    I've seen your UA video before and I recently re-discovered your channel. When I saw the video that you quit, I thought you were talking about UA, but not AA until a couple of videos after. That's cool that you got to experience DEN, nice airport too with the enhancements. Looking forward to more videos!! Congrats with your new airline! I think it is safe to say you have hit the legacy airlines.

    • @TheBohemianTraveler
      @TheBohemianTraveler  Год назад +1

      It’s still considered standby. However, the interesting thing was, when my husband used it in Austria, they gave him a seat 24 hrs ahead

    I love airport lounges like amex centurion. I heard centurion will allow non rev tix only on connecting flights. is it easy to book a flight standby with a connecting flight where I can stay at the connecting destination for several hours to enjoy the lounge? or would that be difficult? I am all about airport lounges.

    • @TheBohemianTraveler
      @TheBohemianTraveler  Год назад

      It’s pretty easy to book Nonrev tickets. I don’t think there should be a problem.

      It totally depends. But if there are not seats together, they will give you seats separately. There may be a nice customer that sees you guys separate and volunteers to move. But I never ask the customer because I don’t think it’s allowed. Congratulations by the way!

    I have been following your channel since I gained interest in the airline industry and I must say that it has been helpful thank you so much for sharing all the knowledge you do. I got an offer for ticket agent (fulltime at delta) and I also got an interview for flight attendant (delta). I wish I had seen your channel earlier. I would have looked for seasonal positions as my main interest is the flight benefits. I had no idea that seasonal employees at delta keep their flight benefits. Also I have seen more seasonal opportunities for ramp agent then for ticket agent. I opted to not take ramp agent becauce I was under the impression that it is back breaking work. After watching your video on ramp agent it did not seem so bad... or is it? Also what would you reocmmend to someone like me who wants the flight benefits and to work as little as possible? After accepting the offer, I talked to one of the people in the onboarding and they told me that my position is full time. Is it usually easy to transition from full-time to seasonal at places like delta? For flight attendant, is it one of those jobs that one works 4 hours and feels like they worked 8? Many people talk about that unpaid time at work.

    • @TheBohemianTraveler
      @TheBohemianTraveler  Год назад +1

      So cool, you have so many opportunities! I love seasonal. It works for me and my family life and my hospital career. Since you already got hired at Delta, do you feel as though it might be easier to be already in the job and then, when an opening comes, you can transfer to Seasonal? That may be easier than not taking the job and applying again with seasonal. But it’s totally up to you. I know many women that do Ramp, it’s not that back breaking. However, you just have to know how to lift the bags and protect your body at the same time. For me, Ramp was a lot more pleasant. Flight attending is a great job but to me it felt all encompassing. And when they say unpaid hours, this is what they mean. For instance, if you have 3 one hour flights, you only get paid for when the door closes and when the door opens the meaning flight time. Then you may get to your destination and have to sit around for a couple of hours before your next flight and then do the next flight. So sometimes people are working 13 hours a day and only getting 4 or 5 hours of pay. That’s what they mean. Good luck with everything. Let me know what you end up doing!

      @@TheBohemianTraveler I will be talking to my onboarding person concerning options. Last time I spoke to them, they had said that they were not seeking seasonal customer service at that time. Since my start date for ticket agent is so far away I will do some more research about the delta flight attendant job. I have found that for delta they have to do 6 days as reserves a month. Do you happen to know if there is a minimum number of hours that a delta flight attendant has to work in a given month? I totally see how a 1 hour flights can turn to such a long day. I will definitely keep this in mind as it is very important. Thanks again!

    Hi
    I got a question. I’m getting ready for an interview next week for a Cargo CSA position and I was told to bring/wear pants and no hats. However do you know you have seen anyone in that cargo department with a skirt and a religious head covering on?
    I do not wear pants at all. I’m currently working as a HHA with patients.
    Please can you get back to me soon
