I wish more people would drive around like you if they had time. There are so many women and children' centers that could use so much that you show on the curb. I saw so much in this video alone in like the first minute! There are places set up like stores where they can shop for free for home décor items and stuff like dishes, pots and pans. silverware, glasses and so on. The basic start up and needed stuff that costs so much! It is recycling too 😉. That bowling ball alone could mean the WORLD to a child from a low income family who is on a team and doesn't have his own. Much cheaper to fill and re-drill than buy new if needed! Bless you Paul for all you do by keeping so much out of the landfills! I know, we can't save the world but so hard to see how much is just tossed! Thanks for doing your part!! Not easy work and you more than earn every cent!!

@@MrScrappity I know you were not being rude but usually at a young age there are no league costs as at the time they are not on one. It is a school sports program or private activity outside of the schools that provides the basics needed to just learn. Run on a very tight budget. You would be surprised at how many sports held inside school buildings are not funded by the schools. They just provide the space and "name" and the rest up to them. Often meeting space has to be rented also. It was just a thought. I agree...you just can't but many sure could do more than thy do and won't cost them anything but a little time. OK, maybe a little gas money too which I am aware is not cheap now or ever. Just a crazy thought.
Hey Paul. Good to see you're feeling better with your shoulder. That piece of scrap metal you picked up that you mentioned that it might be a bookrack or something is a hose rack as I have one almost identical to it. You push it down near your faucet and your wrap your hose over it

I have been meaning to say this for ages. Michael, the young man at the scrap yard, is such a hard working member of staff. Always busy, looking for ways to ensure the smooth running of the business. I just hope he is appreciated by his employer. You and I have similar opinions on corporations. Having worked in quarrying for 46 years (now retired), with 16 years working in a busy weighbridge (weighstation), Michael would have been an ideal co worker. I always watch your videos right to the end, I don't switch off the prayers.

Paul, I adopted a new fur friend last August, so we are still getting acquainted. A couple weeks ago, we were out, and I stopped to take a picture of some daffodils, she saw something, and pulled me right over, when she took off, trying to chase it. I got bruised and scraped pretty good. Dear Lord, thank you for Paul!
When I rescued my pit she had really bad ear infections it was so bad she had scratched her ears raw. Cleaning them was painful for her and me. I ended giving her to a really close friend because me and my family was moving plus a baby on the way. My friend got her all taken care of and she's loving life.
I have a foldable basket with the handles, I was sending you messages, take it, take it, you'll love it!!! All the plant stands, pots etc having to do with outside I want!!!!
I have just started watching your videos and look forward to them. I was wanting to jump through to some of your stops and the small desks, the chess and game boards were so cute and the little cube shelving unit. I would have had so much fun repurposing or just refinishing them. And then the cute little unicorn pony was adorable and if it was in good condition would have been donatable. I would have so much fun going on a run!!
When you commented that "this place was packed yesterday," suggesting it was empty today, I was hoping that meant Michael had finally come to his senses and cashed in the yard. Red China is faced with a crumbling economy and looming food shortage, so they're going to be desperate soon, and unload their minerals on the market at fire-sale prices--and this is new stuff, not scrap. As soon as they hit the market, prices of scrap will plummet, and the cost of having the stuff hauled away will be more than whatever one could get from it. Everyone needs to pay more attention to the global situation.
Oh now, anybody reading any big-city newspaper can become aware of what's going on with Red China and their metal production.....in addition to a looming famine because they don't have the fertilizer needed. There's all sorts of crises elsewhere in the world that make living in an inflationary America a piece of cake. Now, Michael's firm has been around since 1916 or something, and grew and prospered because its then-owners kept abreast of what was going on. It's a mystery to me why any more they don't seem to watch events influencing the metal markets. You guys who go around collecting scrap and selling it the same day, or a day later, have the right idea. Get your cash, as much as possible, as quickly as possible.
@@ScrapPalletMan I'm not into financial stuff, but watched a recent video on the state of the Chinese economy. The government has guaranteed a lot of cut-priced loans to help developers build new housing to meet growing demand. Unfortunately, the biggest developers are unable to shift housing stock so are not even in a position to cover the interest on the loans.
I chickened out of the shoulder surgery a week before it happened. I'm glad I did because 18 months later, now, it feels so so much better. Like 90% better.

The government has guaranteed a lot of cut-priced loans to help developers build new housing to meet growing demand.
Unfortunately, the biggest developers are unable to shift housing stock so are not even in a position to cover the interest on the loans.

I chickened out of the shoulder surgery a week before it happened. I'm glad I did because 18 months later, now, it feels so so much better. Like 90% better.
