if only lovecraft could live to see the nascent furry fandom’s literature during the 90’s, so that his last work could be titled “The Horror From the Internet”.
I just got recommended this channel. You’re honestly really chill and laidback and extremely respectful. As someone who is getting into writing and going for a career revolving around writing, I am subbing this channel :)
Thank you. I hope to stay that way.
oh here is a suggestion. how about the original Thrawn triligoy. If you have time you could compare it to Thrawn's first book appearance in the new cannon
Blazing-hot take:
Only the first Thrawn book is any good. The later books get progressively worse at every facet of writing -- from plot to character payoffs to the writing of the technical details that allow you to even be able to follow along with how events are supposed to be playing out.
now do you just Heir to the Empire is the only good one, or the first thrawn book from the new canon?@@LightningNC
@@JoelFeila To me, the "Disney canon" does not exist. Star Wars stopped in 2014.
fair point @@LightningNC
Everyone knows Timmy Zahn for his Star Wars. But nobody remembers him for his non-star wars prose. Dragon & Thief, Icarus Hunt, Conquerer's Pride. All interesting works.
Indie Book "Neon Harvest" Mollison, Jon. Detective Noir in a city where the party never ends.
I may not have read many indie authors, but I still have an alright library. If I may request you to review a book series I've read and enjoyed, I'd like you to review the Keeper of the Lost Cities books by Shannon Messenger. Might not be your cup of tea given it's intended age range and perhaps audience, but I've surprisingly enjoyed it.
We shall see. I'm thinking of picking up an indie next week after my current books I'm reviewing.
@@talexratcliffe Cool.
If I may offer a review topic for April Fools? How about Titus Groan.
The book itself is dense. Very Dense. A triple chocolate cake frosted in pure fudge dense. That's a feature though, not a bug. Mervyn Peake was an accomplished poet and illustrator before he published this book, and understood the importance of brevity. This was his experiment at ignoring that. And he still got it published!
If you do read it, take the time to enjoy the detail. He created a facinating world. Also, maybe thank the gods you don't have to read the whole trilogy.
Appreciate the suggestion. I'll have to jot it down.
Sounds great.
That was sarcasm.
Makes me wonder if the booktok fans are either full of crap or have no taste
It's like walking through the desert with no water, only you can't die.
Hi! I enjoy watching your reviews. Since you're calling for submissions, I'd like to suggest my debut novel, 'Pharmakides' by Alice Abyss. Other than that, I would love to hear your analysis of the Harry Potter series.
Best wishes.
Can you do *Darkwar* by Glenn Cook
We shall see
Sounds like this book was deliberately written badl.
I'd say so, but I know people who really like it.
