THIS IS THE SOUND I have been seeking. Don't know how I missed 'em. I was born in the '50's, grew up in L.A. So every kind of music has been available to me. The Who, Hawkwind, Todd Rundgren, The Cure, The Mission UK...Killing Joke...THIS one here is THE SOUND. Sooo glad I chanced upon this.😁🤩😎
I didn’t missed them and I don’t know shit about music! 🤣. I didn’t have the patience for this album after Screamdelica. This version is much better than the albums.
@@ranica47 I think he knows that due to the sarcastic(cool as fuck though) roses joke, he may be where angels play but he was born in a mersey paradise
i think the moment mani joined the scream. it was as if the band just raised their game as they were looking for a bass player while a bass player was looking for a gig. i hope mani returns but also keep simone as she's managed to hold her own as i'm sure there's something she can do. someone needs to fill that missing piece that is duffy.
RN. What du mean please tell me its a really cleaver joke that's gone way over my dumb ass bonce, I love the primals I love radiohead and I know that this was in 97 when vanishing point came out which was same year OK computer also did, both albums are masterpieces and in 1991 radiohead where prob sending out demos while the primals was releasing there first masterpiece screamedelica, so fuck knows I really do hope I'm just too stupid to get it maybe its soooooo fuckin cleaver that thousands of people are like myself and just one super cleaver cool ass mutherfucker (I'm from hemel hempstead I don't actually talk like that it just sound appropriate in my head) has got this cool joke made about 2 cool as fuck bands and smashed the ol" like button, one thing I have learned from this whole experience is that I now dont think I know it all when it comes to cool music, even if matey is really just explaining who mani is and not knowing it was a joke and your getting the primals mixed up with cough cough.... Radiohead, the primal screaming radioheads ha ha 🤯🤘that's deffo the best sounding mix of there names and literally now the best thing that's come from this utter out of complete nowhere cos I'm fucked up on this stardog bud, love to everyone and just have fun
@@stevendavidson391 I remember the fighter pilot helmet. I never realised it was Innes in it! I see, he is playing here, he's just way out of shot, like Neil Young at Woodstock.

amazing bass work by Mani, what a player...
Mani prime
This is what a band look like when they are on top of their game.
greatest song they ever played
RIP Duffy
Genius ✌️
The base line. Fabulous.
Great Song!
Good bass line.
Yeah!
The wee man on percussion loving it
Mani the bass man
Outstanding
You had to be in the Rave
😊🏴☠️🎈🌈
The chap on bass is rather effective at playing his instrument. He must be where angels play.
Hahahahaha Brilliant
That's Mani, the legend. Originally in the Stone Roses, he rejoined them when they reformed years later.

this is still so fresh, great song this, seen this played in Derry Rialto theatre
Fantastic song
Love it
Mani is super cool as always
In 1997, Primal Scream were the best band on the planet. Fact.
Totally agree. Best year of Primal Scream.
Rewind Fast Forward yeah, when Mani joined, made them a quality unit.
Agreed, stiff competition in that year from The Verve aswell
Nope. Spiritualized, without a doubt.
Verve................................................:-)
a mix of Floyd/Barrett/Stones 2000 light years from home era with Happy Mondays?
And tomorrow your roots
yeah, THIS IS THE SOUND
A dash of Miles Davis 'On the Corner' LP also
Seen 'em a few times but this performance is a pinnacle, though of many

AGREE. MANI NEED COMEBACK
The thing is that Mani has nothing to do with the primal sound of now, more modern funky disco.
They completely abandoned this sound
Stellar
Mani!!!
Like the stones roses
Mani on Bass....
Fuckin love this groove
Brilliant song, mani is my favourite bass player ever, cool 😎 as fuck
Is that the bass player from Stone Roses?
Yeah he joined them in '96 when the Roses split
Yes
So fkn cool
MDMAzing
Mounfield channeling desert storm
Duffy's tower of synth magic is delicious.
Wel wel it is Mani Manchester
1991 yes. In 1997 I definetly would say Radiohead created a masterpiece.

has aged quite well, apart from that organ at 1:49
How did they go from this to the dire Country Girl?
Absolutely, the creative juices dried up cuz this is timeless & country girl was very bad ….
Tune real bass
Ace
Wrc 3
👏👏👏
cool as fook
Throb
Always been confused by how Duffy’s guitar doesn’t appear to be in the mix
Simon Kobayashi
Do you mean Innes? Duffy is the keyboard player.
@@lucasm3879 must have been half asleep - I actually mean Throb's guitar!
If you look there never seems to be any corresponding sound to what he's playing. Seems to be having a good time though
@@smallgang1 I was thinking the same.
Why is Throb not playing on these tracks?
Throb's there, but no Innes....???
Syd Barrett

Robert Gillespie is mullered
Pretty sure he was non stop for 20 years 😁
How come Andrew Innes isn't playing here. He's been the backbone of Primal Scream since the beginning.
He is on the right side of Duff
He’s playing the blue strat to the left of mani just doesn’t get much camera time
Innes was a bit camera shy during this period. Either was missing from publicity shots or wearing a fighter pilot helmet and mask.

Wheres Innes?
Next to manni, the camera doesn’t go by him much
