- More stripes today with some changes. I changed my pouring medium for the lines I'm adding. All I do is leave out the varnish so my paints get heavier and denser. I want the paint to sink so it creates more distinct lines. Let's see how that went!
Also we're finding out how important the amount of pillow is for your composition.

My Pouringmedium (for the swipe paints, which I haven't actually used in this video...):
Behr Dynasty deep base semi-gloss and minwax polycrylic (roughly 2:1) from Home depot
And thinning to the right consistency with JoSonja gloss varnish (Dick blick, jerrys artsarama or Fluidart.co)
The magic juice/Cell activator is mixed with australian floetrol. (1:1)
The colors:
CA: Amsterdam oxide black and deep gold mixed with bright gold
mixed with Behr 8300 untinted house paint
(to the consistency you want it to be)
golden fluid - naphtol medium red, carbon black

The spinner I'm using is my own design and creation. Every single workstep is done by my hands and my table saw (operated by me)
I sell these on my homepage and if you want to up your game and create on big canvases, you seriously should check it out!
DISCLAIMER: It's a tool for serious artists, I always recommend getting a small , cheaper spinner to try if spinning is your thing first. After you've tried other versions, I promise you'll appreciate this guy over all of them if you work with big heavy canvasses and you spin all the time, like me.

I love the pillowy cloudy effect. This is beautiful ❤.
Thank you, Joyce
That piece from last week is exquisite
Thank you. I’m glad you like it!
GREAT JOB JESSICA !!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE THE BOLDNESS OF THE DEEP RED , AND ALL THE OTHER GREAT COLORS THAT BROUGHT OUT THAT RED . ITS A RICHNESS OF THOSE DEEP REDS THAT CATCH MY EYES ALOT IN YOURS ALOT , BECAUSE ALL YOUR PAINTS DO SHOW THEMSELVES QUITE RICH IN COLOR . AND I LIKE THAT THEIR A BIT THICKER TO. THE DEPTH OF THIS PIECE TRULY CATCHES THE EYE AND THAT BOLD RICH RED BUT ALSO THE DEEP DEPTH BRINGS THOSE CELLS OUT MORE TOO, AND YOU DID THE SCOOP N DRAGS I LIKE HOW THOSE WORK OUT FOR YOU IN YOUR ART . IT ADDS TO IT . I LIKE YOUR INTRO TO . HAPPY POURING
You are such a delight, Marguerite! Thank you so much for being here!
Thank you for all the great info on this technique. It’s so interesting to hear the theory behind the outcome.
This is a great experiment for negative space, Jessica. Beautiful results. 🎶💞🎶
You are so funny ,fun to watch and do great work! ❤ Very Pretty!❤❤❤
🤗 Thanks a lot, Mary!
I'm so glad I found you. This is what I like it's beautiful. I've been trying so hard to get something decent.
Thank you
You're a freakin witch ... Magician ... Maestra... Thank you😮
Delighted to see your video, you are the most truely in the moment RUclips artists I've come across. I love too the sweet quirky 'artful little docementaries' you make and your personality. Beautiful piece you created. Love and blessings from Ireland 🙂❣🍀
Thank you so much! Painting is a good way to practice to be in the moment. It's like meditating for me
Thank you. This is very helpful. Also thank you for sending my spinner so fast. I'm so excited and I can't wait to start playing with it.
I’m glad I could help. I’m never sure if it makes sense what I’m saying. Thanks for the reassurance
I actually watched you on my tv this time.. very cool
I Love the way some of the red & blk stayed as stripes .. those are my living room colors ♥️♥️👍🏼
Haha! My head must be huge!
@@WinterStromArt lol … I love your personality
You make the Art world shine a lil brighter!!
Your living room colors? Hum 🤔 Bet it can be purchased.🤣😂
Ich mag diese "asiatische" Komposition! Und Deine Technik ist meisterlich! Chapeau!
Vielen lieben Dank, Matthias!
I loved hearing how you worked out what you were going to do and why. Great video with awesome outcome. ❤️
I’m so glad that made sense to you! 😂 I’m never sure if the words that come out my mouth make sense in other peoples brains. And honestly it often doesn’t.
