Great video as always:) Fonts and putting them together is the hardest for me. Do you have a video that how to pair different fonts together? I have read and read about it but, still hard for me. Thank you so much:)
Hi Diane, sorry for the late answer: you simply write the Text you need, then switch to another tool, switch back to the text tool, click in another area of the canvas and select a different font. Now write the text and after that move them close together based on the needs of your design
@@OlivioSarikas I think Diane wats to know how to combine 2 fonts (serif and sans serif, for example) which suite well for book, or so. Some examples: Georgia Pro with Verdana Pro Minion Pro with Myriad Pro...
Hi Freund, thank you. Creating a own Font set is pretty complicated and requires some special software that is rather expensive. So i would rather suggest to find a font that comes close and modify that after converting it to curves, or create just the text you need, for example for a headline or brand name in vector.
Hi, David. Sadly there is only the rectangular shape and i don't think AP has a "follow form" feature to lock text to shapes. If you have affinity designer, it should have that feature though and you can import it later.
i have a missing section on the right of my screen it doesnt give me the option to change from histogram, colours, swatches and brushes can anyone help????
Loved learning about the glyph browser!
You are welcome, Sandi. It was a new tool for me too :)
Thank you. Glad I found this very useful video.
Actually Lorem Ipsum is available within Affinity: Text > Insert filler text
Your vids are very useful, like having another creative pair of eyes on a project . . .Thanks
Thank you, Danny. Always nice to see that i inspire my students :)
Great tut!!
Thank you, Marco :)
Thank you for taking the time to make and share this tutorial (and the ones in the past LOL).
Thank you, Enrique :)
Cool! How do you identify a font so it goes in the "font favorites" category?

Thank you for the video. Do you know how we can extend the fonts tool bar panel in Affinity?
highly interesting! Thanks a lot once more. btw: As a designer, could you imagine creating an own fontset and making a how-to tutorial?

Nice, thank you! Have you found a way to change the shape of the text box other than a rectangle to, say, an eclipse or triangle?
