Mercury's always seem faster than other makes of the same HP? Would like this motor on the back of my twelve footer.

Why does watching your videos make me want to be on a lake in Minnesota? I live on the water on Long Island. It does look peaceful where you are.

I can just smell the fresh air, the water, the nostalgic exhaust note. Thanks for the video.

Do you then sell these older motors ? If so, what’s the price range on this one (ball park ?)

I have what i think is a 1977 mod 110. it has the same hood decal as yours but on the side decal instead of the blue color for the middle 3 stripes that widen and turn down at the end above the Mercury letters they are silver. I was going to buy new ignition coils for it and found some cheap on ebay new but it was listed as coils for a Mercury 9.8 for years 1979 thru 1982. They look like the same coils on mine and I figure they should work even if they are the wrong size to fit in the coil covers as I could attach them with wire if necessary. Shouldn't a coil for a 9.8 hp Merc have the same voltage as one for a 9.8 Merc a year or two newer. I have not taken the flywheel off this engine and assume it is not one with points and should interchange with any 9.8 engine other than maybe the older ones with points or late model ones with different ignition systems. I saw a video that had a motor like yours and the guy took the stator off. There were no points. What do you think?.
