at the little country fair in Hebron, Ct back in the day ! Was about 20 feet away and couldn't have been happier ! What a performer !! What a musician !! Still love me some CDB !!
I too saw Charle in Hebron a few times at the Fair...he used to pkay 2 sets an afternoon performance and an early evening performance...this was around the very early 2000s......He was and is always awesome.
I saw CDB ant the Missouri state fair many years ago. Iwe had track seats about 30 feet from the stage. I'll never forget it.
I remember going to see his band and Seals and Crofts in Denver in the mid 70's. RIP Charlie!
Watching this made me realize what giants the modern music industry is built on. Wow. You don't see this kind of comfort level with one's instrument very often. Their fingers are literally dancing, light and unbothered. Almost like an afterthought. Amazing.
Wonderful musical performance by the Charlie Daniels Band !
Charlie Daniels is the greatest fiddle player this world has ever seen NOBODY will ever be able to match his skills and knowledge of the fiddle....ya know that heaven is rocking out every night
I don't know how the hell I got here. But I'm glad I did.
when you get old that is common.....
Have seen Charlie 8 times and he was awesome every time.this man puts on one hell of a show
"...No bowstrings were harmed in the production of this music... oh wait..." Charlie left it ALL on the stage...
Good times, those...
Dad took me to a Bluegrass Festival in Cincinnati! Saw all the greats! Was so wonderful!
Well…Good Morning! That was quite a performance to wake up to. Crazy!
"And those who endure to the end shall be saved." He endured.
And then some.
I saw him perform this at the plant city strawberry festival years ago and they Shredded ! He literally shred the horse hairs from his bow while playing this. It was badass
I've played that piece and sang it. ("Hey look a yonder comin, comin down that railroad track, why it's the Orange Blossom Special, bringin my baby back.") There ain't no place to take a nap in it. Thank you Charlie Daniels and your band.
Rest in peace Charlie 😥 you will be greatly missed
Do you realize that he was 76 when he did this? He'll be 78 this year and still rocking.
This video was made 2013 but read tge description and its from 2005😉

RIP Mr.Daniels I've always enjoyed your music. My condolences to the family and friends. 🤝
Saw CDB in Iraq in'04 at Camp Liberty. Came through on a USO tour and did a full hour and a half show non-stop in 98 degree heat. The rim of his hat was dripping sweat, but he didn't stop. Greatest concert EVERRRRRRRR!
This is my Favorite Song from Charlie Daniel's Songs! But he still lives on in people's Hearts, when they hear
this nice music! And he also. left something for the True Americans to learn & pass on to their Grandchildren! The Best of the Best for this Song!! Superb!!!
I never tire of these great musicians.
That was HELLA FUN!!
Charlie, you could make a fiddle sing. You will forever be missed.
The Best their ever was . and ever will be thank you CDB
R.I.P. Charlie, sure gonna miss you!
Charlie Daniels is so fantastic! My Dad took me to music hall in Cincinnati to see a Blue Grass Festival! Many years ago, I enjoyed it to much! Had a great time!
NObody plays the "Orange Blossom Special" as well as Charlie Daniels! The man is a living legend for my generation. I'm not terribly fond of fiddle -- unless it's in Charlie Daniels' hands, and then I can't get enough! His talent is simply astounding.
I am by no means a country music fan, but this is f#*@(#*E amazing!
Bradley Reid it’s southern rock
Yep
R.I.P. Charlie Daniel's you will play on in our Hearts!
They joked around like that throughout their entire shows. Great mix and total entertainment!
He earned that fiddle made of gold. Satan lost once more. Charlie is resting in The Kingdom.
God bless you 🙏 and God bless America 🇺🇸 gonna miss you friend 😢
that old boy STILL rocks that fiddle! dang! respect. big time.
Violin* don't be degrading please
Alex Rivers Fiddle* don't be patronizing please.
Josef Zack yeah Charles Edward Daniels is the man I believe he's about 80 years old now
Josef Zack seen him live twice..once at the opry...he is a true performer. The other time I saw him he got new bows through out the show because he played that thing so hard he would literally shred them.
Cup Cakes yep Charlie Edwards Daniels is quite a performer
Gittin DOWN with it! One of my favorite concerts at the Armadillo World Headquarters was Charlie Daniels with Marshall Tucker. Yall should remember that he not only can tear it up on the fiddle, he is one helluva guitar player as well. Passed away not long after a dear friend. Well, they be jamming together now.
Gonna miss Old Charlie! He was a good one. I got 2 of his classic albums back in the 70s; Saddle Tramp and Fire on the Mountain on LP. RIP Charlie wish I could attend your funeral- be there in spirit my friend.
God Bless you Charlie, from a fellow patriot and Tennessean (formerly Mt. Juliet/Hermiage resident).
I pray for you, from the Great Smoky Mountains, my brother in Christ! Thank you for all you do, for God and country!

Killer band. Definitely got the rock band vibe going.
That's a bad ass belt buckle
Last time I seen him was 20+ years ago, and he looked and sounded the same. Easily my favorite Charlie song live.
Charlie so sad to hear of your passing! A great Bluegrass man! Loved your music!
