#shorts #starwars #darthvader Did Leia EVER Forgive Darth Vader in Star Wars? Source: "The Truce At Bakura" by Kathy Tyers and "Tatooine Ghost" by Troy Denning
@@bradykenny5485then why are you saying leia forgave "darth vader" when she forgave anakin, for temporarily just turning INTO darth vader? is it because you are have stupid?
Leia was so much like Anakin and Luke was like Padme. Leia was strong-willed, impulsive, stubborn, direct, snarky, passionate, protective, slow to forgive, and slow to change her opinion. Luke had Padme’s optimism, compassion, and forgiving nature which is why he was able to bring Anakin back. I’m not sure Leia would have had the same effect because she was so similar to him and many of the traits they share are reasons he turned in the first place.
Going by that, Leia was the most likely fallen to the dark side. If Vader brought her to Sidius instead of Luke, she may have taken the bait and if that happened, would've taken down Luke seeing how much anger Luke had towards Vader at mentioning her name.
@@celestrio Honestly, if it was to protect and save her people/attachments, she might have turned if only a little. She does have her mother’s strong will and sense of justice, so as much as she would have fought for her morals she would have chosen to sacrifice herself to protect her loved ones. My point is that the way Leia would have handled the walk with Vader going to Sidious would most likely have been either more pleading like a just politician, the part of Padme that tended to get in the way of her and Anakin’s relationship, or more threatening and confrontational like him vs Luke simply saying that he has absolute faith that there is still good in him just like Padme. Vader was moved by Luke’s words because they echoed his wife’s and even his mother’s unwavering belief in him. Leia didn’t believe there was good in him since she was much more direct, serious, and looked to his actions to determine who he was, just like Anakin himself would have, rather than blind faith. I don’t think she could have swayed him and brought him back and brought balance.

The part that I love about this is. Luke could forgive anakin because as a jedi he understood things such as the dark side and how i can literally corrupt a person. She however was looking at it from a normal person view she didn't understand how one slip to the dark side can fuck a person up and only saw vader not anakin

@@histguy101Tarkin was the boss, earlier he told Vader to stop force choking someone. At this time until the death star was destroyed with him on it, Tarkin was the boss and Vader had to obey him.
Tarkin was never vaders boss. Vader has his own agency. Vader listened to Tarkin out of respect not because Tarkin commands Vader. Vader is not part of any formal military or government, he is an extension of Palpatine. It is correct that vader didn’t blow up the planet, but that’s like giving daps to hitlers right hand man for not ordering the holocaust. He is still his associate.

This could’ve been a great path for making her a new villain. Her hate could potentially drive her to the dark side, making her, not Luke, the Skywalker heir to the empire.
People seem to forget that we change we're not the people we were as children and we're not the adults that we've become as we grow older and even in death there's a change Anakin only wanted his daughters forgiveness and for her to understand that what Darth Vader had done was not Anakin. Obi-Wan was quoted as saying that you have allowed this dark thing this evil force to twist your mind until now you have become the very thing you have sworn to destroy; Leah couldn't forgive her father because she never knew him as her father he died before she was born and what was left was a mechanical monster and a dark wielder of the force that had no compassion and no understanding outside of what the Chancellor allowed him to have and too many times I actually see this becoming a reality with our young people who are filled with hate and taught to be raged when they're not taught enough love or compassion but just to resent and fight back against what they're taught is evil and yet what they think is evil is something they don't even understand you can't call something that you can't understand and it's something you can't understand you can't understand how you feel you need to see your choice choices and when you can't understand your choice your left with doubt you're left with rage just as Anakin was a mustafar when he went against Obi-Wan and felt that Obi-Wan was trying to do something with his wife

Still no excuse for anything he did. He lost everyone because how much of a man baby he was and how easy he was to manipulate. All you had to say was I can save your wife and he would do everything you asked of him.
No one is trying to justify all the evil acts anakin performed as vader, but just like how anakins selfless act of saving luke in rotj didn't erase all the evil acts vader performed as vader. All the evil acts anakin performed as darth vader didn't erase all the good he performed while he was anakin.
One of the many ways the sequels failed is that we never got the father/daughter reconciliation that we had with Luke and Anakin. They should have had Leia and Anakin's force ghost playfully bicker with each other.
