Paint the bullbar black or raptor it black would look so good and a black tray thats level with the car would suit much better, a cheap dog box/tool box would look sick aswell! keen to see how this turns out
Storm trooper theme is always a winner, tubs are cheep and easy for these and look mad with a chop. Love that the content on this channel is relatable and realistic. 👌🏽
I liked the headboard on it tbh, I thought you might just put a body lift on the cab to match the height a little better! Using the money from selling the tray shouldn't count in the 2k. I think most off us think 2k out of pocket is the budget!
Its amazing what a set of offset rims can do. It probably feels better around corners too. I always thought replacing headlights with non standard units (LED) makes the car yellow canary material? Interested because my Jack's lights are almost flickering they are so old :) The tray, yeah, its too wide, good luck with finding a replacement and selling the existing one. Paint on the bullbar is like lipstick on a pig I reckon. Maybe put the $ in a get a nicer BB? My Jack runs torsion bar front too, so if you do any work on yours, it'd be great to get some detailed info on adjusting them and setting them up.
solid axle swap and 35s flex weapon when ur done with the budget build would be sick to see something like that out with tj and mackas old girls as well
Love to see a new tray painted black and also chop the sides of the bullbar and make the hoops come on a bit more of a angle to give it a aggressive look like a muzz bar then paint it black
Gotta love the old tritons, i got an old mk triton, painted all my barwork and rimes black to match the trim and looks dardy, defs a cheap mods to do that makes it look 10 times better
The ol MJ triton, used to have one of these, unfortunately had to part with it because 5th gear's bearing started to whine, and then before I could get it rebuilt the entire gearbox blew up, oil was a metallic paste. If yours faces a similar fate, grab a box out of the same era Pajero with the same 4d56, it's got a different denomination on the vin plate, it's stronger as a whole and tends to hold up better if previous owners have towed in 5th gear a lot
I dont think selling the tray or wheel is cheating, its more like what anyone would do and you would get more cash from selling it rather than scrapping it, As for the rest of the car, I rekon sand and clear coat the indicator lenses and some roofracks and weather sheilds. paint the bullbar black and it would look tuff as! keep up the great work!!
How good do those headlights look 👀 👍🏽. Very cool mate. I think that that’s ok if you sell the tray off the Tritton and put the money to a new one for it.
I was just writing a comment telling you to sell the tray and wheels so you can recoup the costs and put back into the car. Then you ask the question 😂 it's not cheating, that's budget 101 👌❤️
Yeah buddy looking good , keeping my eye out for those lights , for my Triton single cab , smaller black tray black bull bar , would look mint I reckon .. take care mate :)
Depending on where you’re located I have a steel dual cab tray for a mk triton I’m selling, I’m in Horsham Victoria if ya keen, she needs a grind and paint though
Hey mate, I'm looking to buy the same headlights and had assumed that the LED daytime running lights worked automatically when you plug the lights in. What do you need to do to get them to work? Because I have no idea, cheers.
Sell coal to build up the triton. More family friendly and more relatable too more people which would make this channel more popular. We all follow for the car builds. The nav, the patrol now a triton
those trays are very modular,....trim the floor panels down and re-attachth sides n brackets..... narrow tray for the price of a cutting wheel. lovin tha content mate 👌
Looks fricken awesome bro! Regarding the tray they are usually made up of extrusions, equal angles and unequal angles so you can disassemble/slide apart and cut down the width of the deck panels and associated trims etc, this would be free or at worst the cost of angle grinder blades... just a thought, loving the content on this mitzi gem 😎
Great buy, I quite like the Tritons, though I'm more of a fan of the LN106 Toyota Hilux, one of my younger brothers has recently purchased and modified one and I love it. I reckon you should buy a decent bullbar for the Triton and a winch as well or raptor coat the current bullbar and add a toolbox/dogbox on your new tray (I saw in another comment thread that you've recently bought a new one.) Keep up the great work and content. I'll probably buy my brother a sticker from your store for his LN106.
The ln106 is a rig and a half, the price of them has gone up dramatically latley! Thanks for the advise and I’m keen to see that sticker on ya brothers riiig!!
you mentioned you want to keep it legal being a daily, do you think you'll be ok with headlights? i want to do mine but can't afford a defect. what state are you in? I'm WA. Also i raptor rattle canned all my bar work, very expensive. recommend going with the kits if you have a decent compressor.
Finally a real budget build!!
Selling the tray definitely ain’t cheating!
Yeww! Thanks for the comment mate!
Can you also sell the old rims to go towards new tyres even if its $50...
Like every other budget rig but it’s actually on a budget not 5k now and 20k later on
For sure mate! Needs to be a true budget rig!
Paint the bullbar black or raptor it black would look so good and a black tray thats level with the car would suit much better, a cheap dog box/tool box would look sick aswell! keen to see how this turns out
That sounds bloody mint!!

