Watch Lumnah acres RUclips channel. He has used one of those magnetic outlet finders and hasn't had any trouble, it really is a great tool.
Yeah reading instructions might be the difference?
@@harlanmclain1719 there's no such thing in the off grid lifestyle 😎
@@russellwatters5891 oh I see well I life off grid & I get them that's how I start fires but theres times I wished I had read them be4 starting the fire
@@harlanmclain1719 hahaha 😆
Al on Lumnah Acres uses that magnetic item and has near perfect cuts each time. Good luck Marty and Julie.
Brother you have a Sharpe quick mind for the of grid life , I'll pray that. you have a bless and long life there in those beautiful mountains. A very beautiful house and home their in those mountain. GOD BLESS you all.
Wow! Lots of snow. We love it! The end of Sheetrock is in sight!
Good video guys... and wow I'd say you surly have your share of snow there... Too bad you couldn't harness it power wise for something in the winter... Buy any chance do they make a snow blower attachment for your tractor? That was really nice of that person to of sent ya that magnet box finder... I hope you guys get the hang of it...
Yes they do make one. Don't know if ill get one though.
Lumnah Acres just got one of those magnet things and man they work like magic!!!
God Bless and have a Wonderful Weekend!! 👍🙂🌷
Al at Lumina Acres uses that yellow magnet method. He found it worked very well! At least it seemed faster easier and less messy than the lipstick method.
If you are not using the RV as living space, you should close the slides. All that weight will cause problems with the slide out tracks❄. Glad to see the end in sight, good work!
Al Lumnah used those magnet devices with a lot of success. I suspect that you didn't have the sheetrock close enough to the wall for the magnets to work properly. Good news is your about through hang the sheetrock. Thanks for sharing.
Regular truck tire chains make a lot of difference on the front of the tractor when you plowing snow,
Yes AL Lumnah uses these. Pretty slick idea! God bless and take care 🙏
I have been prepping by buying foods that do not need to be cooked to eat, and items that I like that have highest nutritional value in fruits and vegetables freeze dried. Learned how to build a rocket stove and have plenty of small dry wood on my property for fuel. I really plan to only boil water on the rocket stove. And of course some seeds to try to start my own container gardens beginning this spring. I have done tomato plants only the last couple years. My daughter was making fun of my prepping until this whole thing with Russia began now she says wow they could mess with our power grid. This is a serious matter we should be prepping too!
Have a wonderful weekend GOD BLESS 🙌
Thank you! You too!
It's been long time not see you Mr and Mrs Martin Johnson...how are you ? And how about Sarah ? Wonderful works you're doing...👍👍👍👍
The one sheet of drywall behind all those pipes is pretty impressive! So is the snowfall!
I love it!
@@MartinJohnsonOffGridLiving that carport the trailer was in does your neighbor still have it suggestion it's cut into use it for the tractor, bolt it back together. Better than a tarp
This is an scammers don't contect him
WOW thats some snow!! did you know that Snow is rain coming from above meeting a cold spot and turning to snow!! Also If youre water tank gets near empty fill it with snow from the top of the pile (clean), and when it melts!!, Drinkees!!. Lumnham Acres used the magnets succesfully!! Be nice when someone sends you a Gift to give them a name check!!, Nice job fitting around all those pipes. Thanks fro the video Love from UK. x x
When you start sanding maybe look into renting a power sander. I've heard they work well in cutting down the dust and work of sanding. Good job on the work so far it looks amazing! God Bless
Looking great!!! The one sheet of drywall that goes in back of the dryer was terrific! Awesomeness!!!
good thing you guys love snow , you must ecstatic and looking for more
You had the outer magnet upside down, you could see it skip.
I watched several videos where Al at Lumna acres was using this magnet box and he was quite happy with it. I am sure when they figure it out they will like how it works.
Too bad they are at the end of their drywall project
That's very nice of you to let them know. They may choose to fix it now or not, but they will know for future projects they may start.
I used one recently... I had pretty good luck with it but you do have to keep the orientation of both angles correct. I would trace it then hold it very close over the area a second and third time and when I had two marks in the same place I'd use those. It does have about and 1/8th inch of play but still didn't have to use and "Jumbo" covers.
