Today’s religious leaders tell kids, and adults, that they’re not going to heaven because of their sexuality or identity - that they didn’t choose and can’t change? They are shutting off the kingdom of heaven to them. Yeah, it’s not okay. The key is to understand that these words of condemnation and judgment, have nothing to do with you. Nothing to do with God! You are all good!

I'm 15 years old and I am a christian. I love God so much and was afraid He would never love me. I would cry myself to sleep thinking I was going to hell. These are just a few. There are many more. This woman is a liar. God is holy, you can't purposely live an unholy lifestyle and make it into heaven, despite what this lady says. You either love God enough to stop or you don't. Also, she lied about what Jesus said. The following are only two passages where Jesus is speaking but there are more.
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
Matthew 18:8 And if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into the eternal fire.

I trust you. My mom past away from breast cancer and I wanna be with my mom so badly. And for hearing people say that you'll go to hell for being part of the LGBTQ community makes me so sad and so scared. I go to church every Sunday and Wednesday.. and i finally got the courage to ask if LGBTQ+ goes to heaven and my Sunday school teacher said "no" my heart dropped... cuz.. i'm bisexual... and my gay best friend asked if God loves LGBTQ+ and again, she said "no" my heart dropped even more.. Thank you for this. I grew up Pentecostal church and was very involved in my church. I tried for the better part of my younger life to *change* because of the view of many who I loved and respected in my church community. I found a church that felt very open and accepting. After about a year of going there and telling other LGTBTQIA people about this church I believed to be a safe haven for people like us, my former pastor changed his tone and said that homosexual thoughts and actions were going to send us to hell. I walked out mid-sermon. I was absolutely devastated. I haven’t been back to church since and this was a few years ago. I’m hoping someday I can find a church that is truly accepting. I feel guilty for inviting my LGBTQIA peers to that church. One of my good friends were two married women and they became highly involved in the church. I know they were incredibly hurt by this too. The church since then has failed and I was the first to leave.

When you said John 3:16 I started to cry and paused the video because ever since I found out I was bi I have always referred back to that verse because it was the first verse I learned and probably one of the most important because it says “for god so loved the world ” meaning he loves every one for who they are.
Not long before I watched this video I was crying and asking myself what if this verse just means he loves me and not support me
Yes baby, you continue to listen to that verse as you've always heard it! Yes God loves you AND supports you! Only humans make up this useless distinction that they "love" you but "can't support" you. That's people so they can feel like they're still being loving as they reject you. No. :) God doesn't do that! You still right in the peace you first found--you got it right!

I had a homophobic friend he was mainly that way because of his religion. I also believe in his religion but I also believe that God loves all and we should treat others the same. I say the same thing that this wonderful and nice woman said. No matter if your gay, bi,lesbian and etc you will still be excepted by God all you have to do is except him into your heart. Please sister, do not lead people astray. It clearly states in so many scriptures that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom, along with several other things that God is not in agreement with. Yes, nothing can separate us from the love of God but that doesn’t mean that he will not judge us based off of how we choose to live. God is coming soon.

Actually, there are only 6 scriptures (Not sure what qualifies as "so many") - and those scriptures have been mistranslated, edited, changed, and twisted to wrongly condemn our LGBTQ brothers and sisters. For example, a passage that originally said "man shall not lay with a boy" was changed to "man shall not lay with a man." Also, another passage was changed in 1946 when two words, having nothing to do with same-sex relationships, were smushed together and the word homosexual was added to the Bible - for the first time. I was here about a year ago on my old account named "Kyla Mae" stating that I was bi and my church said lgbtq+ people would go to hell. I deleted my comment because I didn't want my dad to find out. I'm here again to say that I am a christian lesbian and I changed my name from Kyla to Alex.. I believe I will go to heaven :) my dad still doesn't know but I'll tell him one day after I move out.
