The old 9.2 chryslers are such sweet running motors, but were they dogs? mine, despite being completely gone through with perfect compression, goes no faster than my 96' Evinrude 6hp and actually also gets beaten by my 9.5hp turtle motor evinrude. maybe they went to the 9.6 a couple years later to make them breathe better? any tips? throttle plate is exactly horizontal at WOT and high speed needle adjusted properly. just a dog! 2 blade prop should atleast let it be quick up top too.
Not to sound like a dummy I just bought one and got a new water pump and tune up when you troll it’s normal for it not to come outa the tell tale it just spits?

Doesn’t seem like it’s running 100%. Show video of you loosing it not secured to the transom next time. DNR would love that!
