Regarding "Mana" and "Papa"... my wife and I don't even have kids, but we've had cats for 30 years. We call each other Mama and Papa... And when our Siamese cat is too chatty, I often hear "I'm busy, go see your Father!" hollered at him from downstairs.

Laundromat? You had a washing machine in your earlier videos. You can hang damp clothes all over the house. To make that process faster, I recommend a centrifugal spin dryer. They use much less energy than your traditional tumble dryer, and are much easier on the clothes, too.

You know how to get that snow off your deck and when it's ice or on your stairs get a propane tank with a torch on it to where you can carry it and just spray the heat it up real quick you don't have to go all the way down just enough to you where you can put some salt on it and you should do that before you go anywhere do it every night I live in Iowa we've only got snow twice we don't have no snow out there now but put that salt on there every night

You can put snow holders on the roof and possibly problem of falling snow will be reduced. It holds heavy lower layer of snow on the roof but upper layer is blown by the wind. But roof must be able to carry additional weight of snow!!

You will need those outside stairs for a fire escape.

We have a roof over our outdoor stairs, no walls, and it barely reduces the amount of snow they still have to be shoveled. I wonder if expanded metal steps would make any difference.

Icey stairs, even though there is no salt underneath it would break it up. You "temp" could put down some roof asphalt tiles, then salt the stairs. Then the salt would not damage the wood.

That outdoor stairway is clearly the most dangerous thing on your homestead. It is not something to take lightly. It would be fine if you lived in the desert but unfortunately you live in snow country. I hope your are diligent in cleaning them off daily, I would hate to see one of you walking around in a cast. Thank you for sharing this with us. I spent 27 years in the US Army so I have done my lifetime limit of pushups.

One of the greatest words of endearment was MOM or variations of it, like hey momma or even times was yes mam as it always meant to me and the miss's loved it even before kids. If it feels wrong to the misses, then it would get dropped but for me would take some time as I have heard it used all my life by others... including of all or least of all, expectant daughter. I know that term was used by my grand parents who passed at a very old age in the forties. Everyone in my family line had kids very late in life.

Every room uses so many CFM as measured on calculation ... Using voltmeter it can be determined on the air flow for that room.... not having damper in each run you will have to turn the registered to cut down the cfm..... Some room will have to be adjusted foe summer and winter....also adjusting the rest of rooms the closer register it will give air flow for the rooms correctly please balance system the bathroom for example does not need need a full flow... can be damper back... I am glad that the cold air return is far away as possible from the kitchen and that bathroom.... AS it will pull the smell the stinky smell from these rooms a will spread all over the house!! Check into what I suggested as being correct..............
