I like your videos. You seem very sincere and honest. I bought the A07 Max based mainly on your reviews. I am astonished at how good it sounds! I have several good class AB amps to listen to, but the Aiyima sounds so good even with the stock op amps I am reluctant to switch to another amp. I wasn't expecting it to be so good! Thanks
You have the best quality sound samples on RUclips. I liked the AO7 the most. I think it sounded the clearest. I own two of them. One of them I drive a pair of Elac DBR62 and the other a pair of XTZ 99.26.
You have the best sound reproduction on RUclips. My television steaming dosen't do it justice. But its still great. Fantastic speakers and setup. I you ask to compare these three amps and I like the Aiyima A07 the best, however , not by much. It just sounded more define. But im 69yrs old and my hearing is not as good. The only thing that matters is what YOU think. I love my 07 too, with my 47 year old ears preferring it to the 07 Max in stereo mode. I guess the Max model shines in mono mode.
Well thank you very much. I just ordered a pair of Fosi Audio Za3 thanks to you. 😊 (Sold out on Amazon atm). You have the best audio of all live captures on RUclips (good speakers and good mics), but I have trouble hearing differences with this one. What I DO hear is that both are with standard opamps. I'm going to order some Audience SX55B opamps. I have a 40W translinear current amp, Amp60 from the same brand, that sounds as good as my 300B or Gato Amp150sc. Those 40W can drive my Magnepan 0.7 without problems. Sounds very open, wide and deep, detailed without any strain. I just want to try their opamps to see if they are just as good. I'm not using the Maggie's atm but my own build and designed FR dipoles with AMT supertweeter and subs. I don't need the power but the Gato gets expensive to run 12h a day.
i have za3 and a07 max , for me ,the fosi is better with my speakers which are proper 8 ohm (6.1 ohm at their lowest ). having said that , i think either amp is quite exceptional and they have lifted the bar in budget home audio. with my old art stiletto 6 speakers , the fosi is proving to be more of what i need , but with different speakers the a07 max might be superior . I'm keeping both for further fun and experimentation . 😃
Reading the comment you realize why they make so many different products. I felt the A07 max dual made that saxophone really come alive. But in the end it's all preference. Great video.
So happy you made theses videos with so good music samples, at first i've found my A07 Max excellents but a little bit sibilants, i replaced the opamps with Akliam LC5 discrete class A opamps because they where way less expensive than Sparkos or Burson, I was curious how they could sound, if chinese companies can produce such incredibly good cheap amplifiers, why not discrete opamps also? So happy how they sound, i can't stop listening music! They don't fit in the case and need extenders, so i use them without the Aiyima's cases waiting i modify them. I hope you will try these Akliam and include it on your opamps war, i'm curious about how they compare with the masters ;-) Thanks for your excellent work!
i use this little amp for the bass cabinet, which is like a tank-20mm plywood with slate panels braced in the full length of all corners. with a $50 a piece 8 inch woofers it can honestly easily compare with systems priced $15k , amp+speakers. The second amp i use for mids/highs is Nobsound B100. Cannot complain, but most likely KT88 valves will sound even more spacious
Great review and a surprisingly good sounding amplifier for super low cost. I see this one is supplied with a 36Volt 6Amp power supply so 216watt and not the 48volt version can I ask what 48volt power supply would you recommend pairing with this amplifer? I have a low power 16watt 300b tube based system thats running a pair of Zingali speakers the sound is very open and natural but lacks a little base control and punch so would love to try this amplifer to power the base section of the speakers as the Zingali have two sets of binding posts one for upper/mids and the other for the base so I could run two of these in mono mode just to control the base of each speaker and use the volume control to control the level of the base what do you think?
Great test. I just got a Aiyima A07 Max and its very good sounding. If i have a tight budget, should i only get 2 Sparkos opamp upgrade for one Aiyima in stereo ,, or should i get a second A07 Max for dual Mono with original opamps ?
The max runs cirkels around the old a07, so much better components used. When are you going to do some reviews with Chinese discrete opamps? Really interested in your opinion 😄

Hello my friend, sorry for the late response. I have purchase new headset, mine all were broken by my kids. I do agree with your comments that Aiyima A07 MAX in stereo mode sounded the best with best holographic sound stage, followed by mono mode. But I personally will not use them on a 60k system, also it is got to do with synergy with Eversolo DMP A6 Master Edition, I personally prefer Eversolo amp, also we audiophiles tend to upgrade our gear and you will not get anything for Aiyima in second hand market.
You need to try the Fosi ZA3, even their V3. I have a pair of these Z07 Max units on order, they should be here in an hour or two. The V3 is blowing me away. My buddy just received his ZA3 and cannot believe what he is hearing, and this guy is an audiophile in the truest sense. He has gear that makes my eyes water, I think you will be impressed. ;-)

I have several amps, from tubes (300b, kt88 etc) to my new expensive 150W Gato class A(B). I have used a cheap $300 40W Chinese amp for years now. It's hard to tell if the Gato is better. But build and features are so much better. I also have been using class D for a decade now (starting with the Tripath TA21). Very good, small amps. Now I'm using a Infineon based SMSL A8 (modded) under my bed that can drive Maggies easily. But I can't plug in all my gear (DAC, streamer, 3 turntables) at once. So I needed a switchbox. So many small boxes and cables. Several small plastic remotes. Now I have one amp that does it all and has a gorgeous rounded metal remote that just works great. So just on sound quality (and on your electric bill) you can save a lot of money. But at some point when you found out what you like you'll want to look for synergy to lift your system to the next level. PS: you do need good speakers that scale well. Ie: no cheap filters and softdome tweeters.

