My POURING MEDIUM
Behr Dynasty deep base semi-gloss and minwax polycrylic (roughly 2:1) from Home depot
And thinning to the right consistency with JoSonja gloss varnish (Dick blick, jerrys artsarama or Fluidart.co)
fluid-art.co/ for TLP and SUP, Silicone mats, Palette knives etc.
The magic juice/Cell activator is mixed with australian floetrol. (1:1)
paints added:
The wall paint I use for my PILLOW PAINT is Glidden essentials 'white' in eggshell
----------------------------------------------------------------------
THE SPINNER I'm using is my own design and creation. Every single work step is done by my hands and my table saw (operated by me)
I sell these on my homepage and if you want to up your game and create on big canvases, you seriously should check it out!
DISCLAIMER: It's a tool for serious artists, I always recommend getting a small , cheaper spinner to try if spinning is your thing first. After you've tried other versions, I promise you'll appreciate this guy over all of them if you work with big heavy canvasses and you spin all the time, like me.
For medium and smaller Canvasses, check out my new tiny and mighty Bäby spinner!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for adding the closed captions feature. You have really helped this Ole deaf lady out. 💋
I’ll try to remember. The lives take a while until they’re completely uploaded to do the captions. But no problem with the regular uploads!
Very well explained. Backlit is the goal, beautiful ❤
You make me laugh!! When that painting flew…🤣 great explanation on the 2 different bases. Love your technique & the results; they both have their own perks!😍
Haha! My head turned red, did you see that. Sometimes it’s hard to see myself…
Love everything by Jessica!
Awww, Tammy, that’s so sweet! Thank you
I love them both! 💙
Gorgeous! The faux pillow sure stretches and makes for a nicer flowing & brighter painting! Always learning from you ❤
Your face at the end when you dropped it was epic ❤
Love them both💕❤️I always love them all!
Hehe, good to read! Thank you 🌸
I love your personality lol you always make me smile and laugh and your a rocking kick ass artist!!!!
Thank you, Brenda! 💕
Love them both! Thanks for sharing and explaining! 💜
Thanks for watch, Penny! 💕
*watching
Very vibrant and thank you for showing us . I have yet to do a canvas that I am happy with but I am learning every day from you so thank you.
That’s fine, from all the paintings I do I like maybe 20%. Fluidart is a tough business!
Thank You Jessica ❣️
Thank YOU, Abbie! 🌸
Love you. Love your art. Love your explanations. Thank you for the inspiration and for your generosity ❤❤
Thank you so much!
I’d love to do a European tour.. who knows…?!
You’re amazing and such a great teacher and inspiration 💕
Thanks so much, Pam! I’m happy you’re here!
Love them both !! You are amazing ! Can’t wait to see you in April !!!
Me too!!
Are you kidding me Jessica? Your work is absolutely amazing. I too am so addicted to this method/technique. The way the colors pop through the faux pillow is incredible. Now, I’m off to the store to stock up in paint. I’ve done some bigger canvases that have come out really cool. I’m having an issue with these tiny cracks, but not cracks. It looks like mini shooting stars. But the rest of the piece is pretty cool. Thank you for being amazing. I can’t wait to meet you in person One day . Happy Holidays. 😍
That’s great, Joyce!
Yeah, this Method takes a bit more paint, doesn’t it?!
I love your videos !! Both are very pretty - but I agree the 2nd one is the Bomb-diggity !!! ❤
Hehe! Thank you so much, Marla! 💕🌸💕
Loved them both Jessica. Sorry I missed the live ❤❤❤
Thanks so much, Jeanette!
You are such a joy to watch! Thanks for sharing these techniques. Wish I could join you in person...life in general doesn't allow it. So, RUclips it is for now. Beautiful results on both of these paintings.
Sometimes life in general is a pain…! Maybe in the future!
Beautiful! Thank you.
Thanks so much, Cheryl
Absolutely amazing teaching and inspiration 🤗👌🎨💫 THANK you.
Thanks, girl hope you had a good time at FAB!
@@WinterStromArt Have sent you a PM 😊
You are awesome Jessica!
You are!