You're a pro at custom trays. Sweet timber deck tray would be mint
Selling bits is not cheating, I'd sell the HUD too
How good would a custom tray be!
@@RoamLyfe nothing too extreme but make it stand out, just as economical, but time consuming
I started a budget build on my Defender, looks great but turned into a massive blow out budget build. Headlights were essential. Triton looks great!

Selling old parts is not cheating. Its a cost effective way to make your budget more effective.
Mint!!!!
solid axle swap and 35s flex weapon when ur done with the budget build would be sick to see something like that out with tj and mackas old girls as well
Mint work bro. Satin black the bullbar, black tray and custom 4 inch snork and she'll be beaut. Cheers
So keen for a snorkel!! 🤘🤘
@@RoamLyfe a troy candy snorkel?

Hey mate... get a wheel alignment, it will drive much better.
Got one after this episode!! Helps heaps!
Awesome truck, had one of these in a single cab few years back..never let me down. She look great.
Chop the headlight hoops off the bar and polish it up for something different!
looking good, I reckon spray painting the bull bar black would look good
Yeah that’s on the plans!
Gotta love the old tritons, i got an old mk triton, painted all my barwork and rimes black to match the trim and looks dardy, defs a cheap mods to do that makes it look 10 times better
With your fab skills mate nock up a custom tray to suit your needs, some tint would be the go aswell other than that she looks mint mate well done
Painting the bull bar black would look nice
So keen for that!
Put led parkers and blinkers in bullbar, Remove the parkers neat to headlights amd put in checker plate instead would look dope
Tint the windows, perfect weekend job and defs need it for a daily driver. 🤘🏻
Yep that’s on the list!!
Not the best way to spend the budget but some custom period correct cab decals would look mint! Break up all of that white 👌
Yeah that’s actually a bloody dope idea!!

True budget and affordable build dude!

Looks good, front bar would look good black.
Yeah for sure! Keen to black it out hey!!
You should try find a second hand tub tray to put on it because that would look sick
Yeah I did look but can’t find one!!
I think it would look good with a tub and a uhf also maybe a light bar and reverse light. Love the vids 👌🤙
Thanks legend!!
Love the idea brother! A true budget build
Maybe Paint the bar black and have a crack at tinting the windows yourself 👌
I’d love to try and tint it myself hey! Would be a bit of a mission but could be pretty fun!

Epic build! Just wondering how many km's does this rig have on it? and how much did the engine problems take to fix?
Looks way better good stuff. spraying the tray or a future tray in raptor rattle cans would be good to watch and see how good it turns out. cheers
Will for sure be spraying the tray!!
On a budget - cheeky raptor coat on the alloy bar, and sneak a marketplace winch behind it. Just in case.
Sounds like a plan!!
Awesome work brah!
Jheeeez she scrubbed alright, looks a million times better 🔥🔥

definitely a new tray, but looking good with the new mods 👍
nice video mate👍👍...those lights are mint as i have em on my ln106 so yeah they are mint and chage the look of the front of the car
Such a good upgrade and they where super cheap!
It's more a question of 'should it be done' rather than 'can it be done'
And the answer to that is “yes” haha
That old girl is sweet. Love the build vid mate. And yes, put any money you get from the tray back into said budget. 👍🍺
Thanks for the comment!
I have been looking for a cheaper Triton, where do you find them? The Triton looks great.
Personally font like Ute's without head boards but to each his own the ute looks mint
tbh i love the headlights on this, wondering if this is the same as my 04 MK and if they're stock or aftermarket?
Aaaaaye been waiting to see the mighty trighty
Haha Yeww!!
I reckon Whatever profit you make off of the triton you can put back into it
Been waiting for this series brother yeeeew. Hopefully diesel will finally pull his weight 😂

Some etching primer + $40 can of raptor for the bulbar next yeah?

Old mate Harry sneaking a lung buster. I bet he's hiding that from his other half.
Hahaha Lung buster 😂😂
Looking good. But seriously, if you're looking for a home for it (one that would take it wheeling again) look no further than my way.....
Led headlight are illegal here in nz as well never understood it tho new car have them but you can't put them on an old one. Also paint the bar black?
Hey mate, I'm looking to buy the same headlights and had assumed that the LED daytime running lights worked automatically when you plug the lights in. What do you need to do to get them to work? Because I have no idea, cheers.
You need to find an ignition source that is 12v when your turn your key to “on” then tap into that and connect to the extra spade connector
Could do with some new indicator lenses, they look a little dull next to the led head lights.
Yeah they do hey!! Cheers mate

I have a deposit on it mate, still waiting on the money!
Shame you live so far away I would have bought the tray
love all your builds there awesome
