Chapter 1 and 2 combined is already almost as big as Undertale, and it's free. It's insanely generous of Toby Fox, I really think he and his team deserve all the support they can get.

Chapter 2 was supposed to release together with all the other chapters as a paid game, but because Chapter 2 took so long to make, and because people are living in hard times, because covid, Toby Fox decided to release it for free. Chapter 3-5 are now in development and then it will cost money.
I just now realized, the ost is already an hour and 30 minutes long, and we’re only on chapter 2! If chapters 3-7 are going to be just as long as 2 then this is going to be quite the album to listen to
I don't think the world can really handle all the chapters releasing at once. Just this chapter alone gave us enough content as if it was a full game... its gonna be so overwhelming 😂
Just the first two chapters of Deltarune alone contain about as much content as ALL OF UNDERTALE when measuring by playtime. Assuming these first two chapters account for 2/7ths of what the final length will be (which they may not; chapter lengths in games like this aren't always uniform and first chapters especially tend to be shorter), we're looking at a finished product in the ballpark of 30 hours, which is no mean feat for an indie RPG!

I always found it funny when people decided to argue if Undertale or Earthbound was better, when Toby Fox is probably the biggest Earthbound fan on the planet.
I am wholly looking forwards to it. Toby's works are so well elevated by the music that the two are inseparable; the game forms the memories, the music relives them.
Vs. Susie is honestly *the most* emotional track in Deltarune so far. It's the only song that succeeds in giving me chills every time I listen to it. You can feel Susie's anger and disbelief that Lancer, one of her only friends, was lying to her. You can feel how much abuse and trauma she's been through, and it's incredible. Kudos to Toby, as always.
If Chapter 2's theme is Cyber, then the ending shows we will be going into the Realm inside the TV. i supposed the theme for Chapter 3 is gonna be Jazz with a pitch of 8-bits all around

its quite interesting since a lot of the music in deltarune screams undertale vibe, so even resnble or remix the undertale ost, but sans. is the only song that remains, Sans is just too Iconic to have other music besides ' the big 3 ' eventhough one of them doesnt play

All of these songs are good. The one that stood out to me was "Lantern" (13:56) I like to consider it my life checkpoint because I'm really glad my ears witnessed this track. It's really relaxing and makes me want to keep living. Man, I really wish to live until I see this entire game finished...

Spamton kinda reminds me of Fawful from the Mario & Luigi sagas. Like, they both have a non-understood or unknown backstory, they try to sell you stuff for no reason, and they are all both really good at being comedic, even if they don't mean to be.
Toby was always good at mixing comedy and drama. In one moment, you have Birdly figuring out that his companion is *gasp* a mobile gamer! The twist! The cringe! The betrayal! And in the next, you have 1:17:45 , a twisted version of "Don't Forget" that feels hopeless and isolating.
The use of leitmotifs is fantastic as always. "Girl Next Door" at 41:25 sounds like it'd be a starting-zone song, like Pallet Town in the original Pokemon red/blue. "Lost Girl" at 1:08:30 is more melancholic, like Grandpa's last wishes in Stardew Valley or a somber moment in an old Final Fantasy game like FF Tactics. Practically the same song, but vastly different vibes.
Nah 6-7 hours since toby said that chapter 2 is the biggest chapter (well because of cutscenes mostly) and in the later chapters alot of themes will be reused
Nothing can describe the force I felt after listening to 'Dialtone', one of the saddest songs in the soundtrack, and having it immediately follow up with 'sans.'
You're just listening to My Castle Town, and its such a wholesome melody, of a town that you made on your own, where you recruited alot of monsters and never wanted to kill anyone. And then there's Queen
Guys… I think I might of cracked the code. So my theory is that each chapters secret boss represents one of the seven souls from undertale. So deltarune chapter 1 represents the normal soul or the red one. And deltarune chapter 2 represents the shooting soul or the yellow soul. Since there is seven souls from undertale and seven chapters that will be added in deltarune I believe there will be a link between them. So we can expect having the spider lines purple hart thingy in a fight with some parts of spider dance in the music in that battle. We can also expect that we will have a blue hart fight with parts of ether bone trusle or megalovania in the battle music. And we will most definitely have a green hart fight with parts of ether spear of justices or battle against a true hero in the music. I am guessing we will have a fight with the light blue to but the thing about that is in undertale it’s not your hart that becomes light blue but the atk’s of the attacker so maybe a fight with someone that can use light blue attacks, The music I am unsure about since a lot of ppl can use it. And the same goes for orange attacks orange is also not a hart thingy but a attack thingy and I am also unsure about any music part since a lot of ppl (or monsters I guess is a better term) can use the orange thingy. Like the comment so that more ppl will see this and write a comment on your opinion. :-)
Chapter 1 and 2 combined already have 70 songs, when the rest of the game finally came out the full Deltarune OST will have somewhere beetwen 250-300 songs! Absolute MIND BLOWN!!!
By far my favorite track is My castle town. It gives that sense of finally coming home after a long adventure to rest peacefully with all your friends.

