Because of your video, we went to this restaurant, this exact one and had an amazing time! We opted for the dinner as we were arriving from the Lake Kawaguchi area earlier in the day but with the exchange rate being in the favor of US tourists, 8000 yen was only about $53 at the time! Thank you again!
I'm going to eat here today and have booked a spot at the restaurant. However, tablecheck says JYP8800 Inc tax. That's about USD58. I'm guessing it was below USD35 then when tourism was still low. It would have costed higher in CAD and AUD so I assumed this video quoted in USD
Thank you so much for watching. There is such a huge selection of amazing restaurants, sometimes it is hard to narrow them down. This restaurant was really easy to get a reservation online. That is awesome you are going in a few months. What parts are you visiting?
I went! It was sooooooo delicious. I started queuing at 10:30am and manage to get the walk in deal for 4400 yen. Thanks for the recommendations Mike & Jules
@@HiMikeAndJules actually I flew into Tokyo, dropped off my bag and went straight to the restaurant and started queuing. I think I have Japanese blood in me as they love to queue 😂
@@HiMikeAndJules the restaurant opened at 11am, they let in reservations in first and let them settle in before they allow for walk in (if the restaurant has available seating) so In total, about an hour. It was definitely worth queuing before it opened otherwise I might not get in as there were lots of walk in dinners
Hi! We didn't have a wait because we made a reservation (we didn't want to wait) through the Tokyo Ten website - sushitokyo-ten.com/ . If you only want their lunch course, you have to queue up in person. We have a subscriber who said he started waiting at 10:30am and was able to get the 4400 yen deal! -J
Loved the video and looking forward to trying it soon! A bit confused about the reservation - you said Michael made an online reservation, but this 26 course omakase still came out to ~35 USD? But also the only option of reserving online is the upgraded omakase at 7700 yen?
Thanks for watching! Sorry about the confusion. So if you want get the 35 dollar option you will have to line up early at the restaurant. There is only one option when you get reservations online and that is the more expensive option. Hope that explains it.
Thank you Richie! We had a reservation so we got in right away. The actually dinner itself was about 2 hours. We felt like exploding after lol.. But good exploding.
Unfortunately we didn't make the walk in one. It is limited seating. We were pretty happy with the upgraded one. Its a great value compared to California prices.
If you get a reservation online, you can only get the upgraded set. You can only get the cheaper set if you line up early. We got the reservation online so it is the upgraded set.
Many people think that placing an object closer to the camera lens gives a better look, but actually, the opposite is true. When the camera is focused on your face, introducing an object suddenly between the lens and your face only creates a dizzying, blurry image for the viewer. Many RUclipsrs, especially those who do mukbang videos, often make this mistake. Camera lenses aren't exactly like human eyes; they are only similar.
If you are in Chiba City there is Sushi Choushimaru,... it's a chain restaurant and one store is close to the train station. There are always daily specials and since it's Chiba the sardine are better than in Tokyo! (^_^)
I would check out www.tabelog.com, it's Japan's restaurant guide and food review website. You can also make reservations for some establishments from there too. Also, eating sushi for lunch will typically be cheaper than to eat it for dinner. Hope that helps!
Would you guys come to this place? What is the average price your would pay for Omakase?
So what happens if you're full before ending the course😂?

They have raised prices so I heard.
This was a great recommendation. The value for the amount of food was of the charts. Thanks!
it was awesome!
Thank you for all your Japan videos - will be there in a couple months and was looking for some top-tier food suggestions. Hope you're having fun!

This looks so good and at a good price. On my list for late April visit. Thank you.
Price is unbeatable for the quality. Hope you enjoy it!
Was in Japan 3 weeks ago for work. Going back in June got to try this place. Looks great and the price can’t beat it thanks
Lucky you! Hope you like it! You're going to have a great time 🙂

hi! can you make a reservation for lunch? or is that only for dinner only. and how did you make the reservation? thanks!
You can make a RSVP for lunch or dinner. Lunch is cheaper
Looks soo good, at what time do you suggest to make the line for the lunch without a reservation?
1030am is a good start to line up or just get reservations online.
Looks good!
Weren't you planning a trip to Japan soon?

Yeah I would definitely make reservations online. Or you can wait in line before they open. It averages half an hour to 1 hour wait in queue.
