If you've noticed your view count increase I found your channel last week. and have been enjoying all of your videos you are excellent at filming slowly and your voice is soothing. I live in Oregon and we have 0.0001 percentage of Primitives here. Many things you've talked about I've never heard of. I've worked at antique stores for 30 years.

After discovering your channel, I have been going back through many of your videos and getting re-inspired. I had lost interest and I've just been living with my antiques and not antique shopping. To jump start, after being inspired, I ordered some rolled bees wax tapers to replace some battery-operated candles. I'm tired of replacing batteries or needing to recharge some of them. Anyway, my interest renewed, I am on the hunt for just the right early, antique, lidded wall box or apothecary/spice cupboard. 👍

The gardens in this video are beautiful, and the stone walls remind me of New Hampshire (where I live now). I was born in Ohio but have not lived there in 30 years. I remember going to the Zoar and Hudson antique shows with my Mother (Hudson when the show was in Hudson). I have also been to Meander Hill when Jack was still living and the Pine Tree Barn. I bought a Betty Lamp and a really good old duck decoy at the Hartville Flea market, back when you could find some decent antique primitives there, probably 40 years ago, before they relocated the flea market. Ah, the memories!

Yes! I love how this house is furnished. Not cluttered with unrealistic numbers of each and every item, so much so that you cannot see much wall or floor. Slightly staged in places, but looking much like how people live(ed). I also love the trim color and white walls and the built-in shelving.

I enjoy all of your excursions looking for primitives and touring shows, shops, homes, and barns, but the conversation you had with this lovely man was more precious than any 'find'. Loved the 12 over 12 windows in the home he built.

So many lovely antique primitives in your area. I have to wait for the New Hampshire Antique Show, in Manchester, NH, every August, to find nice primitives. There are a few shops, within reasonable driving distance for me, where I have found a few things over the years. I don't like an overly cluttered house though. So, when something comes in, something usually goes out (upgrade).

Gabriella, I'm collecting antique open hearth cooking tools!! I would love a good metal rack with hooks to hang them from! I have them hanging on a wood piece right now. I was surprised to see antiques at that million dollar home!!

Bring on the root canal! Yep, hate clothes shopping. ...and even if I find something that ends up being a favorite, and I go back for another one to have when the new one wears out...there aren't anymore, and never will be. 😠 Sooo tired of 'fast fashion' and the crappy fabrics and weird styles. What happened to the classics, in the in between sizes? Not size 2 and not size 22. ...and, right, now the hair.

Amazing! I was gifted a Ridgeway curio clock for my 5th wedding anniversary of Wood, back in 1992, it has never stopped running except when we moved it from Ontario to New Brunswick Canada. It has been the heartbeat of our home. So sad to hear how heirlooms are not the treasures they once were. Our home is a modern living museum with antique heirlooms throughout our home & used daily, fondly remembering who they came from. Those are amazing tall wooden clocks!

Hoarder? Collector? Whichever. Prices seemed high. My Lord! If each item had only been a dollar, that sale would have made a million dollars. Soooo much stuff! After the sale, the house could breathe again.

Enjoyed this greatly. Always been a fan of grandfather clocks. Benners (Riverbend chairs) in Lebanon Ohio still makes a very good looking clock.

I love old clocks. I don't have this many but I have quite a few and I just can't say no when I see one that needs saving - like some people and stray dogs. My most recent acquisition was a 24 hour tall case German mechanism and dial from the 1790s I rescued from a rickety table at a yard sale right before it started raining. I got it because I already had an early 1800s pine case that someone had put a quartz mechanism in I saved from a thrift store. It fit perfectly! $200 bill from the clockmaker for cleaning and getting me a pendulum and weights for it, $50 for the case, and $30 for the mechanism. I love it!

Amazing!! Here is a what I think is a great idea for such a collection of history. A copy of period original map of good size and on that map the where the clock ended up at marked on that map hanging with all of those Amazing Clocks. If that is even possible.

What a wonderful source of history!!! As I was watching, I noticed that all of the tall clocks had a tombstone top to the clock face but that the shelf clocks did not have this. Any reason for this? Was it dictated by the shape of the clock works?