OK maybe you can answer what everyone else who reviews two bridged A07 Max amps (one for each speaker) avoids. Done that and it works fine but how do I connect my single active subwoofer? The aux out on each amp is stereo so if I use only one of the aux outs (from left or right amp) I will get bass from only one channel and there will be bass on the other channel also that won't be sent to the sub. Most of the 3.5mm 2 male jacks to 1 female are for phones so one male is for the speaker and the other for the microphone so they don't work (I tried) and in any case I have read that using a simple splitter (2 male stereo to 1 female stereo) is not a good idea as at best it reduces the overall volume and may cause damage. My sub has speaker level inputs, which I would prefer to use, but when I connect the sub cable to the same bananas as the main speakers (8 ohm) , the amps don't work, why is that when the speaker level inputs on the sub are 1k ohm so that should make minimal difference to the total impedance and certainly not below 4 ohm which the amps are rated fror? So my question is once I have the A07 max in mono mode and one is driving the left and the other the right speaker, how do I connect my single subwoofer?
Hmm that is very interesting and strange that the amps with high level sub inputs do not work. If you tested that and it really sucks 😔 I'd go for a mini Jack to RCA cables for each amp connect both amps left and right to the subwoofer line inputs. You can probably even get mono minijack terminated with single RCA plug.
@@VirtualHiFiYes the aux out on the amps (using mono TS jacks to RCA) will work but then the volume will not increase with the increased volume from the amps, but that's that's OK, the main speakers (Tannoy M20 Gold MK2) have a reasonable amount of bass so a little support from the sub is all that is needed. However I want to use the sub with my home cinema AVR as well and connecting both A07 Max and AVR at the same time with the RCAs reduces the volume considerably. I made a switch box for the Tannoys, so I've now ordered something similar for the sub. I am puzzled as to why the A07 Maxs won't work when I connect them to the speaker level inputs on the sub as well as the Tannoys, it worked perfectly well with the Arcam Alpha 2 (Speaker load impedance: 4Ω (minimum)).
Hello, the speakers are Qualio IQ. I tested those speakers with many amplifiers even up to 20000$ an year ago I bought Naimsupernait 3 and for now I like the Fosi ZA3 more

@@VirtualHiFi Po pierwszych odsłuchach na zmienionych opampach na chińskie pół pasywne Oracle II. Rzeczywiście bas jest punchy, a sopran ładny, bez woalu, średnica lekko wycofana. Taka delikatna v-ka. Jak na klasę D, a kilka juz miałem, gra świertnie. Lepiej się sprawdza na sypialnianym systemie z elacami 203.2 na jetach, jednak przy powrocie na strussa s-2 słychać cenę,Polak ma nasycenie, skalę i zapas mocy. W komputerowym, na szybko, lepiej wypasł smsl ao100-okazuje się że nie jest taki zły. Aiyima spokojnie może zastąpić tranzystory do 1-2 k PLN...moim zdaniem.
I'm not sure if I opted for the 48v power supply instead of the 36v. Any opinions? Do you know if it's worth opting for the GaN version? I read that they negatively affect the sound and bass.
I replaced power supplies today with two 48v 10 amp. To me Ayima is crazy not to make that std offering or dial in the optimum with the value they are sitting on. Appears initially to be transformative and allow big sound at lower volumes. Still haven’t swapped op amps but will. I was worried about line noise but don’t hear any. Try them😎
i have the a07 max and za3 , driving the art stiletto 6 speakers , true 8 ohm design , the za3 is proving to be the winner for me , but the a07 max is also good , and the 'better' amp is only obvious when they are both present for a,b testing with my speakers . the za3 has more bass power and plays more consistently at high volumes . all comparison was done with the same 36v 6a supply and same 2 dacs , 3 turntables and 3 phono stages , the za3 just kept being more addictive and inviting , 'to me and my preference ' .

Hi, new sub here. Great work, I’ve been watching all of your videos from the past since I found your channel a couple of months ago. I like your style, right to the point, and especially, not only words and “opinions”, but with a sound demo that’s top of the line! I’ve an Aiyima A07 in which I rolled 2 MUSES02 op amps, and I love it! Last month I bought an A07 Max with 2 Sparkos SS3602, it’s absolutely overwhelming, my Elac DBR6.2 never sounded so good. The question is, I’m thinking of buying a second A07 Max and use both of them in mono, can I just put a single Sparkos op amp in the left channel of each amp or I need to get another 2 of them? Thanks a lot and keep up on the good work! Edit: I’ve seen the video where you swapped the op amps in the Fosi ZA3 and you specified that when using it in dual mono there’s no need to swap both of them but just the right one. I presume it must be the same for the A07 Max only difference being that the Aiyima uses the left channel in mono mode. But another question comes to mind now, can I leave the unused channel without any op amp at all just like you did with the Fosi?