Thanks for the careful instructions. I love your style and quirkiness. This type of art is so diverse and interesting. I’m obsessed 😍
So am I. 🤓 Thank you, Laura!
I love this color palette and the stripes under the swipes. Love the negative space in this one too. Especially love that this one is more white and light than your heavier dark and black pours. Interesting and elegant composition!
That’s true. I used to do more of these. I should go back to more negative space. It’s very appealing
Stunning piece, I really really love this one. Thanks you.
Thank you! ❤️
This is beautiful! I had to watch you before I head into my studio because you always inspire me and I constantly learn from you! Thank you so much for putting yourself out there for all of us! I for one, truly appreciate you & your wonderful talent 💕💕
Haha! I should have you do warm ups... Thank you so much and have fun painting!
Your scoop and drags are so controlled. I know the genius of your unt-tinted paint without varnish to cause the line work to sink is more to the point of this wonderful video. But Jessica - your scoop and drags just kill it lady. Wow.
Thanks lulu! ❤️
Thank you for sharing very good insights! Awesome thoughtful painting!
Thank you for watching! 🦋
You are so much fun to watch.
Gorgeous, I love the colours and the cells are amazing 😍
Jessica it’s almost like a bloom goes clouds with those awesome cells surrounded in red ! Love it!
right?! I wish I knew why
New sub, you are amazingly talented. So happy I found you. I love that you March to the beat of your own drum… so do I. I think I’ll be very happy here. Thank you for all the tips my girl, you rock! 💙🖤🩵
Thanks so much for being here, butterfly from Boston! 😘
@@WinterStromArt Thank you for having me 😘.
Stunning❤🖤💛
Thank you, Alica! 😘
You are so darn cute and fantastically talented!
You're so sweet! Thank you
Love, love, love this! The stripey effect through the patches of cells is AMAZING, and yet works well with the amount of white space. Awesome!
You always amaze me!
❤️🤗❤️
Oh, I forgot to mention the careful distribution of the pillow paint. I won't even go into the troubles I have with the pillow paints I have fiddled about with here in France because no matter what those challenges might be - this helps with the 'less is more' lesson I need to pay attention to. Thank you.
Oh, I bet it’s hard to find the right ingredients in Europe. Sorry I can’t help
Beautiful!!
Thanks, Darlene!
Magical!
Thank you, Stephanie!
Quite beautiful! Thank you for your inspiration.
I love this Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with us
Wow! Love this!
You did exactly what you said you were going to do. Amazing 👏 Beautiful piece.
Haha, that's a first
Great video, I learned so much ! Stunning result!
Beautiful
Another beauty
Very cool. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
Thank you for watching!
This is soooo intriguing. The way you walk us thru your thought process makes it feel as though I am going along on an adventure. Your pieces are so well thought out that your finished works are intentional ...no longer a "pour". I am bored watching pours and excited to watch those with clear vision. You are very gifted already and I feel like you're just getting started!
This is amazing, Michelle! Because that’s all I want, to bring a little intention into something unpredictable
Very nice and I love the colors.
Thank you
An amazing piece. Your work fascinates me. Right up my valley! You are so talented & you open my eyes to possibilities! Thanks a bunch.
Thank you so much! I think you HAVE to be open to in painting as in life. Imagine how many things there are that you don’t realize. So many missed opportunities
Your work is breathtaking!
So inspiring...thank you!
Thank you so much, Laurie!
This is one of my all time favorites of yours. Unbelievable. Sad it had to spin off some of those details. But the end is spectacular.
Just found your silly face..you are brilliant…
loved the entire video so much..going to change from blooms to stripes...
but, needs to watch more of your techniques before I totally get it..
Haha! Hi and welcome! ❤️
Amazing work and composition. Thank you for sharing your methods.
Thank you for being here!
I Just love it tanks
That is an absolutely stunning piece! Thanks for sharing your process. 💕
Thank you so much for watching, Jolene!
I love this❤
Love this color combo and a lot of beautiful effects that you make. 🖤❤️💛🖤❤️🖤❤️💛
I'm glad you like it, Janja! Thank you for stopping by
Absolutely stunning!!! I just loooove your videos and get so excited to see what kind of techniques you will use!! Gotta try that boom gel! ♥️
Thanks so much 😊Yes, You gotta!!!!
