Absolutely. There is no way that knife is worth $520+. Not in any universe. Objectively or Subjectively! The cherry on top was throwing a steel clip on that knife...a total slap in the face to their customer base. This was clearly manufactured to squeeze out every every ounce of profit from the "money" stone!
For what its worth i hage the narrows and i rather enjoy it. I did get it 20% off which made the price better. It is really nice and i do enjoy how light it is. I can barely tell its in my pocket. No one is telling you to spend the money if you dont want to.

Same thing happened with my civivi bo in nitro-v, factory edge went to shit almost immediately after cutting something harder than paper. Felt like a completely different knife after a proper sharpening though, holds an edge pretty well now.
Carrying my TRM Shadow as I type. Still haven’t handled a Narrows yet but my concerns about the thinness making it uncomfortable seem to be legitimate based on your review. As for people who are raving about it, they probably get kickbacks from BM and don’t want to lose them. Or maybe they really do like it. Who knows? All I know is when I finally get to hold one, even if I think it’s great, it’ll have to be a LOT cheaper than $522 for me to buy it.

They forgot allot on the Narrows.. not sure the crowd the are trying to impress, especially since most reviewers are talking down about the knife and the change in BM using their market strength to sell us way over priced, under built knives!! It will take a Pyrite type of success to even catch my eye again. I have a few BM’s I’m keeping, they’re 10 yrs old or more. But never again will my money go to their bank accounts! To many well built knives out there for so much less.. kee up the good work Doody! Thanks!!
I would definitely recommend the shadow over the narrows everyday imo, I'm with you no comparison btwn them you can almost buy 2 for the price of 1 narrows

I’ve also had bad luck with Civivi Nitro-v. People generally like it as a budget steel, so maybe others do it better. TRM… better and cheaper than a lot of BM
oh i do believe narrows is a complete cash grab! i wish this knife would have taken the entire company down! to sit there knowing dam well this knife will sell at the very least to the hardcore benchmade fan, with the likes of a stainless steel pocket clip! what a slap in the face to the dedicated benchmade knife enthusiast! lets talk about the milling, the milling is what every knife company has done with their own knives for weight relief! the knife actually looks inside out! this is like the best example of what it means and looks like when a company cuts corners, not just any company, but one of the biggest names when it comes to knives! it makes me sick to my stomach that this knife came with a stainless steel pocket clip!! what a damn rip off!! shame on you benchmade!!