@@maryiverson5874 Still got the main house to go.
The first time I ran into the , snow covered vehicle thing. My dad just said four words. 2x4 and a tarp.
I think you may have had North South magnets flipped by how it was jumping . Nice chuckles Julie... 😂
Hi jules
To clear snow of rv long rope and throw it to back of hang over and two people on each end to pull of snow saves ladders
Lumnah Acers used those magnet cutouts.
Thanks for sharing~snow is beautiful~but~🤔build a snow man, cabin, igloo maybe🙄 enjoying your journey🤗❤👍
Great idea
It truly amazes me how much more beautiful snow looks now that I’m in Phoenix and no longer have to deal with it..😆
Deep snow. Too cold for this south Florida boy. Good luck. Thanks for sharing
You bet
Thank you for the check list Marty & Jules
Impressed with your cuts for the pipes...That was a difficult wall.Sad the magnetic thing didn't work out. It does work well hope you figure it out when you start on the downstairs drywall...All that snow..argh!
Thanks 👍 I'm sure it was operator error.
DOMMAGE
I'd suggest getting a sno-brum (check amazon) you can also buy just the snow broom head and use your own painters pole for it. I use a 16ft telescoping pole to do the roof of my RV. Works great on all vehicles, no scratching and it moves a lot of snow at once.
Thank you for "Water Heater" 🙂
That's a good suggestion ( tarp it)
The outlet magnets really work. Al from Lumnah Acres used it.
i have to play catch up on your videos i haven't been able to keep up lately. about the time i figured out my sheet rock i was finished. LOL
I see you still didn’t listen to us about putting a tarp over the tractor. Lol 😂
😂
Marty, always cut in the direction the RotoZip turns. Left to right. Going in the opposite direction will cause deviation and jumping making bad cuts and possible danger. Think of it like a little circular saw that you wouldn’t think of running backwards even though it would cut but slower and dangerous.
Our snow here in St. Maries is almost gone. But our property out by Emida still has a far amount but it’s melting. Can’t wait until winter is done. The cabin fever has been bad this winter.
Thanks for sharing. Take care, see ya :)
Great video!! Loved the animated algebra equations. And you used the QR code. Can't wait to hear how it worked.
Awesome! Thank you!
Good job on the drywall with all the holes! Wish we could get some of that snow down here in Central Idaho, we've been too dry this winter. Thanks for all the great tips and stories, they're helpful and fun.
on lumnah acres they work with that magnet and it work perfectly
Use a wet sponge damp for sanding your joints . Won’t breath that nasty dust
Some possibly helpful information when rocking your house.... if you find yourself measuring for your cuts at any point always measure from the ceiling down not from the floor up.. the reason .... if you measure from the ceiling down your Sheetrock will fit tight against the ceiling once it’s cut. If you measure from the floor up you may end up with a gap at the ceiling. Hope you find this useful
Where your electric line got the hot water heater it needs on for igniter
it is there
Sanpaper sponge works best when damp to slightly wet, it helps smooth best that way.
I realized about one minute into you cleaning your tractor off why I left Idaho... Was almost 80 here in North Carolina.
Thank you so much for the check list.......Great vlog....
You are so welcome!
PRO TIP: for sanding the walls, It would be nice to have a power sander that hooks up to your shop vac, they can be rented or purchased. Helps a ton on drywall dust and keeping the home cleaner, just saying, you may want to look into one
hi guys amazing video and what amazing snow there wow when it will end haha take care
Love your videos. Wish there was more. Your homestead is amazing. Do you start your own garden plants? Thank you for sharing
Not yet.
Don’t need tarp if you put a cab on it. Thanks for the video!
Eu sou brasileira, é um prazer acompanhar o canal, parabéns
You must get a deal on shirts from Bunker Branding, I have seen T shirts from Matt, Brandon and Scott.
You guys amaze me you are so resilient. I love all the family keep it up
I watched Lumnah do that and he never messed up
He is the master.
Salut. Keep at it. Hope kids are doing well. Best to all. Blessings.
