Donna Loren in a High Quality Video live performance of "With the Wind and the Rain in Your Hair". This Shindig TV Show aired 2-24-65 and was one of 26 Shindig shows that Ms Loren appeared on as a regular. Written by Jack Lawrence & Clara Edwards, this song was made famous by Pat Boone.
Donna Loren was the one-and-only "Dr Pepper Girl" from 1963 to 1968. She was signed to a long-term contract with the soft-drink company to sing all television and radio commercials, do all magazine and billboard advertising representing them in every capacity, sometimes sharing the spotlight with American Bandstand's Dick Clark. This relationship led to her touring in Dick Clark's "Caravan of Stars" with other popular acts like Diana Ross and The Supremes and singing solos in the popular Beach Party films starring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon. Later, she became the regular female vocalist on the popular 60's American live rock n roll TV show "Shindig", and she appeared in singing and acting roles in many iconic TV shows like Batman, The Monkees, Gomer Pyle, The Mothers-In-Law, Red Skelton, Milton Berle and various Quiz and Game Shows. In the 60's she released 22 singles and an LP. She continues to sing and has released 5 CD's and multiple singles on all streaming services.

Two dates are listed for the airdate but I can confirm that this fantastic clip is from the Feb. 24, 1965 Shindig.

What a great time that era was. And when the paper sleeves in LPs had "rock stars", "country stars" AND people like Andy Williams, Judy Garland, and Barbra Streisand's albums advertised inside..

Very pretty song! Sounds like it could have been written in the 1940s. Miss Loren does a great dramatic and romantic rendition.
