I always considered Cannibal corpse like a musical horror movie! I've listened to their story and they simply wanted to be the most gore kind of group, it was a teenage things. So for their name they wanted the most hard things. Those guys are lovely ( espcialy George ) is lovely, they have family and they take care of their people. We have to understand that its a job, they sure do not encourage any violent behavior, but they sure do get inspired by all the s*** that there is on Earth. ( sorry for my grammar im not perfectly bilingual ! peace out ) love your channel ! :)
That's absolutely true. Even Tom Araya from Slayer is a man of God. I love their music and I'm a man of God. Hell my favorite Slayer song is south of heaven.
I will never understand why suddenly when it comes to music it is a case of "they must condone these things if it is their source material" but a writer or movie producer can do horrors and nobody thinks that.
Look I think someone who takes this as such a major part of the theme of their work (just like with movies and artists etc) do have a different way of thinking about these things compared to most people, but that does not mean it is a positive view.

Winds of plague is awesome, but I couldnt get into their new album much.
being stripped of pride doesn't mean being humble, you'd have to give away your pride willingly to have humility to replace it. i'm not religious but that's just a human thing. And i'm sure "the guy who wrote it" Paul Mazurkiewicz had those exact bible passages in mind writing the bible. The guys in this band aren't knuckle dragging morons, it's rude to assume is it not?

Agree, while the Barnes era has some real jems and was when I became a fan, with Corpsegrinder they get better and better with every album. They're untouchable now and the best death metal band out there

I love how the reaction turns into a real conversation. That's really cool. I'm always ready to jump all over an over judgemental Christians, but you guys are actually open minded. As a Christian I often think about what hell might be. Who knows... right? I'm gonna keep loving Jesus and my fellow man.
Vin's a Boss. He's very perceptive, like, I'd expect him to be mortified by the lyrics, but he actually immediately understands what they mean and explains it in a clear way. For example, he explains how "robbed of pride and power", won't actually humble somebody who is powerful and proud. Humility can't be forced. It's something that someone has to want to learn. However when someone who values power and pride above anything else, to be robbed of that, is something that will destroy them eternally, not momentarily. They won't ever feel humiliated, because they see humility as a weakness. Humility is strange because most people associate lack of humility with pride and power, which it isn't. A proud powerful person can also have humility... Rare, yes, but completely possible.
Their hammer smashed face conversation was really bad, and Sori was heavily blinded by her rage and hatred against the song due to it being too violent, even though that song isn’t that intense compared to other songs on that album. It definitely felt like listening to Christian propaganda against all depictions of violence
I'm not even in far enough for the song to start but just wanna day I'm a long time follower, love the channel and I sincerely hope Sori can attain some comfort before she pops! Love you too Vin. I look forward to completing the video

Song about bad people going to hell
I like songs like this by Cannibal Corpse because to me it isn't glorifying sin, it is showing the full scope of the horror of it. I think we as people have a difficult time conceptualizing Hell because 1.) As long as someone is still alive there is still hope that they will change for the better, 2.) We don't fully and definitively know the heart of another person, and 3.) We don't have the full authority to condemn someone to a place like Hell. I think after a person dies, that eliminates objection #1, and since God is all knowing and powerful, that eliminates #2 and #3.

Saw em in Memphis this January and met the band. They closed with this and hammer smashed face. So awesome. One of the best metal shows I’ve been to. Harms way and Hate Eternal opened for them. Def not a Christian but I totally commend you for even listening to this
