I'm so glad more people is paying attention to Poets of the Fall. Their lyrics are rich in nuances and meanings, almost too rich for normal music. Word wizards 😍

The main reason I can think of why they are not more known is because since the beginning they started on their own created their own label and work from there, they even release a couple of cd for other bands, but they dont have a great budget for promotion to reach people, is just to us fans to help them, and you my friend are helping a lot. THX!

Then again, the road they travelled made them who they are today ...

Given and Denied has some of my favourite lyrics ("symphonies play in a world without sound" is just *chef's kiss*) and I agree that the guitar in it is brilliant. Also great to see that Dawn gave you chills - Marko's voice is just sublime there and he really gets to show off his skills with those drawn out notes.
Yes, Carnival of Rust and Twilight Theatre are both album titles (incidentally my two favourite albums, though it's a close race because they're all great). Fun fact: they said their album "Clearview" is "the first album that is set in the real world" so basically all previous albums (including these two) are set in a sort of alternative reality, one with some sort of magical realism in it. I think that explains why some of the lyrics are so ... ethereal, for lack of a better word.
Looking forward to your reaction to the Old Gods of Asgard - there aren't that many songs by their alter ego band, but they're still great.

You have to react to song called Drama for life (official video) and my personal favorite is Rebirth. There is fan art video for Rebirth and Poets have Alexander Theatre version on their offisial site. :)