Absolutely love watching your videos! Stunning pieces and you’re always so entertaining! See you in Seattle!
Whooohooo
Well I missed the train yesterday but am catching up! I have never tried your faux pillow technique but that is the class I am signed up for at FAE! I just worry I need more scoop and drag practice but couldn't make the schedule work to fit that one in. I love seeing the difference between these two, both so cool. SYIS (see you in Seattle)!
You’ll be fine! I got you 🙂 see you in a few weeks!!!
Thank you !! Your painting is so fascinating and addictive ...I love your approach! You are undoubtedly my favorite
Thanks, Isabelle! I’m so glad to hear that
Love this technique! Both pieces are pretty, but the second one obviously has more depth and interest. I can tell that you are drawn to the blues, as am I. However, I would love to see you demonstrate this method with warm colors - red, yellow, orange...kwim? I will also try it myself, but you are so much more talented! :)
Love that idea! I will work on that
All are beautiful.
Thank you! ❤️
Hope to take a class from you someday soon 💜
That would be great! I’m sure there will be an opportunity for us to get together
I love this!! Gorgeous!
So glad! Thank you
Both paintings Stunning and the optics explanation of light and dark was well said. You are so awesomely unique. The way you see the physics in your paintings and explain that is scintillating. I can imagine in person how visually the paint exudes such depth and then to see the shimmers dance in nuance create such lasting impressions & perceptions. Thank you so much. Your teaching ability and the way you sneak in the science of fluid painting has such a clarity about it mixed with your wicked humor brings out such curosity and intrigue about you and your masterful art. 💫💙
Wow Lucy, this is quite a compliment. Thank you so very much for your kind words of support! It keeps me going ❤️
Gorgeous work, and your funny as well
I try…
Beautiful
Thank you🤗
I wish I could come and take these classes. But I’ll see you in Vegas. I know it’s not the same classes which is a bummer.
Oh, Vegas is gonna be so much fun! Can’t wait to meet you!
Excellent, love your style
Thank you very much, Mark!
😂❤
Ich will auch nach Seattle. Und dort schlaflos sein. 😢
Und dann treffen wir uns auf dem Empire State Building ?!
😍 Das wäre eine Extrameile, aber für Dich lege ich die gerne zurück 😀🍀
Mahlzeit! I would book one of your courses if it were to take place in Germany. Probably even both. Echt jetzt!
Wer weiß… vielleicht passierts ja mal! ❤️
I would like to go and I even live by seattle, but 350 for a 3 hours seems expensive
I would go for all 3 classes for 350 😅
I understand it’s a lot of money, I would probably not be able to afford it. You’re not only paying for a class with me (which actually would be around the same price if you came to my studio for a private lesson) it’s the whole conference hotel setting that needs to be covered. It’s an over all experience where we hang and be together the whole 3 days. Luckily there’s also still RUclips …
@@WinterStromArt I just hope that at least you get paid. And not just peanuts.
@@heureka2758 That's sweet of you.
these events are crazy expensive, just the rent for a whole conference part of a hotel, just to name one thing, is insanely expensive. I get paid not only money but I get to meet my tribe. Hang, talk paint, be merry. It pumps me up with energy. I just love it
@@WinterStromArt I wish to create a reality where these things are more accessible. Where not these ugly moneyhungry corporations get most of the profit, but real and nice and aligned peeps.
Coz these get-togethers are fun, educative, bonding and pumps you up, as you say it too.
I am in the process of creating my own ecovillage. 5D high vibe ecovillage. We'll definitely host events like this there. For now we are looking for partners, investors and "tribe"members-to-be-s.
When is it Australia’s turn? Or the etherlands
I don't know, sorry. I'm not the organizer I'm just getting invited. You might wanna talk to someone who is in Australia. FAE is US based, so I doubt they'll go to a different continent.
What is the point in laying down color , if you are putting it on your knife. I don't see the color from down under!! Just asking!
The trick is to reveal the colors from below. That's why I did the video to show how you actually CAN see the colors from underneath and what incredible depth this achieves. The layering is more important than one might think.
Fat pigeon! 😂
