📌 My POURING MEDIUM
Behr Dynasty deep base semi-gloss and minwax polycrylic (roughly 2:1) from Home depot
And thinning to the right consistency with JoSonja gloss varnish (Dick blick, jerrys artsarama or Fluidart.co)
I used just two paints in this
NOVA color
Paynes grey and super pearl gold
fluid-art.co/ for TLP and SUP, Silicone mats, Palette knives etc.
📌 The magic juice/Cell activator is mixed with australian floetrol. (1:1)

The wall paint I use for my PILLOW PAINT is Glidden essentials 'white' in eggshell

📌 THE SPINNER I'm using is my own design and creation. Every single work step is done by my hands and my table saw (operated by me)

DISCLAIMER: It's a tool for serious artists, I always recommend getting a small , cheaper spinner to try if spinning is your thing first. After you've tried other versions, I promise you'll appreciate this guy over all of them if you work with big heavy canvasses and you spin all the time, like me.

@@CathArtistry They had to because the supplier of one pigment thats in QNAG stopped producing it. It's used in medical and other areas. Paint is just a small part of where it was used. So, I guess it got hard to get for GOLDEN or too expensive?!

I assume you already have discovered this but 4 parts of Golden Transparent Red Oxide to 1 part Nickel Azo Yellow and voila... you have qnag! ps...adore your painting!
Very,very nice. As far as the Q.Azo Gold by Golden goes, if there is nothing in it that is unhealthy, perhaps the folks that make the piggy pigments can make you flow painters their version of it. They seem to make very nice pigments in other colours. Someone needs to put the bug in their ear.

I asked my artisty daughter why they would with all its popularity just in the AP market. She suggested perhaps its too costly to make...so why can't they come close to it. Yes, i have a tube small one. Damn this is so lovely. Jessica music is so Tangerine Dream as a German. I HOPE you know who THEY are!! I paint to their music a lot.. NOT since my cat Hector died suddenly. I've not posted any art videos... SOON, I LIKE YOURS..

What? No! I fell in love w QNAG because of YOUR vidoes! I jumped over to Jerry's and I think got the very last Golden High Flow. (A whole oz!) Yes, some Golden fluid is still available at Amazon but the price is ridiculous. 4x the price at Jerry's.
So it's been discontinued because of low demand in auto paints. I can't imagine how that goes over to a high demand/high dollar artist paint.
I've come close to mixing QNAG. If I can find my exact formula I'll post it.

Beautiful! I contacted Golden and they are NOT discontinuing QNAG. There is tons in stock here in Canada and my 2 art stores confirmed they are continuing to carry it. This is good news ... in Canada anyway 😊
What the…?! This is hilarious. If that’s true it’s just proof how fast untruth can spread over social media. I looked it up and I could only find a blog post from golden but from 2012. Thanks for letting us know I’m curious how this develops

SO striking! I love QNAG too and although I was able to put it in my Blick order, it has not shipped yet. I mixed some Azo yellow with quinacridone gold (Utrecht) but did not get it right. I suppose if it's the the gold pigment that is disappearing, we'll have to find something else sooner or later!
I bought 64 fluid oz of QNAG. Two 32 oz jars. Also my favorite. Devastated.

There are several formats, fluid, open, high flow, heavy body, and I’m not sure which is best for acrylic pouring. Can you help?

Make your own: red iron oxide 4 parts plus nickel azo yellow 1 part according to the painted paper artist.
QNAG will be very hard to replace 😢 I still have a bit left but … 💔💔 I send some healing energy your way. Feel better soon.
I know it's terribly sad - the paint that goes from baby poop in the cup to a glorious glowing orange gold in your painting. If you can get Sennelier paint Stateside they have a color that mixes up pretty dmaned close: Sennelier, haute viscosite, Series 4, Or de Quinacridone #599. If you have trouble finding it I will be happy to send you some. Hope you feel better sweetheart.