Salut. I had a message to make a call. I called but now the message is gone. Wha'hapnd? I hope I didn't upset you folks. Let me know, please? Blessings
Salut 2x now I've sent pics of the message. I am slightly tech challenged. Maybe I should stop torturing.
Good job
Lummah acres used that magnet and it works
10hp 2 stage snowblower would be great
Hey you should make some snow forts. 😉
Looking good 👍🙏🏼❤️
Toooo much snow 4 me lol, glad you guys can handle it.
You got the holes for the pipes all in the right place on the first shot?? That's impressive.
You can get a drywall sand block that goes on a poll and sand would be easier than standing on a ladder.
4 or 5 channels that I watch are in the mudding process. They all used different techniques. My approach would be to try several and pick one that works for me. But I agree with most of them, sheetrock is something you have to push thru and just get it done.
HOWdy JOHNSONS,

Nice Electric Outlet GIZMO ! ... but ... LIPSTICK is still "KING" !

I received my 23 SOLAR PANELS last week = only 208 watts each = but = just barely $1,000.00 used

Place looks great cannot wait until Sheetrock is done😂
I am just so impressed that yall havent bought a snow blower yet ;)
your Videos make me shake my head the most hahaha 😅😅🤣😅😂😊😉🤭🤭🤭
I just put in my order for a 24V 400AH Battleborn battery storage system.
Hey Marty and Jules - Al over at Lumnah Acres been using them for weeks mate
Your video is so interesting!
Tux sure is cute
Love your channel
Instead of all those measurements use a horizontal and a vertical story stick. Just make marks on the sticks. Transfer to sheet rock.
Saw Lumnah acres use one of those
lumnah acres users them, very good little tool, check them out, also off gridd family
Looks nice. Looks like a lot more screws installed than you really need.
Ain't gonna fall down
There's others that use the outlet locators, no problem, it must be because of your "magnetic personality" that it's not working. Lol Love what ya'll are doing
Al Lumnah must have used them for a dozen and a half boxes and never get any wrong. I don't know what your doing wrong hahahaha
Evening
You really need a snowblower ..... man !
You do know that if you leave the shovel outside in the cold, snow won't stick to it. Just need to make sure you can find it.
Its behind something I'd have left it. Just because it's in a closet but if u got $ to spair guess easyer 2 get another sheet good luck
🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠 way to go 💯💯💯💯💯💯
When I snow plow, I wear my full face motorcycle helmet. Warm, No snow in the face.
Read the instructions you put one on the blue box it’s doesn’t on the wall put the sheet rock up then put the movable part on the outside and it draws the yellow inside part up against it to market on the backside of your sheet rock. Check the instructions!!
I laughed when you said, "Wouldn't it be amazing, if we just put it up there, and it all just fit the first time?" My brother used to say, "Anything is possible, if you don't know what you're talking about."
I remember doing plastering, then I said never again, let the professionals do it...less hassle and the professionals get it done fast...( I can do patch jobs myself)
You need a lean too for your tractor 🚜, poor thing is cold 🥶 🤣
You got that right!
Just watched Lumnah Acers and he just got a sheet rock sander. :0)
I was just watching that also. Looks like it would be useful here.
Do you have a list of food and or a list of recipes you use?
Hopefully the snow will be over with soon. Do y'all have plans for the roofs and the snow for the future? You've probably said before and my memory is failing me.
Yep. cant wait till spring to get started on them.
@@MartinJohnsonOffGridLiving there is an scammers ..
Boy you guys are going to have snow on the ground in July. Lol
With so much snow, I'd probably run around with a snowblower just to shoot the snow from a to b = )
Is this much snow typical for your area or is it an extra snowy winter.
For all the holes you have you need to get a zip tool it works like a charm with perfect holes every time. Just measure to the center of the box then zip to the edge lift and just move a bite to the outside of the box and zip around the outer edge of the box. HAD TO EDIT NEVER NEW YOU HAD A ZIP UNIT WHY DO YOU NOT USE IT ON ALL HOLES ????
You might regret using that straight flex. There's a good chance it will start popping loose unless you glued it really heavy. There's a better product called ultra flex no coat.
Gadgets sometimes make the job 2 times as hard…. How’s how much the lipstick 💄 helps! Simple and easy
good bless
