I have to agree with everyone else this Bloom is breathtaking! But it is you! Your eye has you see the litte something extras that could be added to make it spectacular where others may have left it as is. Thank you for teaching and taking me on your journey. God Bless.❤
I LOVE it!!! Those colors are FABULOUS together. You’re so crazy talented… you could do any technique and create a Masterpiece!! Ty for sharing & teaching 🧡💙🖤
I would say your experiment was a success. The colors are just glorious and you got your bloom effect. If both blooms had been blown out before "deconstructing " I (a person who has NEVER done a successful bloom 😂) think would have bumped it up to a whole other level of beautiful. Great teaching video...great outcome. Thanks!
Lovely Cathleen! If you want a black base but only have white housepaint you can cheat and lay down a big ole puddle of black first as your first color, then go from there. I think Shelee has some vids or reels showing this, plus it’s a good hack to use up leftover paint that’s no longer pure white. I add a little bit of water to my PM mix-I used to use straight JoSonja but felt it dried out my paint. Happy blooming doll!!!
Cathleen this one is gorgeous!! It looks cosmic!! You are right I this can be very confusing, but you have it down! Thank you for sharing and Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!
Absolutely gorgeous!! Love your colours. Now I have to get some lakeside!! In Canada, we use Sherwinn Williams color to go and they will tint your pillow paint for you. But I love your idea way better because you could make all kinds of colours with one can and not have many different cans of different colours. Takes up way less room!
Absolutely Stunning and so full of energy and movement. The shimmers of Zeus aka 'liquid copper' & the Lakeside were born to be together. This painting is one the most beautiful blooms I have ever seen. It's as if you have been doing this technique forever. This is just gorgeous! It is a joy watching you and thank you so much for sharing your experiments with us. 🎨💙
Really stunning Cathleen! When I was watching my husband came by and said, " that is beautiful! I really like that!" He said in a way that he wants me to paint one like it. I would love to, but I don't have room...yet. I have space for my pearl cell paint and ingredients and then my regular pour painting ingredients...and I've literally painted myself into a corner😏. So, for now I'll just try to learn as much as possible. Thanks for clear instructions...I need it!😁 Merry Christmas Cathleen 🎄☃️🎄☃️🎄
Thank you SO MUCH Cathleen for doing the experiment with a different base color 💕 Using the deep base untinted makes sense but it never occurred to me. This is GORGEOUS.🤩
Still watching but wanted to come in really quick… I’m still a blooming amateur and practicing like crazy BUT…I’ve been going to Sherwin Williams and buying the little jugs of “Color To Go” tinted in any color for FREE as my pillow paint! Lisa Marvin taught me this and it’s such a great paint to use for your pillow. At my Sherwin Williams, I can get it sometimes for under $8.00 a jug! Hope this helps and happy blooming. Going back to see what beautiful creation you bloom!! 🤗
Sherwin Williams color to go. It’s awesome for base paints. I get tri-corn black but it can be tinted to any color. I ususly get it when it on sale. My Aussie floetrol had been like skim milk lately. Never used to be. Still watching.
Oh Karen, I’ve wondered what the bloom would look like on a different background and I think you you were the first and so far the only artist that I’ve seen that is even attempt to do it on a different background other than white. And it is gorgeous the shimmer, oh my, please do another one on black simply beautiful❤❤❤
Wow. This piece is so vibrant with the contrasts of color and the use of negative space. You know how to bring bling to a piece and keeping it classy. Your artistry is amazing so thank you forever inspiring and sharing your work!