The sound from A07 is smooth and each time it transitions to the Max I notice a harshness.

Go to 2 Aiyimas and upgrade the opamps later on. Don't cheap out on the Power supply. Get the 42-48V at least 5Amps ;)

My sub has speaker level inputs, which I would prefer to use, but when I connect the sub cable to the same bananas as the main speakers (8 ohm) , the amps don't work, why is that when the speaker level inputs on the sub are 1k ohm so that should make minimal difference to the total impedance and certainly not below 4 ohm which the amps are rated fror? So my question is once I have the A07 max in mono mode and one is driving the left and the other the right speaker, how do I connect my single subwoofer?
Hmm that is very interesting and strange that the amps with high level sub inputs do not work. If you tested that and it really sucks 😔 I'd go for a mini Jack to RCA cables for each amp connect both amps left and right to the subwoofer line inputs. You can probably even get mono minijack terminated with single RCA plug.
@@VirtualHiFiYes the aux out on the amps (using mono TS jacks to RCA) will work but then the volume will not increase with the increased volume from the amps, but that's that's OK, the main speakers (Tannoy M20 Gold MK2) have a reasonable amount of bass so a little support from the sub is all that is needed. However I want to use the sub with my home cinema AVR as well and connecting both A07 Max and AVR at the same time with the RCAs reduces the volume considerably. I made a switch box for the Tannoys, so I've now ordered something similar for the sub. I am puzzled as to why the A07 Maxs won't work when I connect them to the speaker level inputs on the sub as well as the Tannoys, it worked perfectly well with the Arcam Alpha 2 (Speaker load impedance: 4Ω (minimum)).
That is indeed very strange and should work without any issues since it's just as you said high impedance and should not affect anything.
You need to take the sub’s signal from your preamp.

Hello, the speakers are Qualio IQ. I tested those speakers with many amplifiers even up to 20000$ an year ago I bought Naimsupernait 3 and for now I like the Fosi ZA3 more

@@VirtualHiFi Po pierwszych odsłuchach na zmienionych opampach na chińskie pół pasywne Oracle II. Rzeczywiście bas jest punchy, a sopran ładny, bez woalu, średnica lekko wycofana. Taka delikatna v-ka. Jak na klasę D, a kilka juz miałem, gra świertnie. Lepiej się sprawdza na sypialnianym systemie z elacami 203.2 na jetach, jednak przy powrocie na strussa s-2 słychać cenę,Polak ma nasycenie, skalę i zapas mocy. W komputerowym, na szybko, lepiej wypasł smsl ao100-okazuje się że nie jest taki zły. Aiyima spokojnie może zastąpić tranzystory do 1-2 k PLN...moim zdaniem.
I'm not sure if I opted for the 48v power supply instead of the 36v. Any opinions? Do you know if it's worth opting for the GaN version? I read that they negatively affect the sound and bass.
I replaced power supplies today with two 48v 10 amp. To me Ayima is crazy not to make that std offering or dial in the optimum with the value they are sitting on. Appears initially to be transformative and allow big sound at lower volumes. Still haven’t swapped op amps but will. I was worried about line noise but don’t hear any. Try them😎

i have the a07 max and za3 , driving the art stiletto 6 speakers , true 8 ohm design , the za3 is proving to be the winner for me , but the a07 max is also good , and the 'better' amp is only obvious when they are both present for a,b testing with my speakers . the za3 has more bass power and plays more consistently at high volumes . all comparison was done with the same 36v 6a supply and same 2 dacs , 3 turntables and 3 phono stages , the za3 just kept being more addictive and inviting , 'to me and my preference ' .

Fosi za3 is much better, aiyima sound like a class d amp, fosi is realy good sound is fuller, more detail better seperation ! If you want a aiyima take de 08 pro ! But better buy the fosi za3 !

I’ve an Aiyima A07 in which I rolled 2 MUSES02 op amps, and I love it!
Last month I bought an A07 Max with 2 Sparkos SS3602, it’s absolutely overwhelming, my Elac DBR6.2 never sounded so good.
The question is, I’m thinking of buying a second A07 Max and use both of them in mono, can I just put a single Sparkos op amp in the left channel of each amp or I need to get another 2 of them?

Edit: I’ve seen the video where you swapped the op amps in the Fosi ZA3 and you specified that when using it in dual mono there’s no need to swap both of them but just the right one.
I presume it must be the same for the A07 Max only difference being that the Aiyima uses the left channel in mono mode.
But another question comes to mind now, can I leave the unused channel without any op amp at all just like you did with the Fosi?
