Thank you thank you and thank you again! Thanks to you, with the use of a couple of tutorials of yours, I finally managed to get the look I wanted. One day I will get my own signature.A big danke!
Can't say I like the look, but as you said, it can be a good foundation for dodge & burn. In moments like this I marvel at the technology of Photoshop. I think they like this kind of look in advertising. Thanks, Calvin, subscribed!
thanks for sharing this technique :) just wondering, is there much of a difference if I use the smart sharpen tool, does that produce similar results? As the effect looks like its a "dodge and burn" look too.
I'm new to CS6 so I was kind of confused on what to use it for but you did make your explanations on how to achieve the results clear. Have you more tutorials?
Hey Calvin danke für das tut bischt echt ein super typ.. ich hab Photoshop CS6 auf Deutsch und ich glaube diese Filter gibts da nicht bzw. die heißen anders oder ?
Fantastic tutorial, thanks! I've been looking for this look for video for quite a while, and your tutorial translates very nicely into After Effects. Just substitute a bilateral blur for the surface blur and a pre-comp for the layer merge, and everything comes over nicely.
Cool Vid Calvin. One Question. To get rid of the Dodge and Burn (6:51) would you now put a Layer Mask over the "Dodge and Burn" - Layer or would you still brush with 50% gray?
That's great. Just getting started with dodge and burn I ask myself: could this work properly as the base for dodging and burning by hand (instead of a 50% grey layer)? Sure I'm gonna try this but if there are some opinions and experiences feel free to share them. ;)
