I used a hydration backpack. Camelbak has an adjustable hydration belt that has a small water bottle & a cell phone pocket.

That’s a smart idea! I never thought of that. My middle son uses it for hiking, but that would be great for the ramp as well.

Interesting list, thanks for sharing. I would also add a first aid kit and some non-prescription pain relievers. Starting ramp agent training on May 15th. 😎👍

Hi! I’ve watched quite a few of your videos and in most of them you say that CSA and ramp agents are extremely flexible once you were able to get past the probation period and able to bid for schedules. I guess my question for you is were you hired as full-time and then switch to bidding for hours that work best for you? I am getting hired as a full-time CSA, and eventually want to do minimal to part-time hours during summers just because of childcare. What are your thoughts on that?

Congratulations!!! I’ve always worked part time for the airlines. I have seen full-time agents work only 2 to 3 days a week because they stack their shifts with others. It’s a lot of hours on your feet, but you can make it work. You can also give away your hours. It’s going to depend upon your coworkers, and if they want extra hours. But in my experience, the job can be extremely flexible.

I am not sure how it is in your country. But , in the US, we go on the airline’s website and apply. Hope this helps.

Are the benefits from the airlines good? (medical benefits)

I think they are. I opted out because I have medical insurance. But I didn’t hear anyone complain about it.

Just left american airlines. I was a gate agent working for $14.74 per hour, for 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, with rotating days off. Absolutely unacceptable. I'm glad i'm gone 😂🎉🎉🎉

I understand. You have to do is best for you. I’m the same way. Please tell me you were able to use your flight benefits at least once.🙏🏾