Yep! It turned out gorgeous, just as I suspected! Your talent shines through once again and those colors are stunning together!! Love it my friend!! 🤗🌲
This is gorgeous.. I did learn that the pillow is the thickest ,, then the paints are a little thinner, then the cell activator is the thinnest .. not easy lol .. but you did wonderful
Love this colour palette and fantastic flow with your experiment. One to try out in the new year. Wishing you a continued abundance of creative ideas and inspiration which you so generously share with us all xxx
Wowza that’s stunning. I’m a bloomer.. love that technique. One small container of pigment can be added to 1 gallon of paint and be bright n shimmery. I mix mine in 2 oz containers and only use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon. A little goes a long way. I also buy oops paint at Home Depot. If it’s too thick I thin it with polycrylic. If it’s too thin I use a scoop of my Behr 8300. Walmart’s Color Place eggshell or satin also work as pillow paint n the sell many colors. I haven’t tried Sherwin Williams but hear it’s a great one too. Good luck on your blooming journey!! I can’t wait to see what you create!😊🧡
@@COZCreationsArt I also like to layer cell activators. I’ll do white, black and white again. I don’t ever do just one. I have different colors mixed up. Atelier paint and tlp pigments make nice CAs too!
OH!! Cathleen this is EXQUISITE!!!! the hint of Lakeside is spot on. Cathleen this one made me 😂🥰. What an exciting, emotional intuitively powerful and positive piece (that was a mouth full lol!!), with the astrological energies that are happening right now. This is so "EXQUISITE!!!!" Mind blowing AWESOMENESS. Cathleen you are one Classy Artist and add your uniqueness to the art world. I am so stoked I found you back in 2019, it fills my heart and nourishes my passion for beautiful ART. Thankyou so very much Cathleen for all you do, but thankyou mostly for being you, such a beautiful soul. Namaste🙏 Love and Light 🤗🤗🥰🥰🤗🤗Tamra XOXOX
So beautiful! I am about to jump into blooms….love watching you learn and succeed. ❣️💐. P. S. I hope you watch The Painted Dreamer (Jodie Flynn). She is awesome, too.
Wow Kathleen those are really georgeous colors and the result is amazing. I have never done blooms but I have watched many artists do them and I think you are getting the hang of it. Thanks for sharing!
COZMIC PAINTING CATHLEEN❣️. This color pallet is gorgeous! You're a bloomer! I love everything about this painting. With every technique you've ever attempted you achieve success and create the most stunning art. Thats a true talented artist. It's easy to tell how passionate you about painting. Happy Holidays my friend!😊🎅🎁 PS: I'm watching this at 1:30 am, my daughter is back in the hospital again and will be for some time.😢
This is gorgeous Cathleen. I did the Shelee Carruthers Bloom course about 18 months ago and I only did the odd swipe 🤣. Like you, I had tremendous trouble seeing where to blow 🤦♀️. However, just recently, I decided to tackle it and I’m reasonably happy with my results. I still have a long way to go.
G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S - Gorgeous as always. The colours and the final piece are just stunning. Best wishes and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from, Gina Mac of Queensland, Australia. 😍❤️🙏🇦🇺✡️🧔♀️🪔🎄✨️🎁🎨
Hi I did some blooms without house paint or Jo’s that name I can’t spell,I just used floetrol and normal paint now are they blooms I have house paint I have mixed it with floetrol I will give it ago but is it a bloom .I love house paint it drys nice and quick and it’s summer time ?have my bed jacket on a cold wind just do what works .
Linda when you buy house paint at Home Depot or Lowes, most is untinted. Then you show them the color swatch that you want and they mix it up for you. You don’t want then to add any tint to the paint. You add the tint when your mixing. The Behr 8300 from Home Depot works well because it has no titanium white in it and the consistency is perfect for blooms. Make sense?
@@COZCreationsArt I’m in the U.K. so we don’t have that paint only wall and ceiling which is white or all different colours. If I use my White House paint in my paints it would pale all the colours ?.
You are the first person to explain this, that actually made sense to me. LOVE it!
That makes me happy Honi
I love this! Especially like the non-standard composition.
WOW OH WOW, that is gorgeous. Cathleen, I think that is the best you have ever done. I love it.

Lizzy they do not. Plus i strain them before use. Never had an issue.