These soundtracks are so reminiscent of old school console and handhold games. There are many themes that I could listen that gives the feeling of nostalgia from a series like Pokemon and Zelda among others. I heard from one place before that Toby Fox was really inspired from all sorts of games and other pop references which really explains the nostalgic vibe that I am feeling right now from these soundtracks really, as I also grow up with these similar themes and melodies in my very early childhood. This is getting honestly more and more reminiscent to RPGs as I listen to them more instead of just hearing them last time around.
Absolutely! I've been meaning to say this, but Toby absolutely captures the 'classic' vibe; 5:24 "The Legend" is a good example, it feels like the intro song to an old SNES-era RPG, or a 'deliberately trying to be old' tune like the intro to Wind Waker. Speaking of great songs: Paper Mario - The Thousand Year Door. The very first intro song has that 'Once Upon a Time' feeling, like opening a book you know is going to be good.

Timestamps seem to be inaccurate after "Girl Next Door" on the Chapter 2 section (ex. clicking "A Real Boy!" puts you in the middle of "sans."
Chapter 1 and 2 combined is already almost as big as Undertale, and it's free. It's insanely generous of Toby Fox, I really think he and his team deserve all the support they can get.
And they're both free thanks to covid, otherwise only Chapter 1 would be free.

Chapter 2 was supposed to release together with all the other chapters as a paid game, but because Chapter 2 took so long to make, and because people are living in hard times, because covid, Toby Fox decided to release it for free. I don't think the world can really handle all the chapters releasing at once. Just this chapter alone gave us enough content as if it was a full game... its gonna be so overwhelming 😂
Well after 3, 4, and 5 we’ll still have 6 and 7 so it’s not all of them but it’s close
Just the first two chapters of Deltarune alone contain about as much content as ALL OF UNDERTALE when measuring by playtime. Assuming these first two chapters account for 2/7ths of what the final length will be (which they may not; chapter lengths in games like this aren't always uniform and first chapters especially tend to be shorter), we're looking at a finished product in the ballpark of 30 hours, which is no mean feat for an indie RPG!

Vs. Susie is honestly *the most* emotional track in Deltarune so far. It's the only song that succeeds in giving me chills every time I listen to it. You can feel Susie's anger and disbelief that Lancer, one of her only friends, was lying to her. You can feel how much abuse and trauma she's been through, and it's incredible. Kudos to Toby, as always.
and of course, the famous line in undertale. Even after everything, it's still you. Toby really is a master of emotion

My favorite part of My Castle Town is, near the end, the “ding - dong ding - dong” from the Christmas carol “Carol of the Bells” under the chiming of sleigh bells.
Reading the lyrics of Carol of the Bells in the context of this game is… harrowing.

