How much was your setup?
Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even ruclips.net/user/postUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

I got the system few days ago I did same thing you did but it's not working when I go to HDMI or DVR it's say no signal any advise?
Zosi systems are unpredictable. Two years ago. I bought a Zosi 4 wireless camera and DVR set, after two years, one camera burned out, (cause unknown) contacted Zosi, they could care less. A year later purchased a Zosi 8 wireless camera DVR set, after a year, one of the electrical power converters failed, (used a left over one from the 4 Camera set.) Also learned that the four cameras wont work with the 8 camera set and vice versa. Make sure all connections, including the Wi-Fi. are tight, ..for a good, guaranteed signal from DVR to Wi-Fi tower, use an ethernet cord, do not rely on wireless signals.

Cool! How is the low light quality of these cameras? Also with 16 cams that is a lot. You must be seeing pretty much every inch of your house lol.

I have a questions: Can you add a fan to the system: I know you can add hard drive. Although, my dvr gets warm: Im a little concern if it gets to hot and it could catch on fire? I open up my box there is couple wires that could be hook up one with hard drive not sure what the other wire is.

Can the system H.265+ 4K UHD DVR be desensitised it recognises every movement of everything it sees and I only want it to record a person on my property

As an amateur radio operator, cover outside connections with electrical tape. Power would be the critical one, as it is in no way watertight, but I suggest taping up the BNC connections as well
Besides waterproofing the runs, if you use black cabling, you can camouflage the runs by covering the bright connectors.
Use the cheap tape. It actually holds up to weather, while something like Scotch 33, will undo itself in warm weather.
Heat shrink tubing shall do decent outside for these

How do u get wires through that roof and in between the walls???
I got a Zosi camera that I am using to monitor only, not record. The problem is that the image blinks on and off. Is there a setting that makes this stop? Or do you have any idea why this is happening?

I have a question about this system. I just got it. Is this wizard screen accessible through some other way, other than hooking up to a monitor or tv-monitor? Because I just tried to view the one camera I put up on the app on my cell phone, to see how it's going before doing all of them, and on my cell phone the camera is looking extremely blurry. Is this how it looks on the cell phone app? Is that normal? And is a monitor required to view the camera clearly? Thank you.

Can you explain hooking up the sound to the system.
I just looked it up and basically the white connector from the mic unit plugs into the back of the hard drive. So a standard "twin cable" video/power will not work. You will need to run another (3 connector) cable from that camera to the hard drive.
The feature you mentioned that prevents the camera from recording every time a car drives by is very cool... Before I bought my place the previous owner had cameras that size. I found it creepy to have a camera staring at me in each room. I like the idea of a pinhole type camera better so I don't see it. Or a spy type camera where it's built into a light switch, a smoke alarm or something. Did you ever consider those other options? Just wondering.
I did consider covert cams, but the effectiveness of cameras lies in their visibility. If someone knows they are watched, they think twice.
Can you use this to broadcast live on facebook?
Can it record a video like for an hour. Save it and the send it to some one?

I purchased the Zosi camera system about two n' half years ago. I went with it cause a buddy of mine had it and i was sold on the clear video picture it displayed and all the other features. I was checking this video cause of whole ' nother issue I was having with my system but I learned alot while watching your video, bro. The alarm feature with the grid, I totally didn't know anything about that. That's cool, thanks for that.
Here's my issue, maybe you cant help me cause my wife is driving me bananas about it 😖 A few months ago all my cameras went out simultaneously. I thought the cameras burnt out but now I'm not so sure because the features and icons etc. on the screen still remain on display. I've tried re-setting, rebooting blah blah and nothing...

It is a cobweb. We’ll often let the occasional spider live in the corner. They are natural fly catchers and don’t harm anyone. Now if there were a spider in each corner I’d remove them, but if its just 1 or 2 in a corner I let them stay. I figure he just thinks I’m his roommate hanging out in his house. :)
Hey Vince, Great video My question is how did you finally decide on the brand Zosi, 2nd, Why did you go with the DVR instead of a NVR? The POE systems do cost a little bit more. was it just a matter of preference? I'm just curious is why I ask. I haven't as of yet decided exactly who's system I'm going to choose. I do know I will use the POE, NVR system. The thought didn't really occur to me until you said you purchased 2 8 camera systems for a total of 16. I wish Zosi had a hybrid wired/wireless system like another company out there offers, however they do not. As I would like a couple cameras on my garage, which is not attached to my home. Hi, I notice that you mentioned about hybrid wired/wireless system camera, I'm curious which brand has this kind of camera, if you can tell me, that will be nice.
The deciding factor was quality and price. The picture looked good and they were cheep. Plus the software had tons of features.
I ended up going with one 8 cam wired and one 8 cam wireless, but maybe Scott can chime in with the combo unit he saw.

how good is it at night?
Question. Installed all with no problem, but my camera # 3 on my monitor the imagine is upside down! Just camera #3 could you tell what’s wrong ! Thx
I had this problem too, the camera is actually upside down. You can unscrew the nut on the back and rotate the camera. If you want to maintain the logo and rain hood right side up, then you need to unscrew the housing and rotate the actual camera inside. Its not as difficult as it sounds. Hope this helps.
Did everything that you showed for connections got power to everything hdmi to monitor no picture. It was also sold to my wife with no recorder.do we need a router like the quick start guide says. I'm pretty disappointed. And I don't remember getting a regular manual.

OMG do all that wire still in the plastic rolled up has to be ran through out the house!!!!! looks like you would have to drill holes in the wall to the outside to hook this up ???

The hard drives ares crewed directly to the base of the DVR and thus get too hot. The cameras are said to be waterproof but the connectors are not, when water gets into a connector at the end of the 60ft cable the cable can melt/burn/fire because it is supplied by a 2A power unit -- this is NOT safe and Zosi whom we asked don't care a damn. The 2Mp, 5Mp and 8Mp/4k DVRs all record reliably BUT the USB connection routinely freezes/hangs and the DVR needs rebooting - this is a bad failure. Using remote camera viewing on a mobile is a futile undertaking if you ever get anything working it is extremely poor and unreliable and fails within minutes.
