New Theory: He got so caught up in trying to foreshadow "The Butler Did It" that he completely forgot to solidly say what it was the proberbial Butler did. Now, he has to consume every bit of ASOIAF fan theory content to in make sense of all the plotlines he's written.
I finished A Storm of Swords over the last week and a half and it’s dawned on me that there’s only two books left. So, I’m taking a break to let my thoughts on book 3 sit for a while and to draw out the series for me. Personally, I hold a little hope we’ll see Winds, but I don’t know about A Dream of Spring. Hopefully George has a successors and notes to go off of so we can see the end of the story in case he croaks. Peace ✌🏻
Imagine Martin having the work morale of Eiichiro Oda
I just picture morally gray Brandon Sanderson.

(Dabs in old velaryon)
my theory: D and B ruining the hbo series so spectacularly robbed George of passion for his own work. They wrote so poorly that the magic got lost
I could see something like that killing your love of a series. It's like having your spouse cheat on you, then flaunt it.
People say that Grrm owes us the last 2 books, while others say the opposite.
What do you believe?
I really want that sixth book, but I can't say he owes us more than he owes himself to finish the seires.

It's been said that if he dies he is having his notes and incomplete works burned.
@@ahdhwjdue8362 Well crap. That would suck.
You can skip at least the last book, it completely loses the plot. I'm referring to the Dance of Dragons, not the WoW.
I wish they had waited to make the tv series until the book series ended
Me too, but it seemed a safe bet. He just needed to finish two books in seven years