Just discovered your channel. Love your Art. Your videos are so informative I’m slowly working my way through them and trying to master the art of ‘swiping’. I live in the UK and not many of the products you use are available here such as . Behr, Gliddens, Minwax, Aussie, American Floetrol. I imported 4 galls of Aussie Floetrol and a few tins of Minwax so I’m good with that for now. Just found a single UK outlet for JoSonja varnish so will be ordering some. I’m still looking for an alternate product for the pillow as Semi-Gloss isn’t an option.
Hi Lottie and welcome! I'm not familiar with products of the UK but I heard that Valspar Express Coat silk in pure brilliant white might be an option as your pillow. It's a dark bucket with a green label. Sorry I can't help more
Love it!! The composition and the control in this piece is amazing. I love using Boom gels 😊😍
Thank you! I have a bunch more colors but I usually just use the black. What are your favorites?
@@WinterStromArt Great! I like very much the greens and blues and their pearlescents 😍🤗
Traumhaft 🥰
Vielen Dank, Gerda!
😍Wunderschön, .. Ich Liebe deine Videos, 🙏Danke Jessica❤️🕉
Ich danke dir, Rene. Ich freu mich immer von dir zu hören!
Wunderschöne Kreation. Easier to get the ingredients in the US, Canada and Australia. Germany is still far behind☹️.
Schönes Wochenende
Dankeschön! Ja das stimmt leider. Ich frage mich, warum das australische floetrol nicht mehr eingeführt werden darf. Ich wünschte, ich wüsste über deutsche Zutaten Bescheid...
May I ask what kind of blooming gel you used in this video? You have all perfect cells here. Thank you!
I’m not sure what you mean with blooming gel. Did you mean boom gel? This is just a paint I use and does enhance the cells but it’s not responsible for them.
Love to watch you creating, Jessica! Beautiful piece and good advices always. By the way, I have tried several tomes to join, but I do not succed because it says that my banc does not accept. May be it is because of my country?
I think it might be the country. I know they’re working on it…
@@WinterStromArt great!👏🤳🤳
ich liebe es
Das freut mich sehr!
Boom Gel has alcohol in it to make those bubbles!
Really?! It doesn’t make the ‚bubbles‘ by itself though. Thanks for letting me know
Hi Jessica, thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge and skills, I think you are awesome!!
I am interested in purchasing your spinner. But firstly, do you deliver to Australia? Are there different sizes available and what are the prices please.
Thank you again and look forward to hearing from you.❤
I would absolutely send you one. The only problem are the shipping costs. Last time I checked it was around 100USD 😬…
Jessica, I love that, but what happened to all of your black lines I still love it and I think it is amazing.
Can you share why you use house paint as your pillow base vs acrylic art paint? Just curious! Thanks
Hey! I use house paint as my base basically as a vehicle for my composition. It’s based on the bloom recipe that @sheleeart came up with. The house paint is thick and stretchy perfect for expanding your composition with tilting and spinning. With most of other paint or paint mixes your paints on top would just sink through it but I want it on top. I hope, I’m making sense here… I could go more into it but it might be easier if you watched my recipe tutorial. That might answer your question better…
I absolutely love this!! I tried Amsterdam Gold for CA with not very good luck. What brand would you recommend? Love your work!!
Oh, that's weird. I thought all amsterdam paints work. I use Goldens heavy body. All their golds work.
I love your work, what is a cell activator?
Hi Mattie, my method came from the sheleeart bloom technique. the basics are consistency based (check my recipe tutorial for more information) you layer from thick to thin. the thinnest layer on top is called the cell activator. its paints mixed with australian floetrol
Hi, i am following you for a while now. I live in the netherlands and I have trouble vinding the right products. Is the behr dynasty An enamel paint?? And is it like colorless, kind of ser through??
Yes, it’s a wall paint that is not mixed with pigments yet. So a base (deep base in gloss). In some parts of the world you can have your wallpaint custom mixed. I don’t think Europe does that…
@@WinterStromArt thank you for answering. But had the paint got a white color or is it colorless???
What did u use for your pillow paint please?
I use glidden essentials in eggshell straight out of the can from Home Depot
@@WinterStromArt you are a beautiful human.