Spamton kinda reminds me of Fawful from the Mario & Luigi sagas. Like, they both have a non-understood or unknown backstory, they try to sell you stuff for no reason, and they are all both really good at being comedic, even if they don't mean to be.
Tbh as you said that, i also thought of Ravio from Legend of Zelda a Link Between Worlds
Toby was always good at mixing comedy and drama. In one moment, you have Birdly figuring out that his companion is *gasp* a mobile gamer! The twist! The cringe! The betrayal!
And in the next, you have 1:17:45 , a twisted version of "Don't Forget" that feels hopeless and isolating.
They are always smiling as well
The use of leitmotifs is fantastic as always. "Girl Next Door" at 41:25 sounds like it'd be a starting-zone song, like Pallet Town in the original Pokemon red/blue. "Lost Girl" at 1:08:30 is more melancholic, like Grandpa's last wishes in Stardew Valley or a somber moment in an old Final Fantasy game like FF Tactics. Practically the same song, but vastly different vibes.

Nothing can describe the force I felt after listening to 'Dialtone', one of the saddest songs in the soundtrack, and having it immediately follow up with 'sans.'

You're just listening to My Castle Town, and its such a wholesome melody, of a town that you made on your own, where you recruited alot of monsters and never wanted to kill anyone.
And then there's Queen
Guys… I think I might of cracked the code.
So my theory is that each chapters secret boss represents one of the seven souls from undertale.
So deltarune chapter 1 represents the normal soul or the red one.
And deltarune chapter 2 represents the shooting soul or the yellow soul.
Since there is seven souls from undertale and seven chapters that will be added in deltarune I believe there will be a link between them.
So we can expect having the spider lines purple hart thingy in a fight with some parts of spider dance in the music in that battle.
We can also expect that we will have a blue hart fight with parts of ether bone trusle or megalovania in the battle music.
And we will most definitely have a green hart fight with parts of ether spear of justices or battle against a true hero in the music.
I am guessing we will have a fight with the light blue to but the thing about that is in undertale it’s not your hart that becomes light blue but the atk’s of the attacker so maybe a fight with someone that can use light blue attacks, The music I am unsure about since a lot of ppl can use it.
And the same goes for orange attacks orange is also not a hart thingy but a attack thingy and I am also unsure about any music part since a lot of ppl (or monsters I guess is a better term) can use the orange thingy.

There are many themes that I could listen that gives the feeling of nostalgia from a series like Pokemon and Zelda among others.
I heard from one place before that Toby Fox was really inspired from all sorts of games and other pop references which really explains the nostalgic vibe that I am feeling right now from these soundtracks really, as I also grow up with these similar themes and melodies in my very early childhood.
This is getting honestly more and more reminiscent to RPGs as I listen to them more instead of just hearing them last time around.
Absolutely! I've been meaning to say this, but Toby absolutely captures the 'classic' vibe; 5:24 "The Legend" is a good example, it feels like the intro song to an old SNES-era RPG, or a 'deliberately trying to be old' tune like the intro to Wind Waker.
Speaking of great songs: Paper Mario - The Thousand Year Door. The very first intro song has that 'Once Upon a Time' feeling, like opening a book you know is going to be good.
I know this might be unrelated to the ost, but something I noticed is that lightners have a black and white face when talking. Darkners have a color filled in face
When "Faint Glow" is about to start, I always have another tab open with "Don't Forget", I play it first and then proceed to Chapter 2, I just can't skip "Don't Forget"

I’ve listened to this entire OST 3 times now, and i can confidently say that WELCOME TO THE CITY is one of the most underrated songs in all of Deltarune so far, and is also the one that grew on me the most

Dialtone's placement is the scene with Spamton after he is beaten, I assume since it has the most meaning during his "You're strong" moment. I prefer the order to be a play-by-play of those events, even if it isn't exactly the order you'd first hear each song.
I love this and listen to it on the regular know. The soundtrack in these games are so insanely good! Stuck in my head for days!

Some of Wich really lighten up my daily work schedule (I'm a restaurant manager) and I almost didn't notice that chapter 2 released until a few days ago at all... Now I listen to this...
