Cool, a review of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, not to be confused with Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, Rogue Trader, Rogue Trader, Rogue Trader, or Rogue Trader: A Warhammer 40,000 Game.

I know! It boggles my tiny mind you can't romance Argenta! It also boggle my mind tou can apparently romance the Eldar chick and I'm a huge fan of the Eldar, they're my main 40k faction I collect and I simped hard for them with my iconoclast Rogue Trader, forgiving and tolerating their many ills throughout the game (it works out in the end as they seem to realise you're a legit ally and see you a bit more than just a Mon'Keigh and help you in the endgame) In my 40k fanfic continuity, in my story, Secret War: The Annihilation Plague thr main character is a secular and pragmatic Inquisition Throne Agent and I loved writing the dynamic between him and his master and the Adepta Sororitas and their draconian, idealistic, puritan perspective. That was a lot of fun to write.

I'm sure the Eldar can be fun. Part of the fun of 40k is picking your faction and being mean to everyone whose not that faction. Honestly I think the Eldar were handled really well in the game. They felt just alien enough. I can understand why you like them. Even if they are filthy knife ears.

I honestly did not like the feats/skill system in the game. It felt like a ton of the feats were like "gain 1/100 x per bonus/companion agi % to your next use of _____ ability during the 3rd round of combat" which left me noting that the feat was either incredibly worthless, arbitrarily complex, or I was too much of a stupid monke to grasp fundamental concepts within the combat system. Then the skill system was set up in such a way that I was passing nearly every skill check merely by diversifying my party enough. I also feel like space combat was a minigame that should have been worked on a bit more.
    Spoiler Alert:
I was also incredibly peeved because when I first met the inquisitorial agent I said to myself "this guy is corrupt and I don't trust him at all." so I decided not to let him use corrupted technology to see the arch enemies plans. This got me berated by the inquisitor himself who insisted that I was wrong for thinking I knew better than his hand picked agent. Not even 5 seconds later his agent tells me go to a space station to ambush some xenos.... I say "obvious trap is obvious" but hey, the inquisitor said his agent was basically infallible as the god emperor himself so off we go. Low and behold I wake up in a BDSM dungeon. You better bet your ass I left that imbecile to rot there too. Just as I was escaping the arena I got one of my characters clipped into a wall and unable to move which rendered the save unplayable and caused me to put the game down. I will surely play again but I think I will wait for the DLC.

It does need a little work. The feats perk system is a bit too dense at times. It took me far too long to figure out what would actually help.

To be fair, there is quite some reason to *not* like Argenta as an interest since she is very much a total nut-jub fanatic.
My picks would probably be the pirate lady "with decades of experience" for my dude and the inquisitor for my dudette. All the other options are simply too flawed or fetishy as romances.
