Thank you for explaining the situations where different tanks are strong rather than just saying “this tank is good, this tank is bad”!
Balance is temporary, the core of the characters remain! Plus, balance is irrelevant for the normal player so you should just play what you enjoy/suits you first and foremost!

love how you describe each tank in terms of how to get value rather than what's viable in high level meta. i do have a winton nitpick: i think he's much more aim-dependent. hitting rightclicks consistently is a huge deal. a fully charged m2 on a dps can force them out of a good position. m2 on a target while ur jumping for easier kills on squishies. i slept on snipermonke til i saw spilo's video on it. even as a low gold, potato aim maintank player, snipermonke has brought me much joy and success.
This guide has helped me a lot. Compared to others that just go “this tank good this one bad” or base it off a tier list didn’t help much so I really appreciate that you explained each of their strengths and weaknesses and what is required to play them efficiently
Roadhog does protect your team if you kill the enemy dps before the fight even starts

It's something I've done in the past but there's relatively less interest in that! I may do some in the future but I've got a few more ideas that I think will be more helpful!
I think with so many new maps coming out in OW2 at once, many player will feel lost like me and interests should be higher

I love your Winston description, I don't think people mention enough how tactical he has to play in order to be effective
Tanks feel so good on OW2 so I was really excited to learn and main doomfist, but he gets shredded so quickly and his abilities don't even generate much shield anymore
I absolutely love playing zarya so I noticed a few things off cause you missed the uses of her secondary fire
she can "rocket jump" with her secondary for quick repositioning
her secondary can also be used for (admittedly situational) long ranges with good aim as it never extinguishes
Thanks for making this video. Earlier in a game I was playing Zarya and we were getting decimated. On a whim I switched to sigma and suddenly we all blasted through the other team. Made me wanna learn which tank to use when. This is a great guide!

Saying zarya has no range and no mobility ignores two important and skillful parts of her kit: her grenade shot is a ranged option that is important to keep in mind, and her only mobility tool. Using zarya's rocket jump is an important skill on her, especially enabling her access to some highgrounds and being an important tool for fast retreats or getting to a fight fast. Saying she has low mobility and range would be more accurate.

To be fair to my girl Zarya, she does have more mobility than people give her credit for with her rocket jump. Which the devs buffed in OW2.

winston and zarya are strong rn I've been playing them diva is goof if you have a genji to dive with yiu or good coms
Nice and informative video with a great flow. A lot more could have been said for hog rather than just bashing him though, he has more than just a hook rotation on squishy targets. There is massive potential for tank displacement, drawing attention, body blocking and protection of your team with the hook when it comes to hog. You say to never pick him but then reference his as a threat to both ball and Winston, so obviously he has his place. He’s not a perfect pick if you’re looking for pure damage mitigation but come on, people just bash him because they hate playing with a bad hog and playing against a good one.
I wish Osiris stuck with his old kit with maybe some slight tweaks like what others got and instead they made his new abilities with a spear a brand new character from the top down, make his primary little electric orbs or lines that shoot out from spear (alot of games have this type of weapon but I'm referring to mostly warframes one ) and his second or alternate fire could actually be a melee liken to Reinharts just not as strong but also more then your regular punch melee , I just don't see why they basically tossed out a good solid kit that people liked and is gone for one that could have been used to make a new hero wntkre

Tank was my least played and weakest role in OW1
But with the change to how sensitivity works in OW2 (especially as a console player) my damage is falling off so I’m trying to improve at tank and support instead
Mostly support as again, I’ve rarely ever played tank in OW1
When is the dps guide coming out?
My best games have been with sigma so far during my two stints playing ow 1 I played dva mostly for tanks, I Want to work on Reinhart and doom fist but I think doom needs some dev help

I hope they do something to fix road hog, he was my main back in the early days of ow1, when he sort of qualified as a tank

In general, I try not to just TELL people what to pick ever because that's not a good way of learning. If I just tell you what to pick, you're blindly picking based off what I said, not making informed decisions based off of your knowledge of the game. So I always prefer to teach the players how to fish and let them figure the rest out for themselves rather than give them the metaphorical fish myself!

Look if you have good supports as junker queen I’d say she’s super underrated because she can just get healed so fast since her tank kit relies on healing instead of outright tanking

RoadHog needs some Team effiency, atleast something So if he fails in his Feild he can still be Useful, I'd say something Like Heavy, He can Grant Burgers(Heals for 175 health, Ally or Roadhog Gain 20% MS) to allies, Keeping them Silent when they Ask for healing.
Also he's a BODY guard, so with such a Large Figure He could make himself the Shield with High amounts of health at the cost of granting Some Ult Charge, the Tank passive Buff made this Possible, so I'd Grant him Blubber where he can overheal, past his maximum health ganning a shield(up to 245 Shield), it starts decaying after 3 sec. Down to 105 Shield health, When it Breaks or Roadhog kills 2 Targets he gains 20% MS.
I find the Burger Give mechanic at the cost of his healing canster cooldown( for 7 Sec. instead of 12) way more effective than the blubber because a Tank who grants immidate healing is immensely Helpful.

I don't like how certain tanks are just not viable in a lot of situations... Either the enemy tank counters you or the dps counters you. Go ahead fight a sombra as a dva but they have a winston... You counter Winston but at the same time you get hard countered by her.. It's pretty awful to play against a team which is uncounterable for the tank.
In ow2 one tricking a tank is throwing sadly.
Great videos good help however I do have to disagree with you about Roadhog being a bad pick. I've lost many games just from somebody owning the objective with Roadhog he kills everyone then heals himself before you can kill him. If a good player has Roadhog and just a little from the team It's game over for you.

"His powerblock allows him to absorb so much damage even after engaging aggressively" - expect you can still die while using powerblock and if your engaging aggressively solo or with team your just going to get CCd to death unless you have ult. I recommend not playing him and wait for buffs
I dunno, the more I follow the game, the more likely it seems that they'll nerf all the other tanks to just be worse instead.

I feel like these past 2 “when you pick” guides have been a very wide bit not super deep. I think new players need less help exploring their preferences and more help understanding synergies and differences in play style/goals of each hero. “Pick this hero when your team looks like X and then use this hero to go do Y from Z position”
