Hello prim friends! My name is Gabriella Moir, welcome to our channel, @Thecapeonthecorner at Tweedthistle Farms, where we love to explore antique shops and homes that are filled with history in early American antiques and primitives that also go well in farmhouse decor and decorating. We are sharing the building process too as we build our forever home, a Cape Cod style home on our 5+ acres in Ohio where we also have a specialty cut flower farm. Follow along as we share daily life of starting seeds and planting seedlings for the cutting garden, establish new landscaping near our home to try to give it that early look and feel. In the growing season we'll be starting a kitchen herb garden and so much more. Keep watching!

I am 5 minutes from there. I live on the PA side of the line. We love history here! Kinsman, Burghill, Vernon all of the whole area is full of history. So many beautiful locally owned small business full of historical finds. It's worth a drive through our Amish country, for sure.
Another great video!
Thank you! Looking forward to seeing you and Dave again soon.
I love it
Beautiful place. Love the clock
It really is!
Finally, a real antique shop! Thanks, this is your best video so far!
We are so blessed in Ohio with some fabulous true antique shop!
Late in viewing this video but again, well done! So relaxing and something to think about for next spring..... a trip to Ohio!
Glad you enjoyed it!
New viewer here
Welcome! Thanks for watching!
I just loved the large carved bird tree, I see them sometimes here in PA at the Kutztown show I do .I also love all the redware and crocks, everything is so fantastic!
I really liked that too. So many treasures!
Great video of a shop just filled with wonderful items! Thanks
It sure is, I could take one of each!
Breadboard ends are to keep the large one board top from warping
Good to know! Thanks for watching!
I discovered your channel at the end of December after Christmas maybe even early January. I've been trying to watch your videos from oldest to newest. It has taken me 4 tries to finish this video because your soothing voice keeps putting me to sleep. Hahaha. You should start a youtube channel reading children's books aloud. Your voice would be perfect for it.

What a fun idea!
I too love your videos and you sharing your family’s history. I now realize that I’m drawn to Rustic and Primitive homes and items, I just had our family genealogy done to verify my lineage, they confirmed that my mothers family were some of the first American settlers in the New England states.
These are fun videos, I get so many ideas and I can not wait until your new home is finished 🤗💕
Me too!! Can't wait! It will definitely be a work in process adding things over time. We're waiting on drywall finishing now!
Wont make it to the open house, but I appreciate your promotion of it. I loved seeing the samplers. Truly, every video is a joy. Keep up the wonderful work.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Going to try to make it this weekend. There were so many beautiful pieces…..but that black banister back chair.❤
I know exactly which one you're referring to, gorgeous! This should be much closer to you!
@@Thecapeonthecorner It is, but I like the vibe better at Seville. This place was very museum like. I appreciate the quality and craftsmanship, but very museum-like. I will definitely check it out. I loved the cupboard of primitive smalls. It took me 3 days to watch video while watching the baby at the same time. On our way home tomorrow.
I just love your videos and plan on visiting this summer. I love all the history and learn a lot from your videos about some of the pieces as well. Thank you so much for the video tours. I checked out how far the shops are from me and only 5 hrs away. So we’ll make a weekend of it! Thank you.😊❤
So glad you're enjoying them! Always a good idea to call the week you're expecting to be traveling to be sure specific shops are open. Lots of shows still upcoming!
@@Thecapeonthecorner I will thank you keep them videos comin i enjoy them! 👍🏼
Thank you so much for this amazing tour, so many beautiful and unusual pieces. I particularly loved all those long case clocks and the cabin was simply breathtaking, it amazes me how you move entire houses over there, the times I've wished I could move mine - the joy of wooden houses! Really, really enjoyed seeing this.
Glad you enjoyed it! I'm always so impressed with those who have the courage to take on a project to move a building like this. No small feat!
So fun watching this video. Thanks for the tour! I love everything but liked the black cat, blue standing basket with the lid and the sweet teddy bear sitting on a chair waiting for someone to take him home.
Roadtrip!
I just can’t describe how much I enjoy watching your videos. I can’t get enough of these beautiful authentic primitive antiques. What a history lesson they convey. We live too far away to come to the open house but we are planning a trip that way this summer. Thank you again for your hard work in giving us this eye candy so we have a better understanding of early American antiques.
Thank you for watching and for your kind words. Hope I get a chance to say hello when you come out this way!
Love love these video’s!!!!!!! I could move right in the small house !!!! Furniture is beautiful!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!!♥️
Isn't it charming??!! I agree completely!
LOVED this tour so much. I hope you keep going back every few months to show us the new primitive antiques. Love your channel and what you do. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
That's the plan! Thanks for watching, don't hesitate to share our videos!
Thank you for the tour! I’ve never seen so many amazing pieces together in a shop! It’s hard to believe you are touring a shop and not a museum!
Just amazing 😀
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. To think all those pieces can come home with you too!
Lighting seems fine, everything coming through beautifully.
Thank you. My camera was acting up and "my" screen was showing dark. Thankfully the video came out just fine. I was essentially taping in the dark!
Another amazing shop. We have put this on the top of our list to visit this fall. Thank you for sharing this beautiful place.
Fabulous video love the building & all the exquisite antiques .

My husband and I were at the December open house and loved everything in this shop although it wasn't fully finished upstairs . We purchased a banister back chair , some awesome stone fruit and of course an Arnett Santa . I see some amazing pieces in your video so I will be at the open house plus the Hudson antiques show !
I'll be at the openhouse on Friday if all goes as planned!
This was a wonderful "come along" ....I wished I could go to the open house....these were true antiques! I will watch over and over again! I appreciate your kindness and hard work to present this to us!

How can I contact Hartford House I’m looking for a hutch table. although I didn’t see one on your video today. They may know something. Yes, thanks for the eye candy.
What a great shop. What are their regular hours?
They do have a page on fb you could check there. Enjoy!!
How does one contact Hartford House Antiques? Love the video!
They do have a fb page.
@@Thecapeonthecorner Thank you!
I see no information on FB about Hartford House Antiques. No phone or open times. Did find out by stopping by from sign that they are only open on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm. I would try to get there before 1pm, however, because the young man minding the business the day I stopped was ready to turn the lights off at 3pm ??? He was out of there by the time my wife and I got to our car. We didn’t even get to see the house across the road because there was no one there. They have nice things but came away unimpressed. If you are only open one day a week at least have someone at both establishments and be willing to be there for the times listed. If we had gotten there 10 minutes later than we did I am sure it would have been closed.
