Snapper season basically started
Never get tired of squid takes, the sudden heaviness in the line and pull. Do you clean up the skin before you use as bait?

I envy how you can thread your rod so easily.
I'm an older fart that needs glasses for stuff like that especially threading hooks and getting the line through that bloody loop when tying my locked blood knots. I know, there are probably better knots but old dog new tricks etc. Love my fishing but getting older is overrated.
I have changed to Uni knots for the same reason and it is a much stronger knot when using flourocarbon leader.

Fished this same area on Friday and got 5 and got a kraken that ate one of our smaller squid in our live bait tank lol

@@NevsFishing Yeah mate, Patterson river is in carrum. I go there a lot, the bridge at the mouth actively produces salmon, pinkies, bream, tailor and jewfish with sometimes the occasional flatty or EP. Other good spots are the marina (kayak) which have HEAPS of bream and EP. Past the marina, there isn’t as much boat traffic, so it’s quieter and a really productive spot with bait like chicken and pilchard. Yesterday we caught a big pinkie on pilchard at the mouth (video on my page haha). All the best mate🍻🍻

Not the arrow squids, they are chat and heaps rubbery, only good for bait. Calamari Squid are beautiful and juicy eating, so are tigers.
Yeah those snapper are early. Over here in Nz, they tend to start running mid November. Love your channel mate. Wonder if it's time to throw out a suggestion for a catch and cook episode.? Your call. Anyway thanks for the upload. Atb from across the ditch here in Nz.
